House was great for our group of 12, which included a wheelchair. Everyone had a mattress to sleep on & there were plenty of towels, blankets & pillows. Kitchen was also well stocked with lots of plates, cups & cookware. Hot tub was a huge hit with our crew! And the 5 min walk to beach was amazing! Also appreciated use of washer & dryer. As mentioned in another review, bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair, but they aren't advertising as handicap accessible, so we weren't expecting it to be. But garage entrance was great for the chair! Only downside was overall size of rooms were smaller than they appeared in pictures & all closets/drawers/cabinets had so much stuff in them it was hard to unpack anything. Also, would be awesome perk if pool could be heated. ;) Anna & JC were easy to communicate with & accommodated our early arrival so graciously. They even left us some cookies & pumpkin pie & champagne for New Year's Eve! ;)

The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was wonderful. They let us know the house was ready for checkin prior to our checkin time. The location was great for our stay on the island, very close to everything. It was too cold for us to use the pool, but the hot tub was perfect. Great experience!

The check/In process was a little different - I had to complete a waiver 2 days before check/in for the hot tub and pool. I understand why, but would have thought it would have been sooner than this so all staying could sign without being rushed. Hot tub was full of chlorine. We couldn’t use it with the Jets going because it stirred it up so bad it would take your breath and burn your eyes. The house itself was nice and exactly what we were looking for, just a few tweaks. We didn’t have great communication - I think it was the app. I was getting messages from the PO after midnight, then got check out instructions at 8:30 when checkout was at 10. It wasn’t anything difficult, we just planned on leaving earlier than 10 so we had to hang out to get some of their requests done.

We had a great time - house was fully stocked with everything we needed and even though it rained over half the time we were there we still got outside to enjoy the pool and loved the hot tub. Owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to texts/emails. Definitely recommend this house

Beautifully decorated home and backyard. Very well-furnished with supplies in bathroom and kitchen - best I have ever seen! We stayed for 3 nights and the beds we slept in were surprisingly very comfortable. Our 7 grandkids LOVED the pool! The weather was very hot (August in Texas 😉) but the house stayed comfortably cool. That was very much appreciated! All in all it was a fun and memorable experience and if we can we would love to stay there again. However, there are a few things I would like to point out for any other guests who may use wheelchairs. The front door entrance has a rather large step and was difficult to tilt the WC back far enough to get up to the landing. After we got into the house we discovered that the garage made a much better entrance for anyone in a wheelchair, so if you know that, it is not problem, so just a heads up. One other issue with WC accessibility is that my daughters WC was too large to make it through the bathroom doorways. My daughter does use a larger sIze WC so a regular size might work fine. I just mention that because it COULD be a problem for others too. Getting around in a wheelchair was no problem for the rest of the home or patio. I guess the home is a 5 minute walk to the beach IF you can walk but if you have a wheelchair you will have to drive to a further point. (To access the beach all along the sea wall you have to walk down stairs.) One other word of caution for those with kids who may not be able to swim well but don’t need to wear life jackets. The pool slopes off to “deep” much quicker than one might expect. I would say that approximately two thirds of the pool is deep. Just be aware of that. There was an ample selection of different size and style life jackets and there were numerous pool floats and toys. All of us - even the adults - were quite impressed with what we labeled the “torpedo” toy which seemed to travel through the water effortlessly. The only real “disappointment” is that the hot tub was “off season”. I did not see that mentioned anywhere in the listing but was told that on the day before our arrival. Perhaps I just missed seeing that piece of info. Our group ranged from 4-78 and every one of us had a “let’s do that again” experience!

Six of us rent a beach house once a year but we usually go the tradition beach on the west side. This was a single family with a pool so first thing is no stair climbing and dragging all your stuff up there in 100 degree heat! House was great and neighborhood quiet. Only issue was pool was green on the last day. However, I called the owner and he walked me through shocking it. Not sure what the pool treatment schedule is but the pool guy should come more frequently. The kitchen is really small but we knew that and planned our meals to cook ahead mostly. Everything was really clean and lots of room to sit and visit.

The pool and outside setup was absolutely perfect!! We had 12 of us staying here and it accommodated us very well!!

This is our second year to stay at this property. The home is perfect with the 4 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a gorgeous backyard with private pool, Hot tub, Tiki Bar and covered patio. The owners are awesome! We have been to Galveston every year for over 50 years and this is our favorite place to stay especially because of the private pool and location! If you have a huge crowd the owners also own the home next door and it has a private pool! On a scale of 1 to 10 our family gives this rental a 10++++! We will be back next year!

We were very pleased and happy with our stay. I went there with my family (I have 3 kids), my sister’s family (she has 2 kids) and my parents, everything was clean and accommodating for all of us. The kids ages ranged form 1 to 13 years old, the pool was a plus, and it was perfect after coming back from the beach. The beach is 5 minutes away, you can walk, but we decided to drive, since there is a busy street that you need to cross. The house also had kids toys, floating devices for little ones and a pack n play!!! Which was super helpful for my sister’s baby. The property owners were very good with communication and answering questions. The space was enough for all of us, the kitchen is small, but functional. Kroger and Randall’s are 6 minutes away. This is a great property close to the beach and just a short drive to town. Quiet location makes it ideal for families. Hosts were very responsive throughout.

This home was absolutely perfect- I traveled with my husband, our three kids (12, 9, 6), and my parents (72, 66). This home was all one level, and the pool and hot tub were wonderful. The patio was furnished under an awning, giving the adults a shady spot to watch kiddos in the pool. The tiki bar in the backyard was cute as well! The beach was about two blocks away (we drove due to needing to cross a busy street). We could not have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts!

Nice house and pool. Owners were prompt in answering questions. This was a much needed break from everything. I would stay here again.

We had a very nice stay in Galveston at this house. it's located in a residential neighborhood of small homes that's a 2 minute drive to the beach. The beach is lined with free parking along the seawall. The house was very well stocked with plenty of towels and paper products. They had a ton of beach equipment and beach towels for us to use. The kitchen is a little small but functional. I would definitely stay there again.

My family and I enjoyed every moment in this place. Location is very close to everything and the owner was always available to answer questions.

We loved this house! The amount of cars and the look of the neighborhood is a tad deceiving at first. It is an older neighborhood but super quiet and neighbors were extremely friendly. The description and pictures of the house in the listing don’t do it justice. It is amazing!! The decor is absolutely beautiful, tons of room to move around and plenty of sleep space. It had a very homey feel. Everything you can imagine is supplied for you from beach towels, toys and chairs to shampoo and lotions. The owners have thought of everything. The beach was only a couple blocks away and super easy to get to. You can walk to it but we chose to drive and park because my mother is a bit older and wouldn’t have been able to walk up the hill with her knee. Walmart is close by and every restaurant we wanted to eat at had delivery available. The kitchen is a tad small but fully stocked and we chose not to cook anyway. The dining table was large and a perfect fit for us. The backyard is beautiful! A clean pool, plenty of toys, a shower, plenty of lounge chairs...the kids and adults all loved it. It was great to come back from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and enjoy a private pool area. We didn’t use the tiki bar or bbq pit but both would be great for bigger groups. We even noticed a kayak if you wanted to use it. Owners answered questions and responded quickly. Can’t say enough great things about this house.

My friends and I really enjoyed the house! There was so much room and the pool and tiki bar was a highlight! The kitchen is a bit smaller than expected but we made it work! Overall great house would look into staying here again if I go back to Galveston!

The house is located close to beach. It was clean and nicely decorated. The home came equipped with everything we needed. It had tons of extra towels, blankets, sunscreen, life jackets, pool floats/ toys, dishes. The property manager was easy to work with and very friendly. The backyard was a huge plus! It was great spending time with family on the patio. We would definitely stay again next summer.

We had such a great time for a Mother Daughter/Cheer Competition weekend. The only down side to the property was the kitchen. It is quit small with 6 moms trying to figure meals for kiddos it was a little tuff, BUT everything else makes up for that fact. The home was well stocked for things you didn’t realize you would even need and the pool and patio are beautiful. There was 6 adults and 6 young preteen girls so we were full but never seemed crowded. We will absolutely look at renting this again in the future! Thank you to Anna for helping to make everything so easy.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend here - the house was beautiful and was well-stocked, the patio and pool were perfect, and the house was just a short walk to the beach. We highly recommend it and are looking forward to coming back soon!

my friends and I have stayed at this house twice now. both times we have really enjoyed this place. The pool is great and it is very nice to sit on the back porch and sit back and relax. plenty of room for a group of people. Anna is very nice and will make you feel very welcome to be there.
