Fantastic hotel and run brilliantly. The staff helped me with my tour and a shuttle bus to el tunco. Great location clean rooms and very well maintained hotel. Definitely the place to stay while your in Santa Ana

By main road, gets loud. Decent but small breakfast.

Bathroom smelt a little but could shut door so didn’t effect room.

Friendly staff (David at front desk is great), comfy bed, nice roof seating area, water refills, beer or sodas, fantastic "tipico" breakfast. Room was simple but comfortable. Location was good; maybe 10min walk to the historic center main plaza/national theatre & several pupuserias less than 1/2mi from hotel. Yes there is some street noise but I sleep with earplugs so not a problem. Overall a good value & I would definitely stay here again.

Sadly I only stayed one night :( I was confused by the electric shower head & didn't have hair dryer bit those are minor & I would still recommend Velvet if you want to stay in Santa Ana.

A great stay in Santa Ana in a hostel that felt exceptionally safe. The walk to Santa Ana main square is about 5-10 minutes.

The rooms were a little small but it wasn't a problem. We liked our stay here.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, breakfast in the morning was delicious, the room was pretty nice and tidy, bed was very comfy. And the decoration is beautiful! We’d definitely stay here again in the future.

Lovely and helpful staff and owner. We arrived early for check-in and could wait with a nice cup of coffee. They then got our room ready as quickly as possible. Breakfast was really tasty, too. Definitely recommend staying here when visiting Santa Ana! We used it as our base for day trips (e.g. Ruta de las Flores)

I love the art that adorns Velvet Hostal. The designer and creator of the art that hangs in Velvet Hostal, Elias Nieto Ferrero, is a genius in my humble opinion. Reason enough to stay at Velvet Hostal.

This establishment is operated at an extremely high level. Every single thing is managed with the utmost of professionalism. Shaping and creating an unforgettable experience for each guest. To say Velvet Hotel is esthetically pleasing is an understatement. Its overwhelmingly beautiful. More like living in an art gallery for a short while. Which it is, and the breakfast served, art as well.

There is absolutely nothing to to complain about concerning Velvet Hotel, not one thing.

it was outstanding how Juan-Carlos and his team were caring so much about their guests. Never seen that before in my life. If you want to have amazing breakfast and a very relaxing stay for a very good price. That's the one and only place to go. Got it recommended by a friend and I really recommend it now to anyone else!

Great staff. Awesome breakfast. This was something beyond any expectation. Creative. Nester took us for a beer tour to the local brewery and than showed us local pubs and bars. Something you really want to experience.

Rooms are missing any windows, which is ok as long as you have no rain and can spend whole day exploring. Increased humidity in rooms.

Staff was very attentive. Hot water and AC were very nice. Property was kept clean and it felt secure.

Only downfall was no parking lot for the hostal.

We’ve loved the place so much. This was the best accomodation in three months travelling. The room was clean and big, the bed was soooo good and they had huge soft towels. There was an opportunity to have a warm shower. The hotel is very close to the center. There was a nice kitchen which you can use if you want to cook. Every day there was a good breakfast. But the best thing was the staff, they were the friendliest people ever! They helped with everything we needed. They have great tips, arrange tours but also advice you with busses. They also arranged a nice tour to a brewery with some people from the hostel, it was very nice and social! It was my boyfriends birthday during our stay and they decorated our room so beautiful. They even arranged gluten free cake. I would highly recommend this place if you stay in Santa Ana, this hotel made our time unforgettable!!

I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed my stay there. All the staff were amazing and super friendly. Nice breakfast served in the morning. Close to the city centre. Warm water in the shower. Recommended for a stay in Santa Ana.

Everything was perfect.

Reasonable location with walking distance to centre and buses for the volcano and ruta de la flores. Good breakfast, cheap car rental available (not advertised, but if you ask for it). Cafes around and also has self-service kitchen. Super friendly attentive and patient staff.
