Check in process was smooth. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Location and private beach for cottages was amazing. Staying 10 days would have liked cleaning service and linen change every couple of days as being on the beach a lot you drag in sand but besides this our vacation was perfect!

Very relaxing beautiful place. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. The owners are great people and Juan the caretaker is very helpful and always there if you need anything. I will definitely stay there on my next trip to the island.

Great place to stay. It's out of town which was nice to get away from all the tourists who visit for the day.

Villa Makax is an amazing piece of property located on a very nice stretch of beach in Isla Mujeres facing Cancun. The pool is the perfect size to relax in and it is crystal clear. The compound and casa's are super clean and have everything you need to enjoy just a few days or an extended vacation. The beach is very quiet, you can sit in private beach chairs and watch the boats sail by down the coastline. Steve and Lindell are wonderful people who have created a very special spot. A wonderful peace of paradise to relax and meet new friends. We will definitely return to this amazing property.

Only wish the location was a little closer to town.

Our 5th visit to Villa Makax. As always we were delighted by our welcome and settled into our easy routine of beach walks with Lassie, book reading under the palapa, swims (including in the new pool) and watching sunsets. We look forward to our return.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Makax Casita Perla over the Christmas holiday 2017. It was wonderful. Having our own Casita just steps away from a private beach that is great for swimming and just relaxing, but if you prefer the pool is awesome as well. The restaurant just the beach was open Christmas day for eats. The owners, Steve and Lindell are wonderful hosts. Their support staff, Juan and he wife are quite awesome as well. They will do shopping and errands as they had our place stocked with some beer and Kahlua. The puppies Lassie and Bella made it feel like home as well. We rented a golf cart for 10 days and that just made it perfect! Wouldn't trade a minute of our time at Villa Makax and Isla Mujeres!

My husband and I spent two weeks on this beautiful property. It was exactly what we wanted, a traditional Isla experience. Everything we needed was available in the house and if we needed anything Juan was quick to assist. Our mornings were coffee on the beach and snorkeling, we loved the outdoor shower and grill. The Internet was very good too. We liked walking down the beach to Zama to swim in their pools. Many great places to eat nearby and having a rented golf cart allowed us to really experience the whole island. Finding fresh fish and lobster at the market down town was perfect for us and watching the locals bring in their catch of the day. This was the perfect place for us to relax, the property is quiet, safe and very clean. I have already shared with many people because I feel this place is a real gem.

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Steve and Lindell are great hosts. They are there if you need them but not intrusive. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and just perfect for quiet time in a beautiful setting. Can't say enough about the landscaping, pristine. You can tell that much pride is taken and they really want you to feel at home. Rented a golf cart from the caretaker's family, fair price and delivered to us, no hassles. Met 3 other couples who were staying there also. They gave us some barracuda to cook in our little kitchen. Everything is there that you need to have a great time! All that is needed is you!! Lovely, just lovely!.
