We stayed here with our 2 adult children and had an incredible time! We were so close to town and the boat and the views from upstairs were gorgeous! We highly recommend!

So very thankful to Marian for letting us stay in this three-layer house (as my kids call it). It's just a short walk from the waters of Catalina. We had such a wonderful time! Everything you need to enjoy the wonderful island life and Marian is the best host you could ever ask for.

We had a fabulous time and the view from the 3rd floor of the home was beautiful. Not going to lie, at 66 hiking up the hill each day was challenging, but doable. That said the other adults and the kids had no problem! Ohhh to be young again!

This property is just a block up from the harbor and has 3 stories. The 3rd floor has a lovely view overlooking Avalon and the harbor. The home has all the essentials, but is a bit run down. Overall, a good experience and I would return to this property on future visits.

Property is in great location. The home could use a face-lift though. Beds and bathrooms be cleaner, only found one pan that did not have rust on it, bbq grill rusted, and several blinds were broken. The good- location is in heart of town, enough space for large group, nice view of town. For the price, I was expecting a nicer place to spend a vacation with the family but this seems like a house with old appliances and mattresses that were in someone's garage.

Renting was very easy and the owner was prompt with answers to any question. The house is just one block up from the town with shops and restaurants. Although it is on a hill, it is short walking distance and doable. Kitchen fully equipped/ view of ocean from 3rd floor.

The house is very clean, we’ll set up for any vacation home, very close to everything walking distance, even on the Golf cart routes in case you need to drop by before returning the cart, home owner is great at communicating, we strongly recommend this house to everyone

We really enjoyed this house—it was spread out enough that we all felt like we had some space (teenagers at the top floor). It was comfortable and in a nice, walkable location. We were there on a busy weekend, and the only slight negative was the noise from golf carts (must be a main touring street?). But we couldn’t hear them with the windows shut. Overall, good value and enjoyable!

We loved this stay with it's beautiful views of Avalon Bay and the Wrigley house. It was very comfortable and we even were surprised to find two fold-out couches in the living room area. Thank you for answering all of our questions, easy checkin and great communications.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family and it worked out quite well. Ample space for our party of 8 to sleep and a great kitchen for cooking a feast and dining together. There is some wear and tear but overall the property was comfortable and enjoyable. We had great views of the harbor and mountains while watching football games in the third floor living room. We’d definitely come back!

Good: the host is very sweet and communicated several times before we arrived. Check in was easy, location great, beautiful view of the harbor from top floor where we enjoyed our morning coffee. Not so good: dishwasher flooded, no fans - dining and upstairs get very hot, many things need repair in this home, pillows uncomfortable and worn out. Overall, you get a great bargain for how many this place accommodates. I am sure host will provide new pillows and fans so I’d recommend staying here. We played hours of games at the perfect for 6 dining table.

Good location, nice accommodations.

I was very pleased with the property. There is plenty of room and the views are great. The separation of the bedrooms is nice since you hardly hear someone in another bedroom. The amenities such as the patio, BBQ (which we did not use), well stocked kitchen and comfy furniture were a definite plus. If I had to complain I would suggest a fresh coat of paint in the interior and some minor detailing inside.

Spent two nights here in Sept 2021....it was clean and exactly as advertised. A little worn, but clean and everything worked. Great location and nice view. Only disappointment was that house had pretty much nothing but plastic tumblers and kiddy cups....and especially no wine glasses. (It did have 15 coffeee mugs, but no wine glassses.) We expected a VRBO vacation house to have wine glasses. Only other disappointment was no soap or toiletries of any kind in the showers. All sinks had hand soap, but we expected an expensive house to have at least a tiny bar of hotel soap in the showers. Overall as very good though. Owner was easy to communicate with in preparing for the trip. Just go buy some cheap wine glasses and 20 cent bars of soap! :-)

Read reviews about it being too far up the hill, but it's really a gorgeous and short walk to the restaurants and beach. Overall a great place and would love to stay there again!

Our stay was a dream. The house is beautiful, much better than even pictured. My family of 4 (with 2 small kids) and I stayed for 4 nights and it was a great little vacation. The house was clean and the ocean breeze felt so nice. The breeze is almost 24/7. There are 3 floors and the 3rd has probably one of the best views on the island with 2 very large windows. The house is in a great location: close enough to downtown with a couple of great restaurants at the bottom of the street, but far enough away that you don’t hear all the drunkos all night. Also close to Descanso. The windows keep out most of the sound and smell of golf carts. It does get a little warm at night with the windows closed though. But opening them means golf cart noise and smell. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. Beds are comfortable and it sleeps many people.The owner is nice, responsive, and accommodating. So is the property manager.Very small nitpick, this is definitely not a dealbreaker: We only wanted central air conditioning maybe a couple of hours out of the whole trip: at night and a couple days in the early afternoon before the marine layer came in. I’d say once it gets over 80 AC is definitely needed.All in all it was a perfect trip. We will definitely be back if they let us!

3 year staying at this property and we still love it! We love the 3 levels of the house and how it make the house feels so spacious. The adults love to hang out in the kitchen while the kids hang out upstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place itself was a good size and well equipped, great views of the harbor from the top floor living room. The location is great in that it is within a quick walk to everything and the harbor, 10 min walk from the Catalina express. The one note of caution is you have to walk up about a block on a steep hill. This can be challenging for some who are less mobile.

Location was perfect

Our trip started off rockie as upon getting to the dock and clicking on the address in the link it sent me to 115 Marilla and not 155 Marilla upon getting to 115 Marilla as that is what the map showed my husband and I were rudely accosted by some guy who wouldn't help us but wanted to fight my husband. So we walked up the hill with our luggage to find the house I saw so many times on Google maps. Upon getting to the house is is a little old but nice and quaint. The bottom floor has a bathroom attached to the bedroom, the second floor has the kitchen and a bedroom and bathroom but no living space, this was kinda tough for my family as we do a lot of outer laughing and relaxing near the kitchen. The living room is on the top floor which has a beautiful view of the ocean. It was hot while we were there so we tried to keep the windows open but apparently Marilla is a main thorough fair to other parts of the island. There was traffic all up and down from 6 am to midnight. The tour trucks travel that street so it was loud. When we got there we had to wash all the dishes as they were dirty from whoever was there before as the maid doesn't do dishes. We actually ended up getting paper plates and just washed the cups. All that being said it was nice for most part and the upstairs view made it with while. With all we learned we would stay here again.

We felt like one of the locals!! Everything was perfect, except for the dishwasher not working and golf cart at house we were not permitted to use, which we needed desperately with our large group and trying to get groceries to the house.

We enjoyed the stay it is very spacious and close to downtown. My kids enjoyed the stay in the house plenty of room to stretch after a long walk and swim at the beach. Will definitely stay there again when we go back.

The living room view of the beach was nice. I would recommend this property to friends.

My friends and I came to Catalina to celebrate my birthday and had so much fun. The house was nice and spacious and was very reasonably priced. The owner was very accommodating with my requests and we felt very comfortably staying here. Overall, it was a great trip!

Yes it is on a hill, but that is why you have the nice harbor view from the third floor family room. Proximity to everything, including Vons for those who are lucky enough for a longer stay. Three floors provides great space for everybody to spread out or be together. Recommend using a taxi from ferry to the house if you have luggage (anything more than a backpack). Owner was very helpful throughout the entire process.

The house was absolutely amazing it was very comfortable and plenty of room for my family .. beautiful view of the harbor . i would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back. ♥️

My friends and I loved this property, it was close to everything in town and big enough so that we weren't on top of each other the whole time. Marian was wonderful to work with, very communicative and flexible when weather was potentially upending our trip. I'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this home, getting ahold of the property manager was so easy and she replied quickly, checking in was very easy as well, the third floor has a really nice view to the beach, we booked our stay for mid October 2020 the weather was perfect! We will definitely be visiting in this home again
