Ruth, I wanted to take a moment to emphasize just some of the features of your home that we took advantage of during our stay. For starters, the proximity to JPL was key to our decision to stay in Pasadena while visiting our son. It is also very close to the very first disc golf course in the world – Oak Grove – which I played 4 times. Having a private, non-shared home for the week was very important to us. We’d start by planning each day during breakfast before going out to experience a different activity in Los Angeles. We’d end our day in the pool in the late afternoon and debrief there before dinner. The pool was great. During our stay, the daytime temperature was between 92 and 100 degrees. We did not need to use the pool heater at all during our stay. From the pool, we marveled at the beautiful landscaping that surrounded the pool area. We could spot a few oranges that looked almost ready to pick in the tree! We used the grill to cook out a couple of evenings. It was perfect. Having the ability to do laundry during our stay meant having very little to do when we returned home! Inside the home décor preserved the beauty of the craftsman bungalow style in detail. One morning we used the oven to bake cookies for the big cookie contest at JPL (3rd place in the contest). We were so busy during our trip that we didn’t have a chance to watch television at all – which was really nice. And we were usually so tired that we were asleep by about 9:30 every night. The new per diem cost to use and heat the pool/spa is now prohibitive. In the future, we will most likely choose a property that does not have a pool.

Had a wonderful experience at this cute house in the historic bungalow district in Pasadena. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The owner said they are getting custom blinds for the upstairs loft soon. Just be aware it makes for little privacy and makes it hard to sleep if you are sensitive to light.

My husband and I came to Seattle with three 90-year old parents, for our son’s college graduation. The house is lovely and the back yard a serene sanctuary. The only things I will point out is that the two rooms with queen beds the beds are very high for short people. Also there is not a handrail at front entrance. These are only issues if you are visiting with folks who have balance and mobility issues. Despite these challenges we all had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the house/backyard tremendously. Our family of 4 spend almost two month at the house. The house is Conveniently located in a quite family neighborhood. The house was comfortable, cozy with well equipped kitchen that has everything you need for cooking and enjoying family meals. Little touches all over the house makes you feel welcomed. Our favorite place was to spend time at the beautiful outdoor patio, with lemon and orange trees, pool and jacuzzi. Wonderful garden makes one feel on vacation. Everything is well taken care off. The owners are incredibly responsive and accommodating. We would highly recommend the place.

Pristine, lovely and homey. Ruth, I just want to say that it was absolutely adorable and it made us feel like we were in someones warm, inviting home instead of stuffy hotel, but all we were saying is that we want to buy your lovely home and live there. It was peeerfeect for our needs. The memories that we made there for my son's wedding is truly priceless. Location was fabulous, we were about 6 minutes from the brides home and 5 minutes from the other family that booked there vrbo's. Gorgeous property and lovely amenities!

The home was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay overall. The upstairs children's bedroom does however need blinds/window coverings to keep the room temperature reasonable and to keep the sun out in the early morning so that children can sleep. Currently there are no window coverings in that room so we had to make do with a DIY approach during our stay. I did also have a difficult moment with the owner who accused us of having a dog in the house (having received false information from someone - a disgruntled neighbor perhaps?) with no basis for the accusation and who did not apologize for the upset her rude accusation caused us. So beware of that risk. The location was perfect for our stay but I suspect the neighbors aren't too happy with having people coming and going and may have deliberately raised a false alarm to create an issue between us and the owner. Either way her approach was rude and accusatory, and we did not appreciate that. I would not return on that basis.

Traveled with multi generations, and the house worked so well for everyone! Pool, spa, and outdoor space were our favorite parts. So thoughtfully designed and plenty to enjoy. Highly recommend.

I stayed for a month in this beautiful bungalow while meeting my new granddaughter. The house, pool and yard are exquisite. I don’t think there is a prettier place in California. Ruth and Phil, the owners, were exceptional hosts. I don’t want to recommend it too highly because I want it to be available the next time I come to visit.

We rented this house for my parents who were visiting the area - they stayed for about 40 days and loved every day of their stay. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything one needs. The backyard and the pool are extra bonuses. The neighborhood is very charming , close to a nice cafe . We highly recommend this space. And Ruth is a great host, she was super helpful and great and fast communication.

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks mid October 2020. Our sons, dtr in law and our 11 m grandchild came everyday to visit us and to enjoy the great outdoors. Beautiful pool with spa, large outdoor table and a separate area with lounge chairs. We ate and cooked all the meals at home, the equipment is all first quality, including a large outside outstanding gas grill . The kitchen and pantry were great, good quality for indoor and outdoors plates, glasses, pots, pans. Dishwasher, washing and drier all first quality. All the small touches were perfect: air freshener in each bathroom, toilette paper, tissues. Master bedroom facing garden with french doors to outside and great comfortable queen size bed. Very nice second floor bedroom with balconies and views to the mountains. Neighborhood is very nice, we took long walks everyday in different directions. One needs a car but a small good market 3 blocks away and 2 blocks for a great bakery. Ruth and her husband were very prompt to answer questions on the phone. We will go back without any hesitations

The backyard is an absolute dream. We spent every day and evening out there. It feels like a private resort/oasis in the middle of Pasadena. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Fantastic!! This is probably our best stay anywhere. The owners have thought of everything to make my trip easy. It was clean, easy to navigate and comfortable. There were instructions for everything. The outside was amazing and the pool was absolutely incredible! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the bathrooms were clean. There was stuff for kids - kids plates, bowls and utensils which was super helpful. Cons: the upstairs bedroom gets either very hot or very cold and has no shades on the windows. The shower in the bathroom with the tub has low water supply. The internet isn’t that great so if you’re expecting to be online while lounging by the pool, this isn’t the place for you. These cons weren’t enough for us to have a bad time and we would definitely stay here again!

We visited Pasadena to watch my son march for his band at The Tournament of Roses Parade. What a wonderful experience. The home was located close to the parade route (30-40) minute walk. We enjoyed eating at Millies Cafe, which was only a 10 minute walk from the home. There was a a wonderful grocery store, Stater Bros, only a 5 minute drive away. It was a quiet neighborhood, and yet very close to main hwy access. Ruth was wonderful! She answered all of my questions, and is even in the process of returning our passports (which we left at the home). I would highly recommend staying at this quaint lovely home! Thank you again Ruth!
