The house was comfortable. Having the boats was great. The owners were super attentive to any problem. Lovely area. Only problem was with the grill which had problems in starting

We enjoyed a very relaxing getaway as a group of 3 generations. There was so much room for all of us and everything you could want or need: kitchen fully equipped, laundry, A/C and fans, games, movies, fishing right off the dock, kayaks, canoe, rowboat and life vests. Beautiful setting with park right across the lake. Screened in porch with large porch swing is heavenly! Owner is very responsive and wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed Hancock Shaker Village, Mass MoCa, Berkshire Cider Project, and Mt. Greylock, among many other things close by.

We really enjoy the house, the location, the lake (!), and exploring northwestern Massachusetts.

The property sits on a very narrow small mini lake well stocked with fish. It is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This is a pretty home with a lovely view of the lake. It is close to many wonderful Berkshire experiences and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Terri and Jay were excellent hosts; welcoming and responsive to any questions we had.

The home was well equipped and included boats and a well stocked kitchen. The park across the lake was noisy and lots of people were boating and fishing on a relatively small lake.

Great house on the perfect lake for us: sandy beach across the water, dock with canoe, rowboat and kayaks, three playgrounds once on the other side of the lake, big deck, screen porch with swing. Everyone is happy.

We felt right at home at the cottage, went out on the water every day, and made use of all the local parks and trails we could manage. The porchswing and hammock were our particular favorites, but we also watched a few movies (once we taught the kids how to be careful with the VHS tapes!). A wonderful summer week, we look forward to doing it again!

This is a cute 3-bedroom house on a pretty lake not far from terrific hiking and excellent art museums. The bald eagles that fly back and forth across the lake are an added attraction! Terri is super responsive: we had trouble getting online our first night and texted Terri for help. She said "sit tight I'll be right over." (The internet btw does kick out occasionally; we were always able to get right back in. I think it's the service company's fault as the signal in the house is very strong.) There aren't many private houses on the lake but there's a large town recreation area on the other side of the lake, with camping behind that, so there is definitely some activity. No power boats though! We were new to the northern side of the Berkshires but liked it there a lot and plan to return.

This was our second time staying at Windsor Cottage and it was a wonderful week. The house is clean and stayed cool with the AC during the heat wave. We enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing on the lake. The sights and sounds are beautiful. The house is just a short drive from many activities around Berkshire county so when we weren’t on the lake, we were off to Lenox, Stockbridge, and Bennington, VT. The hosts communicate well about anything you may want or need to know. Thanks for another great week!

This home was just a lovely place to stay. It has a welcoming quality and is decorated with many oil paintings that reflect both the location of the home as well as other aspects of nature. The view of the lake from the upper deck is captivating and entrancing. I woud definitely recommend it.

The location of this lake cottage can't be beat. Our kids loved playing in the lake, there is a park nearby, the summer concert series on Wednesday nights was a nice bonus. We hiked from the house on the lovely trails right around the lake and really enjoyed the views of the hills and the lake from our cottage windows. The hosts were really responsive and helpful and we really appreciated their hospitality. The game room on the lower level has the potential to be amazing. We adults headed down there most nights to play some card and darts. The owners have given it a relaxed, beachy decor and feel. We purchased some new dart tips for future guest to enjoy! We did find it hard to be there a week with 8 people and no washer or dryer. A dryer would be a great addition as we had wet kids swim gear that didn't dry well in summer humidity. And travelling from out of state and needing to provide sheets and towels was a challenge as well. We forgot hand towels for the kitchen and had to use a bath towel we had brought for one of the kids. Despite these few things all of us enjoyed our time in North Adams immensely and would gladly stay here again.

From the first communication to locking up when we left, this was an awesome stay! Clean, comfortable, well appointed home. Comfy beds…and porch swing bed to die for! Relaxing setting! The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay easy, fun, comfortable and peaceful! Great communication from the hosts and extra help for the tech challenged! Enjoyed the water craft, great swimming, easy walks in every direction! The home is air conditioned but the way the air flows through the home we never needed it! We’ll be back for sure! Thanks for a great stay!

The Windsor Cottage really has it all! Boats, games, movies, firepit, porches upstairs and down...we were there for 4 days and still didn't feel like we had time to enjoy it all. The house is immaculately clean and the communication was perfect - timely and clear without being too much. The fishing was great as well!

Really great property: clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and cozy & comfortable spots to relax and enjoy the view. It's in a nice location on the water and in the mountains and so near a picturesque and vibrant town a well. I would definitely plan another visit!

We enjoyed our stay and the morning fog on the lake and the light in the morning coming over the mountains. We picked a perfect time, mid-October, to be there for the leaves. We enjoyed the house especially the master bedroom views of the lake and mountains. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the living and dining areas large for a group, though we were only a couple. It's a little awkward for bathrooms as shower is downstairs (but I kept clothes in master upstairs) but nothing major. I wasn't enthralled with the restaurants in North Adams but Williamstown offers more and it's close by. We did day trips from the house (one day to Vermont, two days to Lenox and Stockbridge, and of course time at The Clark and the MoCA museums). The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with and I'd recommend this property if going to the Berkshires though staying around Lenox/Stockbridge would also be nice. Enjoy!

We had a fabulous time at Windsor Cottage! We enjoyed the lake and the cottage so much! Everything you could ask for both inside and out! We will definitely be going back!

We love this house and lake! The lake is big enough for fishing, but small enough for my 13yo grandson to swim across. The beach is never crowded. There are picnic tables and 3 playgrounds on the beach side. The young set is thrilled. Terri is so responsive to any questions. Hope to be back for years!

We loved this lake cottage! It was perfect for our family of six with room to gather and room to spread out. We had a great time with paddle boards and kayaks on the lake, and enjoyed the ping-pong table as well. The location at the end of a small cul-de-sac is peaceful and quiet, and the happy noises from the public park across the lake never bothered us. This combination of peaceful retreat with easy access to towns and museums is really special.

The Windsor cottage was the perfect getaway! Very clean and spacious. Large enough for our 2 families. The kitchen has everything you need. Close to so many things! The kids enjoyed all aspects of the lake…kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, catching turtles. The adults enjoyed morning coffee on the deck while watching the Eagle and the evenings either playing board games, looking at stars, or relaxing on the deck. Terri was very helpful and quick to reply. We will be definitely be back!

Comfortable and cozy decorated with beautiful paintings and pictures. We enjoyed it all-ping pong, VHS movies, porch swing, deck view, swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing! So much to do in the area-Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, Mt. Greylock, Jiminy Peak, Busby Hiking Trail and walk downtown! Not enough time to do more! Terri is a wonderful host- quick to respond and offers great suggestions of things to do.

I can't say enough good things about this property. The house was perfect, and the location was even better. Our kids spent so much time fishing on the lake and swimming at the beach across the lake.

Enjoyed the lake/pond. Some may prefer not be across from a public park which makes things a bit louder, but we enjoyed hearing the kids laugh and play. Would have preferred not having to provide our own sheets and towels, etc., and kitchen towels would have been appreciated. Haven't had to provide such at other VRBO properties. Thanks.

We stayed for 5 nights. The house was beautiful, the screened porch and upper deck was awesome and had plenty of porch/deck furniture for everyone. Boat/canoe/kayaks to use with plenty of life jackets. Was a little too hot/humid one night in which A/C would have been welcome. Other than that, beautiful quiet place.

Windsor Cottage was an amazing place to stay. We arrived just after the foliage peak when it was starting to get cold and rainy. Still, we had wonderful hikes by day, and warm, cozy evenings in the cottage. It was a marvelous change of scenery for city folk like us. We are already planning our next visit.

The house was great. It was clean, updated enough, and on a beautiful quiet lake. The owner provided a lot of things to use like a row boat, kayak, lots of different movies on VHS and DVD, toiletries if we forgot anything, hand sanitizer, etc. It allowed us to enjoy the house and area more without having to think too much about how to entertain ourselves or having 100 rules to follow. It was in a nice quiet area but also close enough to town if you wanted to buy stuff. I would recommend to anyone who would want to stay in the area.

It was beautiful, both inside and out! Lots of cozy spaces to watch the colorful leaves fall, and lots of hiking, art, and activities to do in the area. Sunset kayaking and birding were a plus! The downstairs porch swing was a family favorite. Everything you need for a glorious getaway!
