Very comfortable bed and seating area. Nicely furnished.

The walk through the garden to the accommodation was wet and muddy with no paved path. The summerhouse was situated a long way from the parking area to carry luggage. The parking area was also full of dog mess and you had to be careful where you walked. The kitchen facilities were completely inadequate with only a plastic washing up bowl provided, no kitchen sink or proper food preparation area. The only tiny sink was in shower room/toilet which was too small even to get the kettle under. The shower room smelt of damp. The road was directly behind the Summerhouse and was very noisy. It was also cold with only 1 heater. The accommodation would be extremely cold in the winter.

What a great find, perfect place for a short break with the dog! The host couldn't have been more welcoming, so lovely and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Room is really spacious with everything you need and garden is completely enclosed so no need to worry about dogs escaping. Location is great - some lovely walks and pubs nearby and only a short drive to Lymington and nearby beachfront towns. Thank you for having us, I'm sure we'll be back!

Location was great. Beautiful walks within 15 minutes from property.Host really helpful. Nice touches like leaving milk, bread and wine for me.Also provided an extra duvet on request as it was quite cold until heating was cranked up.

The WiFi was down but wasn't aware of this until I asked about connection problem.Apparently it had been a problem for a couple of days. It would have been helpful to know about this beforehand . As a solo traveller, having no WiFi meant I was limited as to what to watch in the 2 evenings I was there. I booked the property on basis of there being WiFi but I made do. In summer this would not have been a problem.

Had a lovely two night stay at the summer house with my husband and our dog. Host was very friendly and welcoming and the bread, milk and wine was a lovely touch. The summer house was lovely presented and a good size for us, the dog and our bikes. We enjoyed being so close to cycle routes and had a lovely time exploring the forest. Would love to return for another stay

Only thing I could think of would be maybe a sink to wash up in and this was a bit difficult

Felt nice and cosy and had all the facilities you would need when staying away. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The location was good only a 15 min drive to the centre of lymington. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely bang on , but we came for a quite break and couldn’t even chill and watch tv it didn’t work other then that was really nice

Very friendly and helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble. The summerhouse was lovely. They had supplied us with bread, milk,butter and wine. A lovely welcoming touch. Highly recommend.

Great Place to stay the garden has lots of space for the dog to run around . The house is very cosy and clean . The family are lovely people and very helpful . Its a fantastic location with most things within 15 drive away . The shops are very near which is very handy . The facilities were great everything supplied eg. Heater ,fan ,kettle ,TV ,wifi, hair dryer, microwave , toaster everything we needed and more like wine ,bread, toiletries, sofa bed etc.

My mum and myself booked the Matford Cottage Summerhouse, it’s a lovely location and inside the summerhouse was spotless. The set up and décor was lovely and modern. A few cute pubs around and very close to Mudeford and into Lymington. Their dogs were friendly with mine so that was good

When we arrived, albeit we were half an hour early , there was their dog’s poo in our end of the garden, the grass had not been mowed, the seated area was untidy and not the right way up for usage and the garden divider was not set up either. The bed was very low and anyone who struggles with movement would have issues. The Wifi was very intermittent. We had asked for bedding for the sofa bed and it took nearly 2 days for it to be brought over and the sheet was still damp. It was a very disappointing compared to the beautiful photos on Booking.com but to top off our bad experience we found that the families guinea pig was left with 2 empty water bottles, no food, or sunlight due to have a roof, plastic sheeting and plastic over the top of its house. We checked on it daily and still no dry food was provided and the water bottle kept falling off the stand which we mentioned but the owner didn’t seem too bothered. The general attitude of the owners was negative and we were made to feel as if we were at fault. We left a day early as we felt uncomfortable and were not happy to stay any longer. I wouldn’t recommend staying there even if it was free.

everything! host was excellent and brilliant property

location and facilities were superb. wonderful outdoor space, perfect for travelling with a pet. parking very useful! very private despite being in a garden. There is a screen separating the garden areas which is great for privacy.

unfortunately we had a very stormy night and the sound insulation wasn’t great which led to a very disturbed night. noise from the road also took a bit of getting used to. found quite a few ants inside.

Good facilities for a base during a short stay. A bit more workspace around the microwave and kettle area and a shelf in the bathroom for our spongebags would have been useful, though we managed!

Easy access to the coast and into Lymington. The Summerhouse is charming and quirky, and the garden is secure for dogs. Comfortable bed and cosy duvet. Very pleasant owner and family, and they have two adorable chocolate Labradors!

The bed is very low, so if you have a bad back, you may struggle a bit getting up. Gets really quite chilly at night so get that heating on as early as you can. Others have mentioned the size of the only sink, but we worked around it, and the road noise early morning could be intrusive if you enjoy late lie ins!

Liked every thing about it, John and Georgia were very welcoming and pleasant. Very nice interior of the modern summer house.

The only thing I didn't like was the room doesn't warm up and when using the shower facilities the water had weak pressure.
