Our party of 6 (2 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents) could not have been more comfortable during our week at Greg and Leigh's home. We really enjoyed the layout, and the large living spaces provided plenty of room for everyone. It was so nice to have a fully stocked kitchen, which included many basic food items like spices and condiments (and more) as those types of items are such an inconvenience to have to buy for a short stay. The view from the front deck was truly amazing. However, we spent most of our time at the house in the back yard because of the pool and the outdoor living space. The kids couldn't wait to get into the pool each morning and night, even after a full day at the beach. They LOVED it. The neighborhood was extremely safe and quiet. We didn't hear people, dogs, or cars! Greg and Leigh were wonderful to work with, and immediately fixed an issue with the freezer, even though we told them we didn't need it to have it done during our stay. We couldn't have asked for anything more in a vacation home, and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Greg and Leigh. We hope to see you again.

Greg and Leigh were so very welcoming and interested in our comfort while at their home. The property is spacious and comfortable, the views lovely, near stores and restaurants but still private, our family truly enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and it all contributed to a wonderful reunion with our family. So glad we discovered this listing on VRBO!

Greg and Leigh were very accommodating and easy to work with. The house is in a nice neighborhood and close to everything in LaJolla, not far from SeaWorld and the Zoo!

We loved the house, property and Greg/ Leigh were fantastic from the moment we booked to arrival and departure. View was just out of this world. Hope to be back!

We were put on notice when we first arrived that we WERE NOT to use the large bathtub in the master because it "took too much water to fill". Since my spouse loves her daily baths... she was not pleased. That was just the tipoff. The master shower with dual heads... they were both clogged, so I had to use a small, one-piece shower in a guest room. The two sinks it the master bath were both clogged and flowed poorly. The kitchen stove was a relic and impossible to properly control temperatures. The pool leaked and we had the daily task of filling it... but NOT too full. The weather was damp and cold and when we heated the pool so our grandkids could use it... the owners complained about gas usage. Really... for over $10,000 we shouldn't have to worry about gas, or water usage (though we don't approve of being wasteful). We believe we paid a substantial cleaning fee, and we can say with all certainty that this home was NOT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED! In summary...; a very nice idea in a great location, but it all went downhill from there.

The home was spacious and roomy and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, the heated pool and hot tub were a big hit with our family. We enjoyed being at the house almost as much as the beach. We were very appreciative of the pool fence for safety for our 4 year Grandson

We came for my son’s wedding and the house was so well appointed.. a great house to unwind and relax after busy wedding days. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing and watching the Sea World fireworks from the balcony was an unexpected bonus. Kudos to Leigh and Greg!

First rate home-stay at this beautiful, spacious luxury home; gorgeous pool, hot tub and fully outfitted indoors and out. Good location and we loved the pool.

What a great house/neighborhood. To start, the outdoor area is amazing. Plenty of room for three kids to run around. The pool is great, it’s heated and plenty big. The house needs a few upgrades, but overall I can’t complain. From the kitchen/living room at 8:50 nightly you can see Sea World’s fireworks show which the kids loved. The house was plenty big for two families to spread out, and spotless upon entry. The hosts of the house were great, they responded to every question we had in a timely fashion, both families are already talking about returning very soon.

Owners were very nice and accommodating. Very nice house and property, it served our needs.

Great house in a conveniently located, nice, quiet neighborhood. 4 bedrooms allow plenty of room for a family ....outside grill, pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen and plenty of TV's! We enjoyed our week there and I would recommend this house. The owners are a pleasure to work with.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was great and the house having a hot tub and pool made it even better. Once we were able to get the temperature of the hot tub and pool correct, it was even more enjoyable. The weather was on the cooler side but it did not deter us from using the outdoor area. Having the electric heater on the patio was helpful for the days it was cooler. We will definitely be back!

Our family stayed in this wonderful home for a week. We had a great time - the pool and spa are clean, spacious and provided our children with hours of fun. The large house, deck, patio and yard gave us the space to spread out and enjoy each other or to find a nook for some solitude. I've already recommended this rental to a friend. Beautiful views and nice spaces. Given the pandemic, the main reasons we rented this house was a) to have a pool to swim in, + b) to have a safe pandemic staycation. Unfortunately, a number of things worked against us: The pool equipment is super-outdated such that the first 3 days the pool was way overheated (to 96 degrees). Then on 2 other days there was a dead bird in the pool in the morning. i.e. On 5 out of 8 of our days, the pool was practically unusable. Also, given the pandemic, I asked that we have a contact-less check-in. The owners (in their enthusiastic hospitality) did not honor my request and stuck around for 1+ hour giving us a "tour" and trying to explain all the house equipment (only sometimes wearing their masks). I recommend that they prepare a house booklet for reference so that future guests do not have to in-person interact. The property is definitely a "HOME" which means a) that it feels comfy, and b) that it feels like someone else's home (not a vacation-spot). Nonetheless, the owners were very kind and tried their best to make our stay comfortable. THANK YOU!!!

This was our first time traveling to La Jolla. We loved the wonderful beaches in the area and the home is located in a quiet neighborhood. We were blessed with beautiful coastal weather during our stay. The cooler weather was exactly what we were looking for to escape the triple digit heat where we live. It was nice to come back after a day at the beach and go swimming in the pool, relax in the spa, and enjoy dinner on the large back patio. We chose Leigh and Greg's home because of the pool & spa just incase the beaches were closed because of county shelter in place orders. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, we would have preferred a no contact check in. Leigh, the home owner, provided a tour of her home but due to current safety measures we would have preferred a binder with this information rather than personal contact. A thorough deep cleaning is recommended to improve the cleanliness and of the home.

We appreciated working with Leigh. She was very pleasant and showed us around the property and how to work things, house supplies were well stocked and we had plenty of room for a family of 6 to stretch out and take in the sights, enjoy the pool, and really get in some family time :)

Owner was very available for all questions. House was spacious and clean. Boogie boards were available to use which made our beach trip even more fun! Would definitely stay again

Want to start off my saying the owners are great folks,1st class citizens,the best. Now to the house, again, the best!! We were floored , the house was beautiful, the views were wonderful. My family truly enjoyed themselves and would be interested in renting again. The pool was immaculate my kids had a blast. Would recommend the home to everyone. 5 star home 5 star owners. To sum it up in 1 word BEST.

This house is the best rental we have ever had. The owners are extremely helpful, and answered all our questions regarding the house and the area. Leigh was super friendly and accommodating. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. Toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, hand soap, zip lock bags, Tupperware, we didn't need to buy any of that stuff. Other units we have rented would have like 1 days worth. The bed linens, beach towels, and towels were exceptional quality! The beds were all very comfortable! This house is just minutes from the beach. We really enjoyed the view off the front patio and sat out there every morning and night. The house had a fully stocked kitchen with everything you will need. They have boogie boards, umbrella, chairs, everything you need for the beach. I am giving this house a five star because it was everything we dreamed of. But I do feel I need to mention it does need a little updating. In no way did it affect our stay and it didn't bother us at all but it might bother some. This house was perfect for our family of 8.

This is a great location for vacation with a beautiful view over San Diego. The house has a lot of nice details, but it could have been maintained a bit better. However that is the only negative thing to say. Very nice and service minded hosts, very nice patio for barbecue and social events. Recommended as a vacation location.

Want to thank the owners for letting us stay at this lovely property. The location is perfect if you want to be central to everything in southern California. The views were amazing from this house as well. We would sit out and enjoy a beverage every evening watching the fireworks from Sea World. The pool was great and perfect for our little kids. They had a blast staying at this house and we look forward to possibly coming back in the future. The owners were very helpful and answered questions swiftly. The pictures honestly don't do the place justice. It really is a beautiful home.

What a beautiful neighborhood..... and the views were amazing. Walk ( 1 mile ) to a market for coffee and bagels or a little longer to the beach ( the beach is a few minutes away via car ). The house is very nice and open. Some of our group could be watching TV in one room while others were reading in the quiet living room. Pool was great too after a long day seeing the area. The house is a short ride into San Diego if you want to go to the city. We all had a great stay and the owners could not have been nicer. They waited for us to arrive from the airport to give us a walk through of their home and were very available via phone when we had initial questions. We would rent again here.
