It is a wonderful little guesthouse really nearby the city- centre! You have a nice cozy room, can sit on the veranda and look over the city hills. For a place in a town really beautiful! The owner is a welcoming, friendly and helpful person, who helps out when needed or gives you personal space if your looking for some! I felt at home there, the host very nice, friendly and caring, the possibility of transportation via tuk tuk... I recommend, the best ride in Sri Lanka, the breakfast was also really good ...

Great vibe here and close to the tooth temple and Sappu, the host, knows the town and if you need he can get you anywhere with his tuktuk ! If you Need to rest you can be on your own if you want to share moments with him or with friends you will enjoy for sure.

You come to this place and will be welcomed by Shapur. He is an amazing host and human being. He try every to make you feel home. Peace and love

It’s a bit outside of Kandy city center but Shapur is happy to drive you anywhere in his reggae tuk tuk

The room itself is good, it was clean and tidy. But a shared place which you could see on the picture 10 out of 29 looked completely different. There was a bunch of empty bottles and lots of different stuff on a table, that area definitely asks for some cleaning. Walking distance to the city center is 15-20 mins, hot shower is available. The building is located on a main road, but the rooms are quiet.

I really enjoyed my stay. Sappu has a really kind heart and made my stay in Kandy very special.

I booked the hotel but they claimed that it is only for foreigners. This is really a shame. And also according to my knowledge the area this hotel located is not a safe place. And there are number of criminals around the area. So don't recommend.

Nice spacious room. The owner is a very nice and kind guy, willing to help you out and make you feel comfortable. You mostly stay at his guesthouse for the experience, it's quite different from the rest of the places.

The owner was super nice and the best host during our stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the toilet super clean. Breakfast was tasty and good value, we definitely recommend this place for your stay in Kandy. Even though it is close to the street, it was not noisy at all. Thank you for the nice experience :)

The best thing was the incredible host. He was always happy to help and taking us to the best places in kandy with no extra charge. Also the breakfast was huge and delicious! 100% recommend to anyone!

Saphu, the owner, is one of the coolest guy we’ve ever met in Sri Lanka. Picked us from bus station and served tea. Gave us a trip to Ambuluwawa tower which was great, Lake and Buddha statue for an affordable price. Also gave us a free drive to train station with his tuktuk.

BEST HOSTESSES EVERRRR! If I can take them along all over Sri Lanka I would, extremely elpful people and honest, took us for a tour and to kandy market with lowest prices in the market. The place was cozy, felt at home, loved it.

Sappu is a very welcoming person with good hearth so staying at his place was a pleasant experience for a good price. The location is also very good, close to train station and city center. We had a perfect stay. Thank you.

This a real homestay experience. Where you get to meet Sapu and his family. The room is confortable, and very close to the train station. The host is super friendly, happy to drive you around in his Tuk-Tuk, and extremely helpful.

The road is very busy

Helpful host will make sure you have everything you need. He also has a tuk, so you don't have to wait for pickme. The bed is quite big, and there's a remote from the fan. Water heater works, clean towels are provided. 3 sockets in the room. Bedsheets are clean. Everything that can be cleaned is clean.

Building is probably old, so there's some moisture on one of the walls, looks not good. Location is far from the center (walkable distance though)

Sappu is such a good person as a host eventually he becomes friend

Sapu gave us a warm welcome, his motto: 'mi casa es su casa', very clean room and bathroom. He showed us great dinner spots with his TukTuk while driving us around. Great guy, who never stops smiling. His uncle Thomas showed us the Kandy market, traditional breakfast where to buy good (non touristic) souvenirs. We finished our stay by drinking a bottle of Arrack (Sri Lankan, coconut based liquor) and eating some pepper and salt papaya and mango on the side. As you can read we had a great time in the Kandy My Homestay with Thomas and Supa! Thank you for an amazing 2 days of Kandy and take care!

None, our stay couldn't be better!

It's exactly what you can expect from a guest house. Sappu is very nice and helped us for everything we needed/asked. You really feel at home, bed is comfortable, the price is low. 20 minutes by walk from the historical center, a bit less from the local market. You can find food and drinks easily around. Despite the fact the house is on a big road, the rooms are at the back so it's not a problem at all to sleep. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Nice and clean accomodation, great owner. Sappu is kind and friendly guy, who did everything we want. He was there for us for 100% during our stay. He took us around the city with his tuktuk. Breakfast was also delicious. It was great time with Sappu. 100% recomendation for this place.

Saapu was the most exceptional host. Nothing too much trouble. We went as guests and returned again as friends. My Homestay is Authentic Sri Lankan homestay. Saapu has one of the biggest and kindest hearts of anyone I have had the priviledge of meeting. I look forward to seeing him again.
