Amazing property with great views and accessible hiking trails. Premium construction and furnishings. We were there for Thanksgiving and had plenty of room for adults and active grandchildren! Rachel was incredibly responsive in person and by phone. Some highlights of what we loved about the property; - kitchen well stocked with tools and appliances - drinking water service - unexpected surprises from the snacks in the pantry to the "kids clubhouse" under the stairs to the well stocked activity room (arts & crafts) and the playroom above the garage; outdoor basketball hoop and ping pong in garage. - the grounds… great views and hiking. Looking forward to another opportunity to stay here.

Our group of six ladies thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful large home on a quiet peaceful rural property. The home was spotless and everything was in good working condition. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans and supplies, so that we were able to cook a nice dinner for our group one evening. There are several small towns close by with a variety of restaurants from casual to fancy, and we really enjoyed the friendly vibe from everyone that we met in the local area. We had a very interesting tour at Hinchley's Dairy Farm one afternoon, and we were even able to try milking a cow! The house is about 25 minutes from Madison, and we enjoyed a visit to the lovely state capitol, and the nearby U of WI campus. We also visited the Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, a nice place to stop for a few hours. But most of all we loved just hanging around the house - there are two separate spaces for gathering, with lots of cozy seating, and a game room if you need more entertainment. Rachel was quick and easy to communicate with, and she answered all of our questions. I hope to return to this beautiful place again!

My family met here for my dad's 70th birthday. We went into Madison Saturday morning and enjoyed the house and property the rest of the weekend. It was very well stocked and a great place for kids and adults.

We spent Labor Day weekend at this beautiful house. We had plans to go out with our kids and their cousins to places like the Madison zoo and children’s museum, but once we got to the house, they had so much fun playing at the house that we didn’t venture out as much as we planned. The kitchen and pantry were well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals for our group of seven and seven kids. We loved the views and the quiet surroundings. Also, unfortunately, when we returned home, we realized my youngest’s favorite lovey hadn’t made it back into our bags. The property manager found it and mailed it back to us the next day! That was going above and beyond and saved us many sleepless nights. :) We hope to stay again and recommend this lovely house to all of our friends who need a quiet and stress-free getaway near Madison.

We had our youngests sons wedding party in Stoughton Friday night, had family coming from Colorado and Michigan. Much better than any hotel, spacious yet quality time in so many places in this property. Loved that screened in porch. Had a most memorable experience. Grandchildren had a great time, hard to get them to sleep. Highly recommended! Thanks for the memories.

The property is beautiful and was so comfortable for all of us. It has everything you could want. We really enjoyed our time together there, whether hanging out in the screened porch, enjoying the fire pit on the patio, spending time in the kitchen or taking in our beautiful surroundings. We will plan another family trip here.

We have visited multiple times, and the home and beauty of the farm continue to give us a place to refresh and spend time focused on family - the home has spaces for large gatherings and individual reading or resting. Thank you for this remarkable place.

Such a beautiful home and property. So many wonderful fun "outdoor toys" and activities to do for all ages. Great game room with so many games. So much attention given to details on every level.

We came back here to celebrate my mom’s 80th, after being here for my dad’s. It’s a great location for multiple families to come together. We had forgotten how perfect the house and setting are- just perfect! So much room, so many areas for everyone, and such an accommodating host. Rachel is the most friendly, responsive property manager and made sure things went smoothly. We had a great time in a very prepared home that had all of the essentials provided and then some! You can tell they truly care about their guests.

This is our fourth time using this property and it always meets our needs! Great place for a family, and Rachel is a fabulous host! Always clean, and fully equipped. We will be back!

Our three generation group of seven ladies, ages 13-75, thoroughly enjoyed our girls trip to Wisconsin. The house was perfect for our long weekend stay with plenty of space to spread out as well as great space to gather. Inside the house we enjoyed the screened in porch; fully stocked kitchen, including snacks; and the cozy furnishings. The property was great for exploring, bird watching, visiting with the sheep, and kayaking. Several good restaurants were close by and we also explored Madison and it's Sat AM farmer's market. The entire trip exceeded all of our expectations, and we are looking forward to making this an annual event. Thank you to Rachel for hosting us!

The Oak House is simply perfect. Beautiful setting, everything you could ever dream of needing during your stay, gorgeous and gloriously roomy house, and absolutely homey. Enjoyed a catered meal by Joel to celebrate our son's graduation and it was DELICIOUS. We didn't want to leave.

We were attending the Midwest Horse Fair in madison and used this as our HUB for the our group. It was a straight show out of town with very minimal traffic. Racheal the property manager was top notch!! The house has nothing left undone. Everything you could think of was there and we wished we could have enjoyed the home other just breakfast and late night arrivals. Great home and we hope to return soon!!

This property is just how it reads. If you’re looking for a space for gathering friends, family or, such in this case, co-workers, this is the spot for you. It’s perfect for those occasions of settling in, getting comfortable and connecting. I highly recommend this rental just a short drive from Madison.

Our group was a reunion of 10 friends (5 couples). Rachel was welcoming and cheerful and had the place cleaned spotlessly. The property was beautiful and it was fun to walk up the road to visit with the goats at the adjacent house. We walked every day and would have liked to have had a rough map of the property. Kitchen was very well stocked. It was nice to have the big open area and counter with stools surrounding the kitchen for visiting while cooking. There were some maintenance issues (gas fireplace and TV not working, hot tub not turned up before our arrival, door lock very tricky) but Rachel responded promptly and tried hard to make things right for us.

We rented the house for our entire family during our wedding. They had the time of their lives! From the gorgeous house itself to the amazing stocked toys and games (the mountain bikes were a big hit w/ our teenagers!) there isn't a thing not thought of already waiting for you. Would and will re-rent in a heartbeat! Rachel the property manager is the best!!

Our 8-year-old future writer says the Oak House is a house with "no ends" - whenever she starts to feel bored she finds another place to play and explore. This is true inside and outside where our family spent much time hiking the trails and learning SO MUCH about the environment. The hosts are extraordinary. The house could not be cleaner or better stocked. Thank you to all to make the Oak House possible.

We stayed at the Oak House for six nights. We have rented a number of houses over the years to accommodate family get togethers. This was by far the nicest, best laid out for large groups and the best equipped house that we have rented. We hosted a family reunion for about 30 family members and the house accommodated us perfectly. There were six fold out tables, 24 folding chairs, yard games, fire pits, two refrigerators, a chest freezer and a pantry that could serves as a spare bedroom, if needed. The amenities provided were the best that we have ever experienced. We travel with two plastic bins that hold all of the spices, utensils, storage bags, etc. that we might need. We really didn't need any of it. Rachel was wonderful. We only needed a few things, but, she took care of them immediately. We hope that we have reason to stay in South West Wisconsin again so we can rent the Oak House. Thank you.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had.

I could not say enough wonderful things about this home and the property management. From the beginning of exploring potential VRBO options through the actual stay, it was a wonderful experience. Rachel was on point with everything from answering questions we had to ensuring the house we in mint condition. Our family trip was for a wedding nearby but it felt much more like a vacation. I highly recommend this beautiful home not only because of the amenities and setting but also because of the property management and ownership.

We rented the property so my family could all be together for my wedding weekend… needless to say we are going to make it a tradition to book a week here with family every year. The convenience and beautiful surroundings made for a true week of R&R.

Beautiful, executive level home, fantastic kitchen amenities, more space than you could dream of, an amazing children’s room with quality toys and dress-up stuff, amazing big-screen TV’s in numerous rooms (which we didn’t use—too much lovely outdoor activities) a very large (and popular!) hot tub in a screen room, and a large outdoor hosting area (hosted 7 on 7 basketball as well as a pre-wedding get-together on the back patio.) Lovely views down a sweeping meadow to the tree farm, lots of room for Kube players. Adequate parking, even when hosting the wedding guests for an evening. Connected to the other two properties by multiple tree-farm paths, enjoyed by my running contingent. An absolutely over-the-top property, spotless, spacious, yet welcoming

My family of 12 stayed at the Oak House for the first time and loved it. There are even more bedrooms than in the listing, so ample room for everyone to spread out. Huge pantry pre-stocked with snacks. Great views and about 25 minutes from the city. Would highly recommend!

We rented this home to celebrate my mother in laws 70th birthday. We had 6 adults, 2 teens and 3 children and the house was perfect for everyone. Clean and spacious and something for everyone to do. It's location is perfect. It's quiet and peaceful, but not too far from anything you may need. We would definitely stay here again!
