We had a wonderful time at silver strand. We would definitely stay again. The house was fantastic and there was plenty of space for all our family.

Our family had the best time staying here. We spent relaxing time on the beach, watched beautiful sunsets from the deck, played fun games and just spent quality time together. The house was perfectly stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! We can’t wait to go back!! Excellent hosts too!

This property was perfect for me and my family. It is very spacious, the pictures don’t do that justice. The bedrooms are well separated so plenty of privacy for all of us. We enjoyed the rooftop fire pit the most of all! The only qualms we had were there were no hand towels or toiletries provided in the bathrooms and the windows were very dirty which distracted from the beauty of the beach. Overall a great little getaway.

The location was good, but we couldn’t see the sun at all , we drove 1 hour any direction to see the sun. Also the rug in the living room was very spotty, we couldn’t use the bedroom with the bank beds because there was such a strong odor, so we had to book a hotel room for one family. The house is not cheap, but no shampoo no body wash gel, nothing.

Thanks for letting us stay in your awesome home for our guys golf weekend. Plenty of space and accommodation for 8 adult dudes.

The condo was a perfect size for our family and had all the right amenities, including all sand toys, inside toys, towels, everything a family with kids could want. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to come back again!

The views from here are stunning

The house and location are very nice. I saw in a few other reviews there was a black pipe running along the beach. It was there when we stayed also. I believe from reading a newspaper article that this is part of a project to move sand from the harbor to the beach and that the project moves up and down the coast, so the pipe may not be there all the time. As it was January and we were not spending alot of time sitting on the beach, it wasn't a problem and the ocean and beach are otherwise beautiful. The house was comfortable for our family and the kitchen was well equipped.

A group of us stayed here over the Christmas vacation and had an amazing time. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is amazing and comes fully stocked. Being right on the sand in Silver Strand is unmatched, it is a gorgeous location with every beach toy you can think of right in the garage. The property owner was friendly and thorough, the check in/out process was the easiest we’ve had. Would highly recommend staying in this home!

My family traveled from Bakersfield and Seattle to celebrate Thanksgiving at Silver Strand Beach. Weather was spectacular all but one day when there were intense Santa Ana winds that blew a window out. The oven decided not to heat up so our Turkey could roast. Fortunately, my son and daughter -in law figured a way to cut the bird apart and cook it on the BBQ. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils, bowls, baking sheets, cutting boards, and pots and pans, and it is big enough for several people to prepare food. Even though it was Thanksgiving, Dan responded to my texts and phone calls about the oven and the window. He tried to get repair people out, but couldn’t. And he kept me informed in a timely manner. Also, check in and out we’re quite easy and the property location could not be better. It is right on Silver Strand Beach and near grocery shopping, restaurants, and the harbor. Plus, a beer and wine tavern is a short walk away.

Beautiful house right on the beach.

You cannot beat the convenience of an on-the-sand location in a high-end house! We enjoyed all the included amenities like sand toys, boogie boards, and paddle board and it was VERY convenient not to have to haul all that stuff with us! The bikes need maintenance so we didn't enjoy those. But overall, it is a GREAT place to stay! However, there were a couple of pain points you might want to be aware of when you plan your visit. The main one is there was a big ugly black pipe across the entire length of the beach that we were never told about. We have been here three times previously during this same time of year and have never encountered it before. Locals told me that every other year from October-March they dredge the bay of sand and set up the pipe to do so. So it is not permanent. I was wondering why they didn't bury it. They set up piles of sand in regular locations so you can walk over it to get to the water. I was a bit ticked we weren't informed of this beforehand. Another minor yet annoying pain point was the unnecessarily complex light switches. I have never seen a light switch with 7 different buttons. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to turn on the bathroom light.

This is our second time staying at this property. As soon as we left the last time, we immediately rebooked it we love this house so much Dan is such a wonderful host. He even sent our kids a box of snacks while we were there. He communicates so quickly. The house is so beautiful. It has so many bonuses and amenities.

We loved staying at Dan’s beach house. He was very easy to communicate with the entire trip. The house is beautiful and provided everything we needed for our stay. The access to the beach is unbeatable! We will definitely stay here again!

We have been renting beach homes on Silverstrand for at least 15 years and about 5 years ago decided to try this property. We love it for its views, the proximity to many things to do and places to eat, and the graciousness of the owners.

Perfect spot for families with adult children - bedrooms are on 3 different levels so each get their privacy.

The house is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is large and has everything you might need. The garage is filled with beach toys, bikes and whatever else you might need to enjoy your time. Sitting on the deck you can watch the dolphins with your morning coffee and in the evening watch the sun set right in front of you. Can’t be beat. The owner Dan, is so accessible and great to communicate with. Check-in is effortless. Highly recommend.

Loved being on the beach. The house had everything you need to go to the beach. The kids liked the game room with pool table and dart board. We loved watching the sunset on the balcony. We had a very nice stay.

This property delivered everything it promised and more. Opening the patio doors and stepping onto the sand was just what my family needed to recharge. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans and baking dishes which was fantastic as we all live to cook. There were plenty of sand and water toys on hand as well to keep everyone busy. There are 3 floors, with bedrooms on each allowing for privacy for large groups. My grand daughter was able to go to bed undisturbed while the adults continued to mingle on a different floor. Dan was an extremely attentive host responding to any questions or issues that arose in a timely manner. We truly enjoyed every minute of our time and look forward to booking another getaway next year.

Overall this is a great property. It's on a wide, quiet stretch of sand with ocean views and beautiful sunsets from the master suite, living room/dining room, and game room. The upstairs deck was my favorite place to sit and relax. Having access to a paddleboard and kayak was a big bonus for us, and we enjoyed using them. We were dismayed that the house was not very clean when we arrived. We actually swept and mopped the house before we unpacked because the floors were dirty and there were food scraps left on the rug under the dining table. (We did let the owner know and he said he would speak to the cleaning service.) Since we cooked every meal we noticed the stove and ovens need some adjustments (one oven ran high, the other ran low and all of the burners had ignition issues). All in all, we would return for another vacation, especially if the cleaning issues are addressed.

This is my family’s fourth year coming to Dan’s beautiful beach house and it never disappoints. The home itself has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The beach is quiet and serene. I always love to sit on the balcony while I watch the kids play in the sand and fly kites. This house has given us a lot of joy. Thank you again Dan!
