The cabin is in a perfect location, very clean and the host are always available for questions. My husband appreciated how close the landing was to the cabin and I liked the dock / sandy bottom lake shore. We will definitely be back.

There was plenty of room inside the cottage and outside. We had a total of 6 people residing at the cottage. Our teen daughters had the opportunity to use the bunkhouse, offering a vacation within a vacation. The cottage was very clean and offered all the things we needed, from extra blankets, pots/pans, games, and basic utensils for even the simplest need. We especially enjoyed the ample lakefront with chairs to view the lakeside sunset and ample dock space. We sat for hours watching nature at it’s finest to fishing and catching a few fish (and crawdads).

Property is exactly as claimed. Jerry will go out of his way to make sure you feel welcome and will help you with places to fish. Great guy!

Enjoyed the property and comforts.

We had a great time at Jerry's cottage. The property is a quintessential lake cottage with a beautiful view of Frazer Bay, which is centrally located on Lake Vermilion. Jerry was so helpful, offering tips on the best lunch spots, how to navigate the lake, etc. It was a great place to stay!

Fantastic property! So much room and everything we needed for a week away from the hustle and bustle. Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are very comfortable, and the house is big enough to spread out (and that was nice for a family of five adults). Jerry, the property owner is great and went above and beyond to make the week great!

We stayed for 9 days at this lovely property. We are a family of 4 & we have taken a lot of fishing trips over the years. This is out 3rd time to Vermilion. This property is perfection. The home itself is spotlessly clean, lovely northern decor, new beds, comfortable seating.....The hosts have supplied more then enough linens & towels for a family, kitchen is fully stocked, soaps, detergents, paper towels. They have thought of everything. Fantastic wifi. Ceiling fans for those hot days & baseboard heating for the cool nights.The dock is new. We had no problems tying up our 21" bass boat. The yard is huge & we enjoyed playing the yard games supplied. A lot of folks complain about poor fishing at Vermilion. We always do really well, but we fish for bass. A #4 or #5 Mepps thrown at the shoreline pulls in plenty of northern, smallmouth & walleye. I can't comment on the musky fishing. We had a wonderful time & we hope to return again. Jerry and Lori have a great cottage right by the water and were always available for anything that may come up. The house was exactly as described. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet place right on the water with easy access to the entire lake.

Amazing week spent with family!

Jerry is a wonderful host, this cottage is perfect for any family get away. The cottage is very comfortable and the grounds are spacious. Our stay here was incredible, highly recommend to all who wish to enjoy Lake Vermilion!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it was everything as described. We would however, would have liked to known that filtered lake water was used at the home and spring water provided for drinking. I have a health situation, with suppressed immune system, where it could have made a difference. Overall our experience was wonderful.

The Owner, Jerry Allen and his wife are superb hosts. The property fit our needs to a T. Two grandchildren, 3 and 4 had a terrific time swimming and catching crawdads. The main hose and the bunk room were very nice. The grounds were in terrific condition. Plenty of table space inside and outside. The dock is new and well designed to handle your boat. The boat house accommodated my 18'6" Lund Alaskan. We'll go back!

Jerry and Lori are great hosts. The house is stocked like one that someone actually lives in...not just a rental property. Jerry will hook you up with anything else that you require. The property is actually even better than the pictures. We had plenty of space for our party of 8. There is no A/C and we had the hottest days in the summer (mid 80's) but the cabin stayed relatively cool as it's shaded by the trees. There are a few ceiling fans and other floor fans available. Also, nights cooled things down nicely. Now only if the fish would've been biting... :-)

This was everything they said it was. Great location on the lake and a great place to stay.

Jerry welcomed us and made us very comfortable with the beautiful location we rented on Lake Vermilion. Spent a few nights in early October to fish and the location on the lake was wonderful (very central and a beautiful point with great views). Cottage was charming and very comfortable for our group. Look forward to making it back next year.

I have been fortunate enough to stay and fish lake vermilion multiple times over the past 20 years. Previously we have stayed at resorts. However this is setup very well for the do it yourself individuals. The public boat ramp is extremely close just around the corner. There are two marinas to chose from to stop and get fuel on the water, one pay at the pump 24/7. Easy docking space away from the main lake for your boat. The cabin is very clean and extremely well stocked with pots and pans and such. Beds are cozy w plenty of additional bedding. Nice gas fire place to take the chill of that is operated simply by a thermostat. The nicest thing is that this is very sucluded. You don't have multiple boats and other cabins around. For the a nice private quiet up north get away on an area of the lake with great fishing look no further.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay. From fishing, camp fires and beautiful sunsets it was a wonderful time for our family. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and the sauna was a wonderful escape at the end of a long day.

We had a great time at the cottage! We had plenty of room for our group of nine. The property far exceeded our expectations, from the cottage to the bunkhouse, the boathouse, the sauna with an outdoor shower enclosed, the firepit and the garage with bikes, lifejackets, yard games, anything you might possibly need. Jerry provided us with drinking water, a gas burner for our fish fry, even a boat motor when we had problems with ours! We found several great places to fish on the beautiful Lake Vermillion. We would highly recommend The Cottage for a family vacation!!

We enjoyed staying at the cottage. Weather was cool and rainy so we spent more time indoors than we planned but still had a great time. The wood burning stove was great to come home to after a cold day on the boat. The kitchen is very well stocked and the cottage has anything you would ever want or need. Everything was also very clean. It's like going home to Grandma's house and I mean that in a good way. We were lucky enough to see a black bear run across the highway one day when we went into town so that was an added bonus. This place is everything it is advertised to be and Jerry was great to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottage has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked. There are lots of places to find a private spot to relax. The Adirondack chairs by the lake are memorable. The view of the lake is the best. Being on the lake is even better. The hosts are so lovely and supportive, we would want to live next door to them. This is a great place!!

The property and hosts were lovely and charming! It was a group of 7 and we had more than enough space, and there were tons of activities - fishing, canoeing, badminton, grilling, bonfire, boardgames - we had a blast and would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Jerry!
