Location, clean room, staff is nice

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have a higher review score...I thought it was great. The room was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Nice white sheets, decent en suite shower room, large room with TV. The location was good for exploring the city. I'm not sure what more you could want, for this price, and I would certainly stay here again if I should be in Semey. Thanks for having me!

Very welcoming and helpful staff, especially at reception. Nice spacious room. The hotel is in a conveniently central location as well. I had a very pleasant stay here.

This is essentially a dormitory, not a hotel. The front door is locked at night...so you have to ring to get back in. Rooms are VERY basic... including not having closets! The doors lock via a simple pin in the handle. The walls are thin. How thin? My room, directly opposite the Reception Desk, afforded me the chance to hear the comings and goings of guests all night. The beds are hard. The work desk is small and the stool is smaller. In sum: REALLY not comfortable. Then, upon checkout (at 10 am), the front desk person said she could not process a credit card payment or even a receipt for a cash payment "since the bookkeeper was out." Never again!

The location is excellent for access to the Abai museum and Dostoevsky museum, as well as the city center and Central Park. The accommodations are spartan, but clean, and the staff were extremely helpful.

The room was quite small, but adequate. Not a place that you want to spend much time in, but fine if you're planning to get out and about the city and primarily need a place to sleep. We may be back.
