Great house and Owner. Enjoyed the stay

I'm hesitant to write an honest review because I want to keep this place a secret so it's available whenever we need it! The place is larger than the photos make it appear. Kitchen had just about everything we needed. There were plenty of towels, pillows, blankets and so on. Great view and perfect set up for us. You won't be disappointed. This place is worth every penny and Matthew is a great host!

It was just what we needed relaxing and great fishing.

Great location, close to the beach access and lots of cute local restaurants but also a short drive to Galveston. The house is as described and very well stocked with towels/kitchen supplies. Communication with owner was very prompt and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Was a nice trip

Enjoyed staying at Matt's place. The view from living room is wonderful. Had everything we needed stocked in the house. Loved using the kayaks in the canals!

Perfect location to get away and enjoy sea breezes, and quiet. We’re already planning on a return trip. Kayaks provided for paddling the canals, decent fishing from the bulkhead for this time of year, JB pool is a nice break from canal swims. Renting a golf cart is the way to for getting around the community: restaurants, convenience stores, food truck, community pool, and crossing 3005 to the beach. Matt (host) is readily available and was in communication throughout our visit as needed.

The home was as advertised, very comfortable for our family of 4 with a great view and location in Jamaica Beach. Weather conditions made fishing out back a challenge but we did catch some crabs. Matt was very responsive when we had questions. Overall, positive experience.

My family had an excellent time at this property. Our 2 girls had a great time fishing, kayaking and swimming. House was great all around!

We enjoyed out time at this home. It was perfect for my wife and I and for the long weekend getaway. Fishing was a bit slow along the canal due to the record heat, but overall we enjoyed out time there. Would definitely recommend that anyone planning to fish, bring your own shade and pole holders as there is no dock or covering near the water. This wasn't an issue for us as we were prepared for it with an EZ-up and some beach umbrellas.

This was our first time staying in Jamaica Beach and on a house on a canal. It was awesome. The house was a good fit for my family of four and was in a quiet area of the neighborhood. The fishing behind the house on the canal was great and the house had everything in it you would need. Also, the house was only a short drive to beach access. We really enjoyed it, would stay there again, and would recommend it for a small family.

Personally, I rely on reviews when choosing where to stay, so I will be completely honest in leaving mine. The home is incredible amd exactly as described. The rooms and furniture are very comfortable and the views really are stunning. The Kayaks were great. The kitchen and bathroom had everything you could ever need. Prior guests even left us ice cream treats and popsicles in the freezer, so we paid it forward by leaving drinks, fishing nets, shampoo, etc. for future guests to enjoy. Matt was extremely helpful and a very gracious host. The canals are wonderful and the surrounding salt marshes are extraordinary! The wildlife was incredible. Also, the home is located just West of Galveston Island State Park; only a few minutes drive away. We love Galveston Island, but I can't recommend staying at Jamaica Beach enough. It's a quiet community that welcomes everyone with neighborly charm. You can still enjoy all that Galveston Island has to offer, but can also come "home" very night to peaceful serenity. My experience was a 10 out of 10, all the way around. A huge "thank you" to Matt. We hope to visit again.

This will be the third time we stayed in this canal neighborhood in Jamaica Beach, different house each time. We love the area, everything is a close drive and you can rent a golf cart and drive that everywhere as well. The house was super clean and stocked with everything you need! I loved the decor, especially the upholstery on the chairs and tv cabinet, that was really cool. We caught a few catfish and sat outside on the nice outdoor furniture. My 13 year old son loved the kayaks! Overall great stay and great price too!

Very good location close to the beach and just out of town. Very clean and comfortable rental.

The owner () communicated through the booking process and was always responsive. The home was clean and ready for us on arrival. It has great view of the canal and a short drive to the beach. Everything you need for a short or long vacation i.e. pans, pots, utensils, towels were all clean and accessible. Would stay again on our next visit to Galveston.

This was a great house with lots of comfortable amenities. Nice outdoor area too. Matt was very communicative and helpful. would recommend for sure!

This was a nice, cozy property on the canal. The only problem was the cold, frigid weather that stopped us from enjoying the trip and using the properties equipment, sitting outside, using the BBQ. But all in all, we enjoyed the home, and Matt, the owner, was awesome. We would definitely go there again when visiting. Thank you

Beautiful place we did quite a bit of fishing while we were here and caught red fish, sheepshead, and trout. house had everything we needed to be able to cook a full thanksgiving dinner. they even provided toothbrushes for everyone! Will definitely stay here again.

The pictures looked along nicer than the cabin .

My family of four stayed here for an extended weekend and it was perfect. My husband is a big fisher, so it was great to be able to fish right off the back yard area. There was plenty of room for all of us to hang out. The beds are comfortable and it’s really nice having a smart TV in every room. Check in and out was extremely easy and stress free. Matt was a great host and we will recommend this property to all of our friends and family.

This was the perfect little place for a weekend getaway. It was stocked with many essentials for the stay. It was comfortable and the view was nice. The host was incredible and kept in cotact.

Excellent location and the host is very accommodating

The property was the perfect size for four adults. We had only one couple. It was right by the canal so we could fish late. There was also plenty of communication without the need to go face to face. Everything you could possibly need was provided in the kitchen & bath area. Thank you for a good stay!

Can’t beat the price for these accommodations. We where looking for bay side water access (kid friendly fishing) with short drive to the beach, (golf cart distance, we brang our own,) and that’s exactly what we got.
