Great location, near everything but in a quite area with beautiful surroundings. Super clean and the hosts were kind and helpful to all our needs. Highly recommend to anyone that wants some excitement but quite time too !!

Had a great first visit to Sarasota to visit a friend. This apartment was excellent for the two of us. Close to the airport and downtown. Private parking and little cottage apartment. We will definitely stay here again in our next visit.

This property was great for our short stay in Sarasota. Description and photos accurate, very clean and Lynn and Doug could not have been more accessible to anything we needed or had a question! Will plan to use this again should the need arise !

This place was absolutely perfect for a two person getaway. It was a quick 5 minute drive from the airport and about 10 minutes from St. Armand’s Circle and beautiful beaches. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and made for a very welcoming stay. The place was beautiful!

The cottage is truly lovely, and very restful. It is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely bathroom with shower, a storage closet, a comfortable bed with nightstands and a dresser for storing our clothes, and a cozy living room, with loveseat, two chairs, and an entertainment center with TV. Our hosts thoughtfully provided access to a washer and dryer, and they had beach towels, and chairs, and even frisbees and games to take to the beach.
The gardens outside are lovely and there is an outdoor table and chairs where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast. The cottage feels hidden away because of the tropical foliage and delightful garden. Even though the area had been experiencing a drought, it felt like a little slice of paradise to us.
There is so much to explore and do in the Sarasota area. We were only five minutes from the Ringling Museum and estate, about five minutes from downtown where there are lots of good restaurants and interesting shops, and less than ten minutes to the Selby botanical gardens. We spent one evening at Lido Beach to watch the sunset about ten minutes away, and we spent the last afternoon on Siesta Key, which is only about 15 minutes away, although it took us at least that long again to find a parking space. Sunday afternoons seem like prime time for everyone to go to the beach.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the cottage, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Beautifully designed and maintained,, including fresh flowers and greenery awaiting our visit. We didn't take to the searing sunshine and scalding weather, but found the cottage our welcome refuge. Its proximity to a Publix market nearly just around the corner proved a godsend.

We had such a good time in Sarasota! Doug was so kind helping us in & helping my husband with laundry! The cottage is so cute & within driving distance of everything! We loved it!

The place is very cozy, clean and comfortable. The location is great, a very short drive to downtown Sarasota and the beaches. The hosts: Lynne and Doug were very welcoming and helpful. We truly enjoyed staying there

This was a fantastic little cottage! It's exactly as advertised in the listing and VERY well appointed; high-quality bed linens and towels, great kitchen supplies, well-designed and functional use of space, and stunning gardens. Lynne was beyond accommodating and friendly, and truly made our stay in Sarasota fantastic. I highly recommend this dreamy little spot!

This lovely condo is exactly as pictured. There is a private patio area featuring table and chairs for outdoor dining with beautiful landscaping all around the unit. We spent our mornings and evenings out on the patio listening to the birds singing. Lynn has good information for local events, restaurants, shopping. We loved our stay and would hope to again!

Excellent choice for a single person or couple wanting to explore Sarasota. Close drive from airport and then close to the tours and downtown. Full kitchen and 7 blocks from grocery store. Tucked amid Beautiful garden behind a gate. Hosts live on property making it very safe for solo travelers. Laundry access too!

We loved the cozyness and the patio with all the greenery and flowers. The studio is airy and bright, clean and well furished and eqipped with all essentials. We also loved being in a residential area but so close to everthing as we love to walk and explore. A Publix store a few blocks away is very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was perfect for our 3 night stay in Sarasota. Right outside the cottage is a beautiful and relaxing garden perfect for enjoying the sounds of nature and enjoying the Sarasota weather. The host personally greeted us when we arrived and even offered to help us with our luggage.

Property was exactly as described, perfect for our short getaway to Sarasota.
Owners were very friendly and easy to work with…even helped carry in our luggage upon arrival.
Rental was very clean and well decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with all of our needs and the outdoor sitting area was very relaxing and beautiful.
Definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone traveling to Sarasota.

Hi there! Everything was just perfect but, being the coffee freak I am I would have appreciated some coffee (even if a cheap variety) for that first morning. And, a coffee grinder would be a bonus. Guests can visit the Publix the next day to pick out their own. That’s what I would have done if there was a grinder. Oh, and coffee “to go” mugs would be nice, too. Hope that helps and good to meet you both! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Beautiful, secluded oasis…. Perfect for a couple’s getaway. Very close distance to several Sarasota attractions and the water. Will definitely return again if traveling to the area.

The entire experience was a breeze. The hosts were very welcoming and had everything ready for our stay. The property is small but very cute, absolutely clean and very well equipped. Location is perfect, close to downtown Sarasota and just minutes away from the beaches. We are already planning our return here.

We absolutely love our stay at Doug and Lynne’s garden cottage. It is exactly as described and obvious that much personal care and intention have gone into it. The garden is a calm and creative oasis, the private deck is perfect for a quiet evening drink under a canopy of green. The cottage has everything you need. The bed is comfortable (we prefer a softer mattress). We walked downtown a few times for our night out. And driving to any of the local sites was extremely easy. Doug and Lynne are welcoming, warm and very accessible hosts. We loved our stay.

We loved the cottage. Just the right size for two. Easy to find, lots to do. Close to grocery store. We cooked most of our meals on the grill supplied by our host. Doug n Lynne covered all our needs n answered all questions. Will go back

We loved everything about this property. Gardens were beautiful. We felt like we were in the middle of a rainforest. The cottage itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and was a perfect size for the two of us. Location was great. Suggestion sheet from owner was really helpful.

Absolutely perfect!
The property is adorable. Very clean and up to date. The yard is beautiful. The little cottage is so perfect for a couple or a stay on your own.
Less than 10 minutes to Lido Beach, with traffic.
I love Lido Beach, St. Armand’s Circle and University Town Center Mall. I live in Florida. But this is a property that I would rent again.

Perfect bungalow
My husband and I visited Doug and Lynne’s place for a spontaneous anniversary trip. It was spectacular! Both Doug and Lynne were amazing hosts and tended to every need we could possibly have. The offer was made that if there was anything we needed to let them know and they would go out and get it for us! The property is lovely! A little oasis of paradise that has been lovingly tended to. Everything we needed for the beach was there as well. We hope to visit again soon!

Lynne and Doug are the best hosts to rent from !! We enjoyed our stay (4 nights) in their garden cottage. It is perfect for two people and has everything single thing you could need or want. There are beach chairs, games, beach towels, umbrellas, etc. No need to pack items like this ;) The cottage is a short drive to many beautiful beaches in the area. We enjoyed driving 25 minutes to Anna Maria Island but also checked out Siesta Key as well. The airport is literally 5 minutes away. No noise from the airport. We will definitely will stay here again when visiting this area:) Meeting Jack was an added bonus :) Thank you again for your kind hospitality:)
