Very well stocked, nice beds, close to everything

We just returned from our stay over Thanksgiving week. Already thinking of booking again for next year! We have been to many Caribbean islands and I can say Grand Cayman is now on my list of favorites. The condo was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Location was perfect and Kathy, the property manager was great. Walking distance to so many places and a short ride to amazing beaches. We went to the public beach, Governors Beach and Spotts beach. Spotts beach was not as close but worth a visit to see the turtles and snorkel. You can also snorkel at beach area directly in front of condo. We did not find the lack of sandy beach an issue at all. Would recommend reserving a trip to swim with the Stingrays, snorkeling at the reef and Starfish beach. We did a trip that included all 3 and was such fun. We ate at Coconut Joes, Peppers, Alfresco, Brooklyn Pizza at Canama Bay and Llyods Smokehouse....all good but Alfresco and Llyods were our favorite. Coconut Joes is at the top of the street and has a nice breakfast. The public bus is easy, inexpensive and a great way to get around. It is $2 CI or $2.50 US to most any place. Bus drivers are friendly, accommodating and helpful. They run constantly and you can easily hop on at the top of the street. Grab you beach chair, pack a cooler and head to the beach or to the restaurants at night. Overall it was an incredible experience, and we hope to go back.

This place is one of the best condos we've ever stayed at. It's really a home away from home. The condo is very nicely decorated, stocked with all the necessities, on-site staff, and everything worked. It's a corner unit right on the ground floor next to the ocean. There are more than 20 lounge chairs and 20 patio chairs on the pool deck next to the ocean. The condo is perfectly located in the middle of everything (groceries, restaurants, activities, and very close to downtown shopping. The property only has about 30 units and most of those are full time residents. Those we met were extremely hospitable and helped us feel right at home. The next time we visit the Grand Cayman we will stay here again!!

We had an amazing family vacation with incredible ocean views from every angle. Our family loved hanging out in the pool and ocean steps away from the apartment. It's a shame that the sand had been washed away by a storm, but we were warned about this issue ahead of our stay. The house was nicely decorated and kitchen was fully stocked, we even enjoyed grilling by the pool. The grounds were very well kept, with beautiful landscaping. Staff were super attentive and helpful. We'd love to come back!

Amazing view! Exceeded our expectations! Kathy, the property manager was always available and very helpful. We did not rent a car and were able to walk to many restaurants and shops!

The location is priceless. The unit is practically on the beach itself and eating every meal to the sound of crashing waves was definitely the highlight of our trip! Would absolutely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at Tamarind Condo. It was a beautiful and convenient location. Walk out to the beach, pool and even shopping to walk to. Check in was easy and communication with yhe owner and the manager was easy and timely.

Great location walking to all restaurants and 10 minute walk to Kirks. Condo spacious for family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children).

Ideal- close to pool, ocean and spectacular views. Easy access to good restaurants, downtown and activities.

This property was various nice and right on the beach. We found it to be convenient to everything.

We had an excellent time in this villa! We were there with 3 kids and 4 adults and there was enough room for all of us! We really enjoyed waking up to the gorgeous view of the ocean. And the kids loved being steps from the pool. The villa was very well stocked with everything we needed, even a high chair and pack n play! It’s perfectly positioned on seven mile with several restaurants within walking distance. Andy’s rental car is right across the street too! We will be back! Thanks for a great time.

Very nice condo in a very convenient location. The condo complex is a little dated but very clean and very well maintained ( thank you Henry). Due to some previous weather, there was no beach at all and we were warned of that fact before we came and was offered a cancellation. We chose to go and we are glad we did. The ocean was literally steps away from our unit and some decent snorkeling was to be found just off the complex. The unit is located between two choices of grocery stores, close to many good places to eat and liquor stores as well. A nice walk to Camana Bay if you so choose will take you to more upscale fare. Only a few minor issues with the unit but those were immediately addressed by management and our stay went off without a hitch. Plenty of lizards and crabs to chase, right outside the door too.

We had an amazing time in Unit 5/Brian’s condo. This was our 2nd stay at Tamarind Bay Condo’s , first stay in Unit 5. The location is amazing and such a beautiful view from the living window and lani! Kathy in the office is great as well as housekeeping and Henry who maintains the outside property . The condo is super cute and shows attention to detail in decor. We found everything we needed for our 10 day stay. We will definitely be back!!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful condo for a week and had the best time. We were greeted by Kathy who was so nice and accommodating and gave us a tour of the condo and lots of information about things to do and places to go. There was a nice gift basket with fresh fruit and snacks waiting for us when we arrived. The unit is decorated beautifully and has breathtaking views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals with lots of little extras. There were lots of games and books for entertainment. The beds were super comfortable and the views were gorgeous. The sunsets were incredible. The location was great because we could walk to so many restaurants and the grocery store and Camana bay so we didn’t need to rent a car. We loved lounging at the nice pool and the snorkeling just out front of the condo complex was great with lots to see. It was a nice quiet area compared to some of the busy hotels farther down the beach. I can’t think of a single way this place could be improved because it was perfect and had everything we needed. The weather was perfect every day and we will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful house, right on the beach with gorgeous views of the water from almost every room. The big picture window as you enter says it all, overlooking the clear, aqua water. We loved sleeping with the slider open hearing the ocean all night and stepping out to the roomy lanai to eat, sip wine, talk, and play games. Six adults stayed for a week and it was so peaceful and relaxing. There were hardly any other guests in the complex so we had the pool and beach mostly to ourselves. The home was very well-equipped with nothing missing at all - even had beach chairs, towels and an umbrella. And a beautiful welcome basket of goodies when we arrived. The manager, Kathy, was very nice and helpful. The location was great, and we walked to several restaurants for our meals. When we drove to activities or into Georgetown to shop, it was never more than a few minutes. The furniture and decor were rich and lovely. No complaints at all. We will definitely stay here again!

This Unit 5 at Tamarind Bay is as advertised by so many wonderful reviews preceding our review. The VIEW! Sunrise viewings of cruise ships coming in for the day and sunset every evening......not to mention the crystal clear aqua waters - it's just perfect! With free wine and liquor delivery available from J Scott Online to delivery from Kirk Market grocery store, along with 7 miles of beach walking and snorkeling at your doorstep, you quite literally never need to leave the wonderful relaxation experience of this condo! The staff is wonderfully friendly and provided great advice.....Kathy the GM had a wonderful welcome basket awaiting our arrival full of fruits and nibbles, Henry the maintenance person had a friendly greeting for us each morning, and the cleaning staff was very thorough the 2 times they visited in our 7 day stay. This was a college friend reunion celebrating our 60th birthdays and the 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms worked out great. There were plenty of towels available for bath as well as beach, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were all comfortable, the decor was very well done, and the conversation areas on both the lanai and living room were great to sit and catch up while enjoying wine, nibbles, and that VIEW! We went during Adult Batabano Parade week celebrating the 100 cultures of the Caymans and were treated to a Mardi Gras style parade that went right past the condo the Saturday of our stay. We took advantage of the Flavour Tour at Camana Bay (a short 15 min. walk from the condo) - highly recommended....and Kathy also recommended a tour guide for us who took us to the East End of the island where we toured Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Garden, the Blow Holes, Pedro St James castle, and ate at Tucca, an Australian restaurant - fantastic! We plan to return to this condo regularly in the future. Highly recommend this condo for your friends or family gatherings.

Great place to take a family with a young child. Location both to water and pool is great. Good places to eat and get supplies within walking distance.

Tamarind Bay and Unit #5 was a just the right fit for our two families (8 people). This complex was quiet and had plenty of chairs by the pool and beach. The water was beautiful and calm which made for great snorkeling right out front. Everything you could need to feel right at home: fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, grills, games, t.v.’s in every room, beach towels, etc. The large screened in patio was a wonderful extension to the living room and so enjoyable in the evenings.

This property was perfect for our family getaway. It is furnished and supplied with everything you need. The location is great , close enough to tourist places yet far enough out of the crowds. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Our group of six (two 55+, plus four young adults) thoroughly enjoyed our week in this unit in Tamarind Bay Condos. Upon arrival, Kathy, the manager, showed us to the unit and gave us a tour. There was a gift basket with fresh fruit, coffee, tea and waters - a pleasant surprise after a day of travel. The very best feature of the unit is the close proximity to the beach and pool - literally steps away. The Kitchen was well equipped - maybe a little small for doing a lot of cooking for a group, but it was fine for our needs - mostly just breakfast and afternoon snacks. We opted to cook in one evening (grilled tuna) using one of several available gas grills. Overall we found food and alcohol prices high on the island. Thankfully, we purchased some liquor at the duty free shop in the Atlanta airport. The decor was nice and beachy, and the view out the front window was amazing (cruise ships arriving in the morning and beautiful sunsets in the evenings). Plenty of bath towels and beach towels were provided. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available, as well as chairs and umbrellas around the pool. The pool and grounds were clean and well-kept. And having maid service every other day was an added bonus. Because there were six of us, our beach, fishing and snorkeling paraphernalia tended to occupy most of the porch area, so we did our outside lounging around the pool at one of the covered tables. Snorkeling directly in front was great. The shore was a little rocky immediately in front of the condos, so water shoes are helpful. But a short walk to down the beach made for an easier sandy entry. If you don't have a car, there are several restaurants in walking distance. I recommend the wood-fired pizza at XQ's. Peppers was also good. Cassanova's (short drive to Georgetown) had a great waterfront location, and the Italian food was excellent. Our celebratory dinner was at Deckers - a short drive north - and it was fantastic. We did a wonderful snorkeling excursion with Ambassador Divers (right across from the parking lot) to Stingray City and Coral Gardens (the best!). I could have been content without a car, but since we had one (and someone else was driving), we also drove up to Rum Point and Starfish Point one day. Overall, we had a great experience with this unit and the Tamarind Bay location.

The condo is bigger and roomier than what the photos show. The photos and description are honest and correct. A real treat to walk out the screen door to the pool deck area and only a few steps to the beach. Maid service every other day with fresh towels and cleaning. Office staff were very helpful. Several bar / restaurants within walking distance. It rained for an hour one day so we would have something to complain about. Just a great place for a beach stay.

We spent 9 days in the condo with 2 other couples and everyone had a great time. The 10 steps to the pool and 20 steps to the beach from the screen porch are priceless. The staff at Tamarind Bay were great and very helpful. The condo and furnishings are in great shape and well cared for. We ate most of our dinners at the condo on the screen porch using the kitchen and available outdoor gas grills. The screen porch was needed in the early evening for the hour or so that the bugs were out. Easy walking distance to several good restaurants and watering holes. The snorkeling right off the beach was fantastic. We are already busy planning a trip back next year.

This was our second stay in this unit. Everything in my review from August of 2013 below still applies. The unit and it's contents are in excellent condition. The owner and the Tamarind Bay staff were both a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

This place was so homey that we felt like we lived there within minutes of arriving. We spent a lot of time just relaxing in lanai with coffee in the AM or drinks as the day went on. View was amazing. Sun set directly in front of us. Great view of cruise ships coming in & out of Georgetown. Also spent a lot of time in the ocean....a few steps away or in the pool....also a few steps away. Great place for long beach walks. Had dinner outside a few evenings after grilling fish or burgers on the Weber grill. If not outside to eat, we were in lanai. Condo had everything you might need including games etc. Coconut Joe's is directly across the road if you want a quick meal closely. Breakfast was great there as well. Lots of other restaurants close by. Would happily spend another week in this little piece of paradise.

We came to Cayman for our Christmas present to each other. There were 7 adults and 2 kids. Even with that many, we never felt overly cramped. We had a blast there! The kids and grandma really enjoyed the pool and making sand castles on the beach out front. The condo was gorgeous and well-appointed. We loved the cayman-style decorations. We enjoyed diving with Mark at Absolute Divers. We also had fun snorkeling and just relaxing. The kitchen had all the utensils necessary to cook whatever you wanted. We didn't really end up cooking anything though. :D The maids were great and always took care of us. The little washer and dryer were much appreciated as well. Thanks guys! Job well done. We may have to book another vacation soon. Can't Wait!
