Kemp’s Rentals was great. Everything was as listed. We met with the owners and they are very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place if you have a large group. We will stay here again if our travels ever bring us this far north.

We rented the property for a family wedding. There were 6 adults and we all were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The view down by the water was beautiful! I would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone :).

We had so much fun at Tech’s winterfest and the place is a great location, easy to get to. Fully stocked kitchen with all the hardwear and cooking wear. Very clean!!!

We decided to do a destination Christmas this year for us and our adult children. Ideally we wanted a winter wonderland with lots of snow and a cozy place to enjoy our time together. Our Dollar Bay Barndominium was perfect. The place was right out of a magazine with open but inviting spaces and plenty of room for all 10 of us. We were there 12/23 - 12/26 and had a magical Christmas morning with a giant breakfast cooked in the amazing kitchen and plenty of time sharing gifts and making unforgettable memories. The place was clean and meticulously maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook all our meals and the beds were super comfy. We didn't use any of the outdoor spaces or go to the lake due to a blizzard and constant snowing. We would love to visit in the summer time to be able to experience the ambiance of the lake pavilion. If you're looking for a winter wonderland Houghton is the place to be.

We absolutely loved our stay. This property could not be more immaculately kept. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

Been renting properties for large groups for last 20 years, this property and the adjoining property were the nicest we have ever experienced. That along with the use of the lakeside pavilion and fire pit made this property top notch.

The carriage house had everything we needed and the pavilion was amazing with an absolutely beautiful view.

Upper Michigan is our favorite place to vacation - Sandy and Dan's Carriage House was the very first cabin/house rental of many we stayed, that was more beautiful and very accurate with the online pictures. Gorgeous house with all the comforts of home. Although we did; we did not need to leave the premises to enjoy our vacation. The Lake-Beach-Firepit and Pavillion were the perfect place to hang out, swim, enjoy water sports, play games, grill food and just relax in the fresh air while in or out of the sun. When we come back to The Keewenaw, we will for certain be looking at staying with the Kemps again!

Loved the living space and the beautiful location. Kids went swimming every day and played corn hole. Nothing to complain about except I expected the whole place to be air conditioned and only the main living area had air. The bedrooms were hot unless the nights cooled off. There were enough fans for each room and each also had ceiling fans.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. The house was cozy, and comfortable as well. To top it all off, the owner was friendly and easy to communicate with.

From the moment we arrived, our time at the Carriage House was perfect! We had Everything we needed and more! The kitchen was very well equipped, bedrooms were great and very comfortable! And plenty of bathrooms for our group of eleven! Plenty of room to eat, play cards and games, and just hang out with each other. Our family is spread out across the U. S., so we appreciate anytime most of us can be together! Sandy was great to work with both prior to, and during our stay! Hope we get to come back again!

Perfect spot for the key!

We rented out three of the homes for our trip. Everything was perfect.

We rented the house and barn for a group of 18. We have all been doing this for a while and this was by far the best set up yet. Fantastic accommodations, right off the trail, and Sandy and her husband were great! We already booked for next year.

Lovely property. Spacious and open living area with plenty of comfortable beds. Since we get little to no snow in our part of Ohio we appreciated taking the little ones sledding.

11 friends stayed for the weekend. Beautiful converted barn, access to the beach via a lit path. We had a wonderful time. We will return!

Everything was great at the house, clean and stocked with everything we needed

Sandra's property is absolutely wonderful! The lake front firepit and pavilion were great for evening relaxation and fun. The Carriage House was clean, well-stocked, and wonderfully designed. We look forward to future stays at this property!

We stayed here with 11 people for a weekend and throughly enjoyed the lodge style and waterfront grille area!

We had such a good time. Very accommodating. The gazebo is an amazing place to hang out on the water. We will be back again.

Lots to do in the area, beach just down the road.

We had 12 people in our group, made up of 4 adults and our 8 adult age boys and their girlfriends. It was a great space for all of us. We really enjoyed using the lake side gazebo and firepit, and sharing it with the neighbors was no problem since they communicated to us when they were having a party. The owners were great! Very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Wonderful location and within riding distance of so many great sight seeing areas.

We had an amazing trip to the UP and our stay at Kemp's Loft was what made it all possible! The Loft is absolutely beautiful, every inch of space has been precisely executed. There is plenty of room for your family to gather and is stocked with every kitchen supply you would realistically need. Having a full size washer/dryer was a life saver to keep the kids clothing fresh and dry! The stairs certainly helped us make sure we got our steps in each day:-) The Pavilion was by far our favorite place to spend the evenings, watch the sunset. We kayaked, paddle boarded, purchased fishing poles to fish and rented a pontoon boat for a few days to leave at the dock. The kids roasted marshmallows at the fire pit and we enjoyed watching a rainstorm from under the Pavilion.Sandy was by far the kindest owner/property manager I have ever dealt with and we look forward to a return trip in a few years! My kids said this was the best trip ever!!

Everything about this beautiful space was beyond excellent. The layout, the design, the space, the quality of the hard pressure fresh water, the convenience of having a washer and dryer, comfy beds, extra blankets and towels, a high quality sauna, the house was super clean and eased a lot of stress, there are plenty of other details and qualities of this cabin house! The outside space and location was just as amazing. I cannot wait to host another retreat here! Sandy is just as amazing and helpful.
