The Moose Lantern is top notch! The cabin is beautiful, had all amenities you could need and Tiffany is a wonderful host! We are already looking forward to our next stay!

We had an awesome time at this VRBO!! This was my first experience doing a VRBO and it went excellent. House was perfect for our family and friends fishing trip!! Very clean and had everything we needed.

The Moose Lantern was the perfect place for our summer vacation. This home was clean, well stocked and fit 8 people easily. I had a couple questions about boat rentals, arriving early and general questions about the area and received accurate and fast responses from the owner. I would highly recommend this property and will rent again next time we are in the area.

We loved everything about our stay! The layout and decorations in the house worked great for our family of 8 - grandparents, parents, aunt and three siblings. We also had 2 labs with us. Rented a pontoon boat from Timbuktu - easy access off the pier - we sometimes drove and sometimes walked to the pier. Took a day trip to Ely - American Bear Center and lunch at the Ely Steakhouse. Walked the nature trail at Semer's Beach and enjoyed the shops downtown. Campfire and smores each night and caught lots of bluegill, perch, small mouth bass and a 30 inch northern pike off the pier!! Highly recommend the Moose Lantern!!

The cabin was just as advertised, Tiffany was great to work with and we enjoyed every part of the experience!

The place is spacious for folks to play boardgames, draft MTG, karaoke, cook food, watch movies, and sleep.

Tiffany was very helpful answering our questions and was communicative during a brief power outage during a thunderstorm. The property was sparkling clean and very well stocked with firewood, games, dishes, linens, etc. The location was very peaceful and private as well. Would recommend staying!

Lots of room for trailers and vehicles we had 3 enclosed 4 place trailers and had no problem getting around, cabin is clean and exactly as described!

If a cabin was built specifically for snowmobilers this is it. Walking in from the main floor is an area that is designed to hang enough gear for 10 riders with a heating unit that dries it all out over night. It is also big enough to hang out and talk about the day. Then you go upstairs to a wide open room with a GREAT high top counter area, dining room and couch area. It is well appointed and very comfortable!!! The main trail is 5 minutes from the cabin. Tiffany, the owner is very responsive. I highly recommend this cabin and I look forward to the next time.

We had a fantastic time at Moose Lantern! With a great view and access to Lake Vermillion. We came up to celebrate my sons 17th birthday and go snowmobiling. Huge driveway made it easy to park trucks and trailers. It was snowing when we checked out so the covered deck above made it easy to pull up and load/unload our belongings. Gorgeous kitchen with all the things you need to cook for a group of 6. Each room was well appointed and came with ceiling fans as well as white noise fans. Great fireplace upstairs and a drying fireplace downstairs for hats, mittens etc.. We took advantage of the fire pit outside and had snowball fights and just had fun. Great home with detail for snowmobilers. You walk into lower level from your sleds and the room is made for hanging/drying your gear. Plenty of beds for 8-10 guests. The upstairs is spacious with a great view of Lake Vermillion. Parking is great for several pickups and trailers.

This place was beautiful and was very neat and tidy. The view was amazing and nestled back in the woods for awesome privacy. The couple that own it was awesome to work with. We had to leave 1 day early because of inclement weather South and they refunded us a night.

We had a great time here! Huge property in the woods with views of the lake. We went snowshoeing and dog sledding in nearby Ely. Very dog friendly.

My husband and I very last minute booked this property for our first wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! We wanted a very lowkey and chill experience and The Moose Lantern was everything we needed and more. Not only was it the coziest, cleanest and most comfortable rental property that we’ve ever stayed at (and there have been a lot!), but Tiffany was also the best host that we have ever dealt with. She even left us some chocolates and a small bottle of wine to help us celebrate our anniversary. ❤️ We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Our group of 2 teams that were participating in the MN SATT tournament of champions quite comfortable in the nice home. After a season of hotel rooms the was a pleasant stay. Home was well equipped for us and very clean. Super comfortable sleeping accommodations. As well as room for our 3 boats. Our host Tiffany was fantastic answering questions and very prompt. Very pleased with our stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this home at Lake Vermilion, MN, and we will be back. But allow me to delve deeper into the wonders of this place. Let me start with Tiffany. You could not ask for a finer host. She helped answer all of our questions and concerns prior to setting a foot in Minnesota. Once there, she offered to provide help for any issues that we may have, but we did not have to contact her once during our 6-day trip. There is a handy book providing useful information for all of the things to do and see and where to go for your various needs whether fishing or exploring the Lake Vermilion area. When you do not have to contact the host once during your entire stay, that is a flawless trip, which merits how well Tiffany had the home and everything else set up. The home is a beautiful place that has all of the trimmings that you could ask for. There were 5 adults and 5 kids under 12 on our trip and there was ample space for everyone to get together and congregate as well as find a nook to be able to isolate from the madness (I mentioned we had 5 kids under the age of 12). The bedrooms were well laid out and they had a pack and go crib that was perfect for our littlest one. The beds were adequate, but adding memory foam toppers would be a good addition down the road. You could just sink into the living room furniture and melt away watching the television which had great internet connection for all of your favorite apps. There was plenty of space to eat and every dish you could imagine. We utilized all three cooking locations: the stove/oven, the grill outside and then the fabulous fire pit which we spent many a night just sitting out under the stars making smores or roasted marshmellos sandwhiched between tow halves of a strawberry, quite delicious. The seclusion was fabulous, at this place you are off by yourself and nobody is near you. Now, the property is off the lake, but there is a easily accessible boardwalk that is about a 3/4 mile walk to a private dock. At first this is somewhat cumbersome, but it actually became fairly fluid by the end of the trip. There is a place along the side of the road to park a vehicle, though it would be nice if this spot was a little more level and obvious, and you can unload your fishing gear and cooler for the the day, walk it across the road to the wagon at the end of the boardwalk and a short jaunt to the dock. The fishing was rough, but everything else about our trip was great.

Just loved our stay in such a beautiful home! Completely private location and scenic views! This home has everything you need, right down to shampoo! The huge kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals. We loved the large dining table with amazing views while enjoying our meals. The huge breakfast bar was handy for our sushi night! Lots of things to do within reasonable distance. Went to ely to visit museums and up to international falls to do some trinket shopping. Unfortunately, or fortunately it rained almost every day. Thus home makes being stuck indoors a treat! This was supposed to be a trip focused on fishing, but winds and weather hindered that plan. The pier was long with plenty of room for our boat. Indian bay is pretty weedy. Good fishing across the bay for walleye and perch. The distance from cabin door to dock is a bit of a trek we brought our ATV to make it a quick trip! Once to the board walk they have a rugged wagon to load gear and wheel down to the dock. The board walk is well lit and boards are close together making walking it easy. Several close boat launches we used the marina right at the end of the road. Once on the lake it's easy to navigate with a good map. However everything you need is right there near Indian bay! Polly's offer a bar and bait. Live bait also available right across from you dock. Forget the name, can't miss it! Little beach area, snacks, souvenirs and of course bait! Hopefully our next trip we will have better weather, there is so much to do "on lake"! This home is by far one of our favorites! Can't wait to come back!! Thank you Tiffany for all the spot on correspondence, fast and helpful! Check in could not have been easier!!

The property was easy to find and we loved the privacy and spaciousness of the property, and the beautiful view! The house was clean, comfortable, well appointed with appliances, kitchen wares, sheets and towels. Tiffany was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We would recommend this house, and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Nice cabin, well cleaned, nice and open space to have a good sized crew stay at. Wish it was a little closer to the lake, but not a big deal at all! Good spot for what we were looking for!

Great place to stay! There were no neighbors and was tucked back in the woods not to far from the main road. I slept wonderful being it was so quiet.. Kitchen was very well stocked! I was pleased to see an outside grill. (It wasn't listed when I booked) Plenty of room in driveway to swing the boat around. (The fishing stunk)

We rented this home for a family fishing trip and it was perfect!! Beautiful clean home with plenty of room; all the appliances you could need, and beautiful location! We loved it!!!

I have been in the real estate industry as my career for 22 years now, including staying at several vacation rental properties over the years. As a host Tiffany was by far the most attentive host on a property I have ever had. I asked her several questions before booking and she was prompt. Several questions before our stay, and even during our stay she checked in to make sure everything was going satisfactorily. Thanks Tiffany!! As far as the property...this place was absolutely excellent. Our group arrived in shifts, and everytime a new member of the group would arrive, they were amazed at how great this property was. The set-up is excellent. You can tell the hosts put in a lot of extra care and special attention that other hosts may have missed...my only concern with leaving this review is that when I go to book this property again it will be unavailable because I told everyone how awesome the property and the hosts were!
