Allowing dogs and having a great room, even with dogs. It was so warm and cozy. Breakfast was brilliant and so tasty.

We didn’t realise they didn’t serve food on a Monday evening, but they allowed us to have a delivery and provided plates etc. lovely stay, really welcoming and great service thank you.

Renovated and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. Immaculate throughout. Very comfy bed, wonderful shower. We very much liked the cakes that were left in our room upon arrival. All the staff couldn't have been more friendly. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the evening in the restaurant, top quality food. Would definitely recommend

If I had to be really picky, then the only negative things I could comment on is the hot water is quite scolding hot and the toilet seat wasn't fitted very well

Location. We travelled to the area for one night to visit the local vineyard. Didn’t seem like there was much else In the vicinity.

We stopped in the Peacock Suite. The style and quality of decorating was exceptional. Bedding very high quality. Log burner for use in the winter Quality of bacon and sausage for breakfast was good Plenty of free parking

We booked thinking it was within walking distance to Holmfirth, which it was not. The local bus stops just outside, thank goodness The check in time is late at 4pm and the check out time is early at 10am. With 6 hours to clean 7 rooms I am unsure as to why they felt the need to pressurise us in leaving spot on time. We were asked for our keys both by reception and the cleaners and we had only just finished breakfast Breakfast was only what was on the menu. The was no fruit juice, cereal, pastries etc. we were not offered any top up to our tea or coffee. At £195 per room we found this very poor I asked for scrambled eggs with my full English but received poached eggs tasting of vinegar and when you advise yourself as a gastro pub you would at least ensure the eggs were cooked properly 🤷‍♀️

The quality of the accommodation is very good. Breakfast was really nice. Location, 30 min walk into Holmfirth. Great base if you want to walk the local area.

Absolutely stunning little restaurant/ pub with beautiful rooms. The room was perfect, clean and really comfy. The good was delicious both evening meal and breakfast and the staff was lovely too.

The breakfast choices were excellent. Breakfast was leisurely, the food was fresh and perfectly prepared. The portions were plentiful...very plentiful. Eggs were cooked perfectly! Coffee was very good and staff were amazing, helpful in every way without hovering. They friendly and attentive and took very good care of us.

We stayed in the Grouse room and it was perfect. Very clean, spacious and loved the roll too bath. Staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

Really noisy loo and bathroom . Maybe a compactor type drainage system. Maybe the only type of system they could use . Worried about waking other guests when using bathroom. Otherwise really nice stay
