This property is in a terrific location and offers a lot of space in beautiful Taos, NM. We highly recommend staying here.

Gorgeous rural home that is decorated with beautiful Taos art and indigenous cultures theme. Our family member’s painting was part of the extensive art work hung throughout the home, which was a wonderful surprise for us all ( including family member-Brian). The home location felt private even though in a neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware for our family gathering to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The outdoor Gazebo and grounds were lovely. The early Spring cooler temperatures did not allow us to sit out on the multiple porches, but we imagined them to be fabulous during the warmer months. We hope to return!

Great for hitting the slopes or exploring town. Plenty of room for my family of 5 including 3 teens

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spend 4 out of 6 days dealing with the property. Upon arrival (sun), received a text from our friends to buy bug spray before we got to property. It had been nice so we assumed someone left the windows open (more about that later). First night took a shower and upstairs shower was clogged. We removed the drain cover and it was completely disgusting! (We have photos). We had to clean the in order to utilize the shower. Notified caretaker. Spent a lot of time killing flies. Tuesday friends say their shower no cold water/faucet not working, notified caretaker. We had to wait for the Plumber arrive next day. didn't fix, just got it so not scalding. Thursday we were infested with flies (no we did not have doors or windows open), They were in our hair, in our bed, HUNDREDS of them, not a few! We have photos. We were told "yes we know its a problem" (well then why was it not taken care of before we came? We know the property was vacant before our arrival). You had to wear shoes the entire time (even to the shower - after of course you cleaned the dead flies out of the shower). It was sickening! Again we notified the all this not once were we offered and refund (caretaker was in communication with the home owner). It completely wrecked our vacation. Stay away from this property! Its a huge rip-off. On top of all the above, everything is warn down, while beds were comfortable, pillows were a million years old, bedding old and pilling....just not worth over $400 a night!

It was obviously designed by artists with colors and design touches that are amazing. We are a family of foodies and we just loved the kitchen. It’s huge, has a super cool old gas fired Wolf stove. Six burners, two ovens and, my favorite, a huge built in griddle. We spent most of our time in this wonderful space. Two big decks , a great hot tub and a patio just off the kitchen with an outdoor fireplace (I believe referred to as a Kiva) were all greatly appreciated additions. We had pre-dinner cocktails around the Kiva each evening, so fun! I happily rated this house at 5stars, but would rate it higher if I could.

The house was beautiful and we felt cozy and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The location was also close enough to "downtown" Taos. The host was quick to respond to our questions. Inquire as to what outdoor furniture will be available as we found out seasonally what is shown in the photos is not available for guests. It was disappointing to not know that at the time of booking. The location to Taos is great, very easy drive into town.

One distracting issue were the number of flies...yes, the upstairs master suite. They buzzed around all day and night and would occasionally light on you at night, a startling wake-up Alfred Hitchcock style. We departed a night early because of that and informed the manager. All we heard back was another of the insect species...CRICKETS!

This house was perfect for our two family visit to Taos. Close to town but felt like country, beautiful outside space and fully equipped house made our stay one we will want to repeat. We have stayed at many VRBO Properties and this is one of the best. The decor is beautiful and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 teens. I personally was very impressed and grateful for how well the host stock the house. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry. Great stay and host!

The beautiful furnishings and the southwestern decor are so authentic to the area. The location was close to town and the neighbors were really friendly. The caretaker was kind to receive a Xmas tree via Amazon & set it up for us. Outdoor space is 5stars, even in winter. Lots of cups,plates&flatware. W&D good. Going to be 100% here: the prof range is fun to cook on but there’s always a smell of propane in the house; I expected high end kitchen tools, etc. because the kitchen is touted in the description but that was disappointing-I brought my own knives & glad I did. We had to wash a lot of whatever we used because it was grimy. D/W wasn’t cleaning dishes so we had to clean out the gross part at the bottom. Everything was hodge-podge. Some things so old w/teflon coating from the 70’s-which no one should have around anymore. The “hospitality room”- the wine & Bev fridges were unplugged w/notes inside “UNPLUGGED”. Maybe they just have those in summer. The furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable-that was a bummer. There were 6 of us & no place to just comfortably hang out. We spent 90% of our time at the kitchen table. We had to clean the wood stove ourselves-gobs of paper someone had jammed in there prevented fires from burning. A mess. Hot tub-had to add water-gross stuff was all around the jets. The internet is pretty bad so be warned. It’s DSL & works in the kitchen area only. I have more but I think that’s enough. This house is located on the outskirts of town, but not too far away from town. It is very quiet and peaceful at this location. There is a huge yard that everyone Enjoyed with a game of soccer! There is a field next door with cows/ baby cows and a very pretty horse. The kitchen is amazing, perfect for making a big breakfast with the griddle! Temperature was perfect in the house all day and night. We will definitely plan a return trip!
