A lovely cottage with all you could need. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Really good to have a pub at the end of the road, and a good fram shop just down the lane.

The fresh eggs and milk was most welcome. The nice touch of biscuits and a box of chocolates were a real surprise to have later with a hot cup off tea.

I can't think of anything not to like.

This is a lovely terraced cottage that has bags of character. Having a parking space is such a bonus, especially if you know what Holmfirth can be like (lots of cars, not enough spaces). We found the house to be absolutely immaculate and it was a real pleasure to use the wood burner in the living room. Kitchen space was great and allowed us, a family of four, to sit down together and eat our meals face to face which made for a very sociable space.

There was very little that I could honestly say that we did not like. In fact we liked everything about this cottage and want to return, however just to be exceptionally picky, and this is in my view, is very minor, would be having a dishwasher and this is because I am simply used to flinging everything in to the machine and have developed lazy habits! Like I said, this is very minor and not a deal breaker. Excellent, charming cottage which is a credit to the hosts.

The cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Located in a lovely village with great pub 2 minutes walk from the cottage. We felt really welcomed and relaxed. It’s a great base to explore Peak District
