I wish I could give this property a higher rating. The condo is gorgeous and well-equipped with everything you could need. The location is great and close to everywhere we wanted to go. The property was very clean when we arrived. We stayed at this property for 5 nights. Twice during that time, the entire area had no running water due to an ocean swell. The first time we were without water for close to 36 hours and the second time was for over 12 hours. While I know the water issues were completely out of the host's control, there was no communication from them regarding the water. Each time it happened, I reached out to see what was going on and had to keep reaching back out for updates as to when the water would be back. They finally offered to bring us bottled water when we hit the 24 hour mark, but never actually did. Overall, this really put a damper on our vacation. We would come back from a day at the beach looking forward to a shower before going to a nice dinner only to get back to the condo and turn the faucet for nothing to come out. At least a heads up from the host could have managed our expectations. Although there were so many positives about this property, we would not stay here again due to those communication issues.

We had a great experience staying at the condo. It is very close to the beach, you walk out of your patio and are on the beach. The condo does look like the listing, one thing I will say is that the outlets are French ones so you may want to bring/but an adapter if you are coming from America because there are only 2 available in the unit. We had a minor issue with the washing machine having a communication error but Marie was very responsive and able to resolve the issue quickly. There is no dryer but you’ll have a rack to hang your clothes for drying. This place is in the French side of the island and about 15 minutes away from Simpson bay. I would stay here again for the beach access.

The Villa was beautiful and well appointed. The disappointment was perhaps cultural and had nothing to do with the Villa or host. I was surprised by the fact that dogs were able to roam freely in community, and not all were friendly. Additionally there is no concern or responsibility for cleaning up the dog waste. Having to navigate around piles of dog waste while walking is a big turn off. Again, the host of our Villa was wonderful and the home was beautiful and met all our needs. We very comfortable!

The place was beautiful , could’ve been cleaner (lots of bugs) but we pretty much did a lot of cleaning . I wish the check in was a sec Check in because we had to wait a little for her to come check us in but we enjoyed our stay . Would definitely book again

Everything was wonderful-this condo was situated perfectly with the best view! We loved the bakery and restaurants nearby, too!

The condo was great. Newly updated and clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet area. Pool was nice. Beach area was very good. It is a gated area with a security guard that checks the grounds from time to time. We felt safe at all times.

It was wonderful waking up each morning with a pretty view of the sun coming up over the mountains in the distance, with ocean and beach in front. The condo is updated, very attractive. We enjoyed our daily sojourn to the bakery for breakfast (lattes & French pastry) and we usually bought bread for later in the day. Also within walking distance are a couple of wonderful restaurants on the Bay side with outdoor dining. St. Martin has quite a few art murals sprinkled all over. The Wall of murals was just opposite our rental area, on the road to it. A big part of what made our experience so positive was our rental Agent, Marie-Laurie, who was always pleasant and helpful, and addressed our needs immediately. A small example was when we ran out of propane for the gas grill, they were there in a few minutes, giving us a new tank. We can't say enough about how nice and responsive she was. We stayed for 2 weeks, and wish it could have longer.

Clean and comfortable. Perfect spot on the ocean with views and breezes all day every day. Low key environment allowed for total relaxation. Managers were super responsive to any question we had. Easy and breezy!

This is a great place to have a family vacation. There are no words to describe how stunningly beautiful the views are, you literally step onto the beach from your villa. I also like that there is a nice mix of English and French. You can practice your french if you chose or if need be everyone speaks english. Marie-Laure was a great hostess and made the check in process easy. She also reached out to me several times prior to the trip to make sure I had everything I needed which I appreciated. I high recommend renting a catamaran for the day with Rodney (who lives 2 doors down) at Arawak. I hope to visit agian

This was our first trip to Saint Martin and Marie-Laure was a wonderful host! She was available for any questions we had, and made suggestions to enhance our experience. The property was clean and spacious. Enough room for four adults. I would definitely come back!

The Monte Cristo is beyond words! Everything you could possibly need and want is provided by the owner and the manager is fantastic! From start to finish this was the easiest vacation we have ever had. We had not been to St Martin prior to the hurricane, and did not know what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised by the places, people and atmosphere we encountered. A stay at the Monte Cristo will surely be one of the most pleasant you will ever have, looking forward to our return trip!

It actually hurts leaving this review because after Hurricane Irma I don't know what's left of this place. The condo is beautiful, you don't need anything but a bathing suit. You can walk out the back door and you're on the beach. I really hope that Martine & Jean Pierre are okay after the hurricane. Please reach out to me if I can help in any way!

My husband, father and nine-year old son stayed at this beach front abode for 7 days in mid-August. While the listing is described as a condo, it felt more like a house, with a spacious upstairs master suite, including an outdoor terrace equipped with loungers. The unit was modern, well-appointed, clean and perfectly situated very close to the ocean and the pool. The wifi was also very good, with access to Netflix and other English-language content to keep us occupied when the sun got too hot. Martin and Jean-Pierre were the perfect hosts, and were kind enough to stock the fridge with some cold beverages upon our arrival. When staying on the French side of the island, make sure to take in Grand Case - the beach is fantastic and great for small children and adults that prefer to lounge (very small waves, lots of beach-side hospitality from surrounding bars). The Mezza Luna restaurant, which is practically next door, was also amazing, especially the pizza.

What a fantastic visit we had to St Martin! Jean Pierre and Martine were lovely hosts so nice that we call them family. They provided us a warm welcome with champagne and home made cookies and offered many suggestions for wonderful restaurants and excursions! They responded via email to any questions within the hour and live close by if you needed anything. Beds were comfortable and amenities were good. The unit had two lanais, one downstairs and one upstairs as well as a kitchenette upstairs so we could make coffee without disturbing the kids. The units had a washer but no clothes dryer but that was not a problem. The ability to got to the upstairs lanai to hang my clothes on the dryer rack with the breeze blowing through them was something that I so enjoyed. I don't get that at home! It was so nice to just walk out the door into the sand and to the water. Pool and beach just steps out the door with palm trees to calm you and put you in relaxation mode. The water was warm yet refreshing and we had beach chairs, toys and floaties to enjoy the pool and beach. The island is definitely the "friendly" island. We had unfortunate luck with a poor rental car and got a flat tire. We had no less than five people stop to ask if we needed help asking nothing in return. We were able to walk next door to two lovely restaurants and a bakery with fresh croissants and there were a plethora of beaches and shops all within 15-30 minutes. Thank you so much for being such great hosts! Look forward to returning to the friendly island and staying at the condo Monte Cristo again!

We just spent a fabulous week at the Monte Cristo and can't wait to go back! From the moment we booked, to the day we arrived, and throughout our stay, Martine and Jean-Pierre were so very helpful and welcoming! The property was in fabulous condition, the view was spectacular, and the proximity to Nettle Bay could not be beat! It's even better than the pictures. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters and we had plenty of room and all the amenities you can imagine. The location was perfect for exploring the entire island, and the snorkeling right outside the condo door in Nettle Bay was hard to beat! Every restaurant Martine and Jean-Pierre recommended was amazing, and several were within walking distance of this condo! I am confident you will be more than pleased with this condo and a visit to this friendly island! My family loved it!

My husband and I stayed at Monte Cristo April 20-28. It was sheer bliss. Only steps to the beautiful Nettle Bay. Good snorkeling too. Quiet neighborhood of condos with security that walks around frequently and community is gated. Weather was fantastic...80-82 each day, some clouds and rain at times, but they pass over quickly. Enjoyed dinners out (3 fantastic restaurants are a very short walk away), and the casinos are small but so much fun. Enjoyed seeing the planes take off and land right on Maho Bay. Utilized a pre-stocking service from ShopnDrop, which I highly recommend. Jean-Pierre and Martine are by far, the most gracious, kind, responsive and overall best hosts ever!

Incredible hosts, and a beautiful villa that was extremely clean. The view is to die for. St-Martin is full of wonderful beaches, so rent a car and go visit a different one every day and then come home to this wonderful villa.

Malgré le fait qu'il s'agisse de notre deuxième visite, nos hôtes Martine et Jean Pierre sont toujours aussi accueillant. Villa qui répondait à tous nos critères. C'est à dire très biens situé et avec toutes les commodités à proximité. Mais ce qui fait la différence est l'attention que les hôtes portent aux clients. En autre en répondant à certain petits caprices que des québécois comme moi avons des fois! Merci beaucoup à Jean-Pierre et Martine et au plaisir.

Très bel accueil ! Martine et Jean-Pierre sont très sympathiques , disponibles et de bons conseils. L'endroit est bien situé, épicerie, restaurants , pharmacie et une pâtisserie de rêves à pied du condo . Nous allions y chercher nos déjeunés et diners , fraicheur exceptionnelle . Le condo très propre , bien situé et tranquille. Nous avons adoré les grandes portes patios sur le balcon . A l'exterieur il y a les fauteuils , table à diner, chaises longues , la plage , la mer et la piscine , le paradis !!! Nous aurions bien voulu rester une semaine de plus ! Nous y retournerons . 1 er voyage avec notre fille, son conjoint et notre petit fils de 8 mois ,lit de bébé et chaise haute fournis , belle expérience grâce à Martine et Jean-Pierre. Nous étions comme à la maison. Merci pour le champagne et les petites gourmandises maison, les macarons au coconut me manque ! Nous avons été recu comme de la famille c est précieux ! A bientôt :-)

We have been to the island numerous times and this is by far our favorite place. The condo is great, just as described. The beach is steps away...excellent restaurants in walking distance...everything you need and want right there. Martine and Jean Pierre are an absolute pleasure to deal with from the beginning to the end. We can't wait to go back!!!

First off ... Pictures do not do this property justice . My girlfriend and I flew down for a few days in August and didn't leave the property for the first 2 days other then to eat, It was beyond relaxing .Martine and Jean Pierre were incredible hosts and had champagne and candies waiting for us when we got there . They also spent time to pass on a lot of great information to help with sight seeing and restaurants etc . Most days we were the only ones on the beach near the condo and the most we ever saw at the pool was another couple . The property is very quiet and safe and there are many cafe's restaurants and a few grocery stores nearby. I can't say enough good things about the hosts .. the property and our experience overall ! Already planning our next trip !

My title says it all. We loved the Monte Cristo, NBBC and Jean-Pierre & Martine so much that we don't want to tell everyone about it so this condo is available for us when we return:) Our view was so amazing! The unit is just as it looks and so close to the beach and pool that our children could just go out whenever they wanted. When Jean-Pierre & Martine met us at the condo they took us through everything we needed to know. I'll never forget when Jean-Pierre said "this is your home". That was so welcoming to me and it felt exactly like it was our home. The location of NBBC is perfect. Great restaurants, a French grocery store, nail place, French patisserie, pizza spot, watersports, gas station/market, car rental all in walking distance. Nettle Baie is the perfect area where we didn't feel it was full of tourists. The large patio and deck was our favorite place in the condo. The doors opened nearly all the way and my husband and I would sit out at night watching TV and the view all night (of course with a night cap or two) with the best breeze ever often falling asleep! Not only is the Monte Cristo well equipped with all your needs this unit has Roku. If you have your Netflix, Hulu, etc accounts you can watch/catch up on all your programs as well as some of your abc, CNN, YouTube channels perfect for the children! Jean Pierre & Martine thought of everything to get you started. Juices, a couple bottles of water, homemade cookies (made by Martine) and a bottle of Champagne. Marigot and the airport are only a 10-15 min drive away from the condo. While St. Maarten is by far the most amazing island we've ever visited I must say that this condo was the most important part of our vacation and why we will certainly return - can't get back soon enough!

My family of 4 adults stayed for a week (Not long enough) in this beautiful well maintained property. It had everything you can ask for and more. Few steps to the beach or pool if you preferred. Beautiful view of Marigot. Excellent restaurants in walking distance. Martine and Jean-Pierre were excellent in assisting with any questions and offering great advice for places to go and see. It was a great help as our first time on the French Side of St. Martin. The entire property is well maintained and they have security walking around all day in the gated community. All the neighbors were extremely friendly. Can not wait to get back. Thank You !!

We stayed for 24 nights and loved every minute in this super clean, beautifully located and well furnished condo. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and pool which were only steps away. We never got tired of the view from the condo of Nettle Bay with the town of Marigot in the distance. My wife loves to cook and the kitchen was well equipped and we often ate on the dinner table on the deck. With the large patio doors open we enjoyed a steady breeze without the need for AC. All the restaurants(4) which we could easily walk to were excellent. The pool was very clean, never crowded and great for swimming laps. Both beds were very comfortable. The deck on the upper level was great for our morning exercises and for drying out our clothes. The TV reception was a little spotty but I believe it was to be upgraded. Our favorite beach on the island was Baji Bouge (we visited them all) only a 5 minute drive away, never crowded with easy parking except on the weekends. The food on the French side of the island was always delicious. The best part of our stay in the Monte Cristo was the hospitality of our hosts Martine and Sean-Pierre. Wonderful people, so friendly and helpful. We hope to return to the wonderful island of St Martin and would certainly stay in this condo.

We stayed in the condo over Christmas 2015 and loved this place. The setup was perfect for us - a couple with a teenage son. He had his own room, with a king size bed and bathroom on the main floor and we had the same upstairs with a kitchenette to make coffee in the morning to drink on the private upstairs terrace. John-Pierre and Martine are lovely to deal with and you see them around the property just about every day and very willing to answer any questions or help make reservations. The beach was quiet and never crowded. The salt water pool was clean and also quiet. There are watersports available across the street if you are looking for activities., There is an amazing french bakery/pizzeria within walking distance where we bought fresh bread and lunch items there, almost every day. We rented a car from Claude at Discount, who is located near the condo and picked us up and took us back to the airport. We liked the area where we stayed more than other parts of the island that we drove to, but were glad to have the car to be able to tour around when we felt like it. If you don't like all inclusive resorts with their thousands of people, bad food and fighting for a spot on the beach, this might be perfect for you too.

Wir sind zwei befreundete Paare und haben im November dreizehn Tage im Monte Christo Beach Condo verbracht. Das Haus hat uns super gut gefallen und war aufgrund der Aufteilung ideal. Die Bilder sind kein bisschen geschönt....man bekommt wirklich dass, was die Fotos auch versprechen. Der Blick auf den Strand und die Bucht von Marigot von der Terrasse aus sind einfach traumhaft!! Wir haben uns die ganze Insel angeschaut und hätten uns keinen schöneren Platz zum wohnen als im Nettle Bay Beachclub wünschen können. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern Jean - Pierre und Martine war sehr nett und freundlich. Um Probleme haben sie sich sofort gekümmert. Wir hatten aufgrund eines sehr starken Regens etwas Wasser in der Küche. Keine Stunde später war alles behoben und wieder gereinigt. Auch die Tipps und Anregungen, sowie der Kontakt zu einem befreundeten Autovermieter Claude waren klasse. Es hat alles von Anfang bis Ende wunderbar geklappt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können einen Urlaub auf St . Maarten und in dem Condo nur weiterempfehlen! Danke an Jean-Pierre, Martine und auch Claude für einen traumhaften Urlaub ☺️

My husband and I first went to St. Maarten last May for my 30th and a vacation and stayed at one of the owner's other properties (two doors down). We loved it so much that we decided to come back for our honeymoon this past August. Despite the two tropical storms which shut down much of the island (for no reason because they were not that bad), we had an amazing two weeks here! Jean-Pierre and Martine were fabulous hosts, very accommodating, informative and we loved being a guest of theirs! They made sure that we had water for the storms, internet when it went down (gave us a key to another condo (next door) they owned to use the internet) and even offered to have us to their home! We spent the first week and a half at the other condo (2 doors down) but our hosts generously offered this beautiful condo because Beach Tulip was rented for the last five days of our trip; Jean-Pierre and Martine were so flexible and even bent the rules a bit to help make the move as seamless and on "our time" as possible. The French side is lovely (where Nettle Bay Beach Club is) and there is plenty to do around Nettle Bay. GET A CAR....the island is small and worth driving around (a few times!). Try as many restaurants as you can stomach and don't be afraid to go asks locals about some great spots to eat, shop and experience the true island vacation! It is a safe island and Nettle Bay Beach Club is safe and friendly as well. The water is extremely close as were the pools. Our little spot is swimmable but there are a few sea urchins...just swim over the reef and you'll be fine! Be sure to check out local beaches! They were very private, non-crowded and the sand/water was that of a screensaver! We love this place, the neighbors, the food, our hosts and all that the island has to offer! A great place and we hope to return to see our friends again...seriously :). You wont be disappointed...the pictures truly reflect what you actually get.

Il Condo Montecristo è direttamente sulla spiaggia, pochi metri lo distanziano dal mare turchese, ti puoi addormentare cullato dal rumore delle onde. Il complesso è tranquillo, ideale per una vacanza di relax, la piscina è pulita utilizzabile in ogni orario. È a pochi minuti dall’aeroporto, dal supermercato e dalle più belle spiagge del promontorio delle Terre Basse e dai ristoranti e in un’ottima posizione rispetto alla visita dell’isola ma vale decisamente la pena anche godersi il condo e la spiaggia antistante. Jeanpierre ci ha accolto all’arrivo dandoci tutte le spiegazioni necessarie, l’indomani con la moglie Martine ci ha fornito anche suggerimenti per la vacanza, gli acquisti e i ristoranti. Il Condo è esattamente come nelle fotografie e ha superato le nostre aspettative: ha una cucina fornita di ogni elettrodomestico e stoviglie, la tv è via internet, ci sono stati forniti anche i teli mare. Abbiamo avuto qualche problema con la wifi brillantemente risolto da Jeanpierre. Siamo rimasti entusiasti della disponibilità di Jeanpierre, molto professionale e cordiale, che ha esaudito anche la nostra richiesta in loco di avere un letto singolo per un bimbo da posizionare vicino al letto matrimoniale che è stato acquistato appositamente per noi. Questo meraviglioso Condo ha contribuito a rendere ancor più bella la nostra vacanza. A.S.S.P.G.

Jean Pierre and Martine were gracious hosts. Jean Pierre took the time to go over everything with us. We had no issues whatsoever with the condo. Our favourite place to eat was minutes walk from the condo. Simply amazing food, over looking the ocean and wonderful friendly service. We felt safe at all times and without incidence. The pool was good to have for late night swims, it's well maintained, as is the whole property. The ocean water is rough but still enjoyable, No complaints!!! We rented a car and toured the island. Marigot is 5 minute drive definitely one of my favourite places for shopping. We went to Orient Bay twice for the beach and night life. Our favourite place was Grande Case, the beach was amazing, water calm and very quiet. Overall if you like a relaxing, low key holiday this is the place to get it. The condo was more than we expected. Walk out to the beach was breath taking both day and night. The view, the breeze, the sound of ocean waves and tranquillity were beyond what we expected. We didn't want to leave the property. Martine, keeps the condo spotless which is extremely important to me. Thank you Jean Pierre and Martine for making our stay such an unforgettable experience. We just returned home from an amazing week in St Maarten, and cannot say enough great things about the Monte Cristo Condo, and the Nettle Bay Beach Resort (and especially Jean-Pierre and Martine, our gracious hosts :)). Jean-Pierre and Martine welcomed us at the condo as soon as we arrived, and reviewed everything we needed to know immediately. We were walked through the condo entirely, showing us each room, the 2nd floor balcony, locking the condo and gate, and how to use the shutter system (we rented the condo as a 2-bedroom). A chilled bottle of amazing champagne along with chilled flutes was waiting in the refrigerator, as well as a few other cold beverages for the kids. The condo included everything you could needs including bath and beach towels, a washer and drying rack, starter shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, paper towels, etc., and best of all...a mesmerizing view of the Caribbean that will take your breath away with each morning’s cup of coffee. Jean-Pierre and Martine provided fantastic dinner suggestions which you MUST try, as well as directions to the grocery store and many other destinations- anything you needed to know! Jean-Pierre also booked dinner and catamaran reservations for us (thank you again!)!! The resort is secured and maintained wonderfully. The pools are attended to multiple times daily, and security is regularly seen walking the property each day. We felt very safe here and very taken care of. My only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough! As mentioned when departing, Jean-Pierre and Martine, next time...2 weeks!!! :) Take care! Merci beaucoup!
