Very good stay, amazing shower pressure. Was perfect for our needs.

We enjoyed our stay.
It’s an older property but clean, tidy and comfortable. We easily found everything we needed. The location is great.
Check in and communication was super quick and easy. One of our kids left his soft toy behind and the hosts were super quick in letting us know and arranging his return.
We would definitely stay again.

We booked this based on reviews and the advert and were disappointed.
It’s advertised as a private house but it has a tenanted apartment underneath which shares the driveway and the deck overlooks their front yard and clothesline. We found this out in the check-in email.
Outdoor furniture was broken and unsafe, no shade, no dining table indoors or outdoors. Nowhere to eat together apart from breakfast bar. Shower was mouldy and old, not executive as advertised.
Advert says 5-10 mins walk to CBD, but it’s actually a 20-30 min walk or a 5 min drive.
Good kitchen and linen.
We provided this feedback to owner who was appreciative, however the advert has still not been updated.
If looking to stay here suggest asking questions to the owners to make sure it matches expectations. If we’d been aware of these things, it’s unlikely we would have stayed there.

We enjoyed our family vacation at Carver Heights. Great communication and support from the property manager, and the place was clean, tidy and well appointed. Super easy access to the city centre yet quiet and relaxed with lovely views.

We had 4 nights in New Plymouth with 7 adults. This property was perfect as there were plenty of beds and heaps of room. We were only a few minutes drive from the city centre, supermarkets, and some great attractions such as Parekura Park and Paritutu Rock. Communication from the property manager was great and we had no issues at all with our stay.

Great spot to rest up & use as a base to explore the many delights of New Plymouth & Taranaki. Hadn't been ti New Plymouth for 40 odd years & were very pleasantly surprised.

We found three lights were not working in the lounge. I was looking for my iPad on the settee in the lounge and moved one of the big cushions only to find food particles!

Nice clean home with lots of space to spread out and a separate chill out room for the kids. A dinner table would have been nice though so we could eat as a family, seemed a bit strange not to have one as there is room.

Gathering for family memorial.
We all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home that fitted all our requirements as we were a big group with a wide age range. Lovely setting - shame we couldn't the outdoors more as it was a bit wet during our stay. Children loved the toy box - that was a real bonus. Appreciated everything that was new, clean and well looked after. Thank you for helping our stay in New Plymouth for a sad reason actually be an enjoyable one.

Beds were comforty and professionally laundered bedding and towels.
Kitchen had everything we needed, two fridges and a freezer are useful.

Just what we needed
This was a perfect spot for my family to stay for our long weekend in New Plymouth. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Good location with only a short drive to the central city. We enjoyed exploring the area and especially the Coastal Walkway and Mt Taranaki. Thank you Hoana for organising someone to come to our rescue so we could get the television working for the rugby. Great weekend!
