First I rented one unit for me and two family members, then two more decided to come, so we rented the other unit which worked out perfect. It's a great rental. Easy check in/out. Was very clean and well stocked with essentials e.g., blankets, towels, coffee. The setting by sea is wonderful for walks and it's right next to a Greek Café with good food. We met Susana on our way out which was lovely. Very nice lady. I can't wait to go back.

Many thanks to Susana for hosting our family of 6. The property was perfect for our 4 night stay and was accurately presented in the listing. It is directly across the street from the beach with a great view of the Sound and Charles Island in the distance. Everything you need is provided; if you opt out of cooking, the Greek restaurant next door is quite convenient and delicious. A long boardwalk/walking path to Walnut Beach is great for morning and evening strolls. Susanna is located right next door should you have any questions. We would stay again if we’re ever in the area.

Great location, beautiful view and access to the beach and great for families. Owner has everything you need for a comfortable stay (beach chairs, towels, washer, dryer, full kitchen) and she is so welcoming!

Location is excellent, especially Unit 2 upstairs with the upper view of the beach. Mrs. Li could not have been nicer or more accommodating! She provided anything that wasn’t there. Sofa bed could use a new mattress. A dishwasher in the kitchen would be nice, but no big deal. The washer/dryer is outstanding! Twin beds in one of the bedrooms would improve sleeping arrangements. But none of these small details would prevent us from returning! We hope to come back ASAP! Plus, “The Greek Spot” restaurant next door was a fabulous recommendation by her. Thanks so much Mrs. Li!

This was a very nice place to stay. A good beach just across the quiet street. Greek restaurant next door. Not far from lots of things to do! The only improvement I'd ask is more channels on the TV; for evenings and rainy days, one likes to watch news and sports.

We had a great stay, the apartment was perfect and everything was as advertised

We had a wonderful time at the Long Island Sound. Susana's property was everything that was promised. The property was clean, had a washer, dryer and ironing board, as well as, all the kitchen supplies. Our family was able to enjoy the beach, the state park and everything that Milford and surrounding areas offered. We especially enjoyed the Greek restaurant next door! We would definitely look to stay here again when we come back to the area.

This is an older apartment with a smaller bathroom. It's very clean, neat and organized. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for our stay. Plenty of towels, sheets ect. Great location with beautiful views. Thank you for the fresh fruit and bottle water.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was spotless. We had everything we needed to cook a family meal. We enjoyed great morning walks on the boardwalk. Ms. Li was very nice and met us when we arrived to show us the apartment. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I were looking for a central location in CT that would allow our daughters who are, one in NYC, the other in New Haven to join us for a good chunk of Thanksgiving week. This property seemed to offer what we needed. On arrival we were greeted by its owner, Susana, who welcomed us warmly, showed us the apartment and offered to help in anything we might need. The view of the Sound from the central living room window, the welcome basket of fruit and the nice bottle of red that awaited us all augured a relaxing and lovely time for us. Indeed, our stay was most enjoyable. The apartment was entirely efficient for our purpose. Although "economical" in its disposition (meaning not opulent or luxurious) it is well appointed, with accents and decorations that make the spaces warm and welcoming. It is well equipped and efficient and most importantly for us, the kitchen withstood very well the enthusiasms of a family that loves to cook together and enjoy a splendid meal in good company! The central living area, with its expansive view of the Sound was most welcoming and lent itself perfectly for card games, Christmas music and good conversation and drinks. The location of the apartment gave us ample opportunity for enjoyable beach walks (although we did less of that than planned, given a cold snap) and allowed us to wander into the Silver Sands State Parks (a five minute walk from the apartment), with its lovely boardwalk, grass marshes, etc. On the other end, the quaint and lovely town of Milford with its nice restaurants, marina, parks, etc., is only a five minute drive; likewise, accessibility to grocery and other shopping necessities. Net, we had a most enjoyable stay. The apartment was well represented on the web site (i.e., you got what you saw) and came through beautifully to allow us a great week of warm family time. The neighborhood is friendly. There is a wonderful restaurant right next door, The Greek Spot. We loved every minute!

Very nice, clean, comfortable, a few steps to the beach. Susanna was a wonderful host, if you have any questions or need anything she is right there. The surrounding neighborhood is very nice. If you like long walks on the beach this is the place. Stores, restaurants are minutes away. Because the house is on a dead end street traffic is minimal.

The apartment was exactly as described. We had a lovely visit with family, enjoying walks along the Sound each day. Susanna was very helpful and quickly answered our questions. We are waiting to hear back regarding one remaining item, but I'm sure it will be taken care of quickly. We will definitely be staying here again.

This place is just about as good as being right on the beach but at a fraction of the price. It is right across the street from the beach with a clear view of Charles Island due to there being no houses on the other side of the street in that spot, AND you are allowed to use that beach, so it's basically exactly like you're renting a house on the beach. It is also only about 5 or so houses down from Silver Sands State Park beach. The other big plus compared to the rentals on the beach is that it didn't have a week minimum stay (we only had 3 nights we could stay). The 180 degree windows in the front room were amazing to sit and look at the beach. The keyless entry is really handy because you can just head to the beach without having to keep track of a key. The apartment definitely has its quirks as an old beach cottage like a slightly sloped front room, but I love that. There are fewer and fewer of the old cottages remaining at this beach and it's so fun to get to stay in one that hasn't been so overly redone to the point of losing its character. Everything was functional and modernized enough to be very comfortable. Susana was very nice and even brought over some little cars for my three year old which she said he could take home. He was so excited and talked about "the nice lady next door" the whole time. Susana, I was hoping I could include photos with my review but it doesn't look like I can. Very nice apartment. It has everything you could expect. Susana is a perfect host. The beach is seconds away and it is really peaceful. The view is great and changes by the second due to the tide. We were there with two little children and they really enjoyed it. We went to the Essex Steam Train (40min away) and came back to have a nice afternoon by the sea. Thanks a lot Susana !!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get away that might have a water view...and despite it being 'winter'............we had a wonderful time at this lovely 'water view' home. The apartment was just what we needed....very clean, very comfortable and just what we needed after some hectic holidays. The day we arrived, despite the date, it was about 60 or 62 degrees, and low tide at the 2 p.m hour....so we took a walk out on the sandbar and we were blown away at the beauty all around us. The sandbar, only during low tide, will take you out to this tiny sanctuary island....just amazing. At night you could see the lovely flickering lights of Long Island. We couldn't have lucked out any better for a late December trip. That night we found an amazing restaurant for dinner, I think it was called The Bridge House....spectacular food and atmosphere. Next day we enjoyed the ease of catching the Metro north for a jaunt into NYC. Although we didn't get to experience much more of Milford CT, we did find a tiny little breakfast place on our way out which was lovely too. We can't thank our host enough, Suzanna....she was prompt and friendly, greeting us with a bottle of wine, a nice big bowl of fresh fruit...and orange juice in the fridge! Such great hospitality..... and so we highly recommend a stay on East Broadway to anyone. Oh and by the way, we were just two people, but there is a second bedroom, perfect for kids. Oh, and there was plenty of closet space in this apartment. Thank you again to our host...and to the shores of Milford CT
