House was gorgeous; the view itself was worth the trip. My entire family loved the house and the decor. John was super communicative and friendly. My family was here for my daughter’s graduation, which was memorable in itself, but the mountain house made it even that more memorable. Do not hesitate to book this house!

We loved our time this weekend for a family wedding at this wonderful location. Weather was a little foggy much of the visit, but when the sun broke through it was stunning. If you are prone to issues with altitude I would say you will notice it in your sinuses as we saw many indications including my headache of high altitude! But other than that I would totally recommend this beautiful home!

The house is perfect for 3 couples to stay. The views are incredible. The house is also set up well for a visit.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice, quiet getaway for our anniversary at this mountainside home in Banner Elk with beautiful views of nearby mountains. We got to experience spring-like days and snow the last day we left. There's a pasture in the background where you will see deer grazing and roaming early morning and evening. There are many things to do in the area including a short trip to Grandfather Mountain. The owners of the property were welcoming and courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

House was clean; easy access to the slopes. Great deck with an amazing view. Everything was so easy from start to finish. Highly recommended

I was due to arrive with 6 adults and it ended up being just my partner and I. We had a great stay. The road was a bit narrow and steep to get typo the cabin. But I guess that’s to be expected on a mountain. The check in and out was seamless. The property as clean and as pictured. The view was breathtaking. No complaints.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is unbeatable, close to everything you wanted to do in the area. Check in and checkout was a breeze. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The cabin is as described and beautifully maintained. It is so close to Banner Elk and Sugar Mountain. It was perfectly sized for my family to spread out. We will definitely be back!!!!

I want to first start off saying thank you to our wonderful host John. Our stay was amazing!The second we drove up to the beautiful mountain home we were so excited. The location is perfect. Minutes away from beech mountain skiing. The decore inside is perfect. Makes you feel like you are in the mountains. Fireplace was wonderful. John's place has everything you need for all your meals preparations. Now the view. Breathtaking! Coffee every morning looking at grandfather mountain. You can actually see the outline of grandfather from the deck. Living in Florida I couldn't get enough. John's place was one of the cleanest places I have stayed. Parking is level. Beautiful mountain retreat, perfect for the family or group of friends. The home was expertly decorated to give the feel of holiday cheer. Curl up by the cozy fire or relax on the back deck with a phenomenal view of the rolling mountains. This was our second time staying and we look forward to returning again soon!

Beautiful home in a perfect location in Banner Elk. The view was unbeatable from all rooms in the house. The home has 2 living rooms which is very beneficial with a family with children or a large party. Wonderful vacation!

Our stay at Grandview was incredible! The house was very cozy and accommodating! The views were absolutely breathtaking! John was the perfect host and catered to our every need! This house is located in a secure gated community and made us feel safe and at ease the whole time. We will absolutely be back!

Fantastic rental! The view is superb and so nice to sip coffee in the mornings on the deck rocking chair or have a family meal on the outdoor table. Very clean and well-appointed decor. We have stayed at many mountain rental homes over the years and this would be one of the few I would look for again in the future.

Perfect from the minute we walked in the view was amazing the house is just as beautiful.

My family took a quick trip to the mountains to celebrate our 7 year old’s birthday and do some tubing in Todd and visit Grandfather Mountain. The cabin cannot be in a better location for access to Banner Elk, Boone, Grandfather Mountain and so many awesome places. It is a quick and easy trip partially up the mountain. The house is very clean and beautifully appointed. The beds were comfortable and the home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay comfortably. The home was a great temperature inside despite the hot temperatures outside. There is no A/C but it was not needed to stay comfortable. The best part of our stay was the gorgeous unobstructed view of Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain and the valley below Beech Mountain. I spent so much time just sitting on the deck and watching the mountains. We highly recommend this home and we hope to return soon.

Had a great “empty nesters” getaway with friends! Home was very comfortable and had everything you would need. Fabulous views and host was very communicative. Would definitely return.

Great time at Grand View and the views from the deck was awesome. Spent everyone morning & evening on the deck enjoying the view, eating meals, and having an afternoon cocktail. Master bed was very comfortable but the overhead fan needs replaced/repaired as it only works on high. Would come again.

This cabin has it all--comfy beds, lots of living space, spacious kitchen and a huge porch to take in the wildlife, the scent of sun warmed flowers and sunsets. We loved our stay!

Luxury usually means a bar of soap in each bathroom at the very least. Windows that all work., screens without holes….some repairs need to be resolved. Lack of listing no A/C except taped on side of refrigerator, for those with allergies this is a must. Beds hard and pillows thin. View is exceptional, decor is nice. Luxury is not a word to be used on this property

We absolutely loved our stay for 4th of July week. We enjoyed watching fireworks from the deck. Our 4 kids thought it was magical. It was a relaxing and family connecting vacay in the perfect location.

This house was perfect for our trip to the mountains. We had easy drives to Linville caverns/falls/gorge, Grandfather Mountain, Beech Mountain, The Blowing Rock, and Roan Mountain. This was a comfortable home base with everything we needed. We loved sitting on the deck looking at the amazing views each evening after our adventures.

The cabin was tastefully decorated with ample room for us all. The mountain views were spectacular. The cabin owner was very responsive when we had questions. We are hoping to come stay again in the future.

This house was everything we were looking for. The home was beautiful and the views were amazing. Easy to get to in a gated community, entry was easy and the house was amazing.
