Had a great time celebrating our daughter’s HS graduation! Our family loved the volleyball court and all the local beaches. The cook your catch at the Blue Water Grill and Bar was convenient and absolutely delicious!

Everything was great. I didn’t realize it was on the third flour. That is a consideration for old people.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the amenities. A few minor things that will make the experience a little better for the next guest. The faucet handels for the master bathroom do not have a natural closing position. You can turn past stop and it comes right back on. The light to the dinning room fan would not come on. The remote controled the fan well enough but the light would never come on. Lastly the dishwasher was is extremely hard to close enough for operation of the machine. These were only minor inconveniences and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The property has many communal amenities such as a pool and hot tub and a restaurant in walking distance, it’s central to both Manteo and Nags Head, in particular. We enjoyed our time and the place was very clean.

We had such a wonderful time in Mr. Whitehead's condo. It was exactly as described. We stayed in Pirates Cove last year for the first time but at a different location. The access to the pool and tennis courts were literally right out the door. The condo itself had everything we needed. It was spotless and truly felt like our second home for the week. We loved sitting on the deck at night. Pirates Cove itself is amazingly clean and everyone is so friendly. If you're considering a place to stay, you can't go wrong with this condo. Thank you Brian!

The condo is comfortable for our group of 4 adults and 1 eleven year old boy. We were not disappointed. Amenities were great for all ages, but not for people with mobility issues. The elevator in the condo location is out of order as well as the one in the BlueWater Grill. Many steps to climb. Food and service in the Grill is excellent. Make dinner reservations one day before.

Great Pool and tennis available right next to unit. Amazing restaurant on the property. Owner was great to work with and responded any time we had a question or was looking for a place to eat or shop. Really enjoyed and would stay again.

Need to update check-in info to include check in with security guard. Love the updates to include pillows, blankets & towels. (I overpacked as initial confirmation said to bring them). It was cold so I was glad we brought extra blankets & extra kitchen towels was needed. No grill on deck as listed in description, not sure if green egg in parking area was for this unit. Pool & hot tub were not open yet (as somewhat expected) but was a bummer. Also, not the homeowners issue but live music until 2 AM from Tiki Bar night before Easter was insanely loud. Overall- super clean, great rental with easy access to Roanoke Island, with option to head south to Hatteras or north to Nags Head.

My husband and I decided to take a short time off on the Monday and I found this place for two of us from Wed. Brian was very responsive and provided thorough instructions. We have stayed in Pirate's Cove several time with a bigger group in the past, love the community. The condo has two stories, probably recently remodeled, we had a very relaxing time, my husband even caught a 5lbs bass! Cooking utensils are just about right for 2-4 people, love the sink in the kitchen, wish I had that big one bowl sink in my house. Will definitely want to come back.

Proximity to Manteo downtown and mid OBX was ideal. Had a great time and would stay here again!

This was a perfect spot especially with kids! Pool, playground, rec room, bar and restaurant all in a short walking distance! Also the access to the canal made for a beautiful walk to the Sound! Enjoyed being up high because we didn't have to worry about mosquitoes and was able to enjoy sitting on the deck at night, not to mention the nightly sunset views! The condo had everything we needed, the booking and check in process was a breeze. The place was spacious and well maintained-you can tell the owner cares about his property not only by the decor, but by the quality of mattresses, furniture, flooring, and appliances. Great place and would definitely book this property again!

This was the first time I have gone through VRBO and it was relatively simple. The owner was patient with me as I navigated through the process. The condo was nice, however, there things that needs to be an updated in the description of the condo. For example, it was listed that there was a grill on the deck, but there was no grill. Also, the description of the condo stated that it was three bedrooms; there were two nice size bedrooms but the third room was very tiny with bunk beds. It was difficult to get in and out of the “room.” Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

Very up to date condo. Loved the location within the Pirates Cove community. Right next to the tennis courts and pool. Easy walk to the Blue Water Grill. Nice little wooded area behind condo to walk the dogs. Many things to do within a very short drive. The inside of condo was modern and beach themed. The owner always responded very quick to any text inquiries. Check in was a breeze as well as check out. I would definitely rebook this condo if I was to return to OBX

We had an amazing stay in Pirates Cove! Such a great location, family and pet friendly. The condo was in view of the playground, tennis courts, and pool which allowed my big kids to have some freedom while we were still able to keep watch. Unit was very clean upon arrival and had all the amenities of home. Owner was very responsive when we contacted with questions. Location was accessible to everything you need in just a short drive! Highly recommend!

This property exceeded our expectations on a beach getaway to the Outer Banks. As first time visitors we were unsure what to expect. The proximity to pleasant beaches that were not overcrowded was exactly as described (5 minutes or less). Also, all the interior appointments were newer or upgraded since the photos were taken. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be staying here again.

Our experience was fabulous, Mr Brian was always reachable and nice for any help. Location of property was another great advantage as nearest attractions were quite near.

Upon arrival there was a truck parked in the parking space that was indicated as being assigned to the property. NO big deal since there were other spaces open and it wasn't a peak weekend. We head upstairs to the unit.. not a penthouse BTW that is absolutely creative marketing at its finest. We arrived late at night so we were ready to turn in for the night, there was a trash bag on the bed with all of the linens... so we made the bed. The comforter was in the closet, pulled it out to put on the bed and put it right back where I found it because it is stained and smelled awful. Who knows when the last time that was washed... and I'm sure it wasn't COVID sanitized. So that left us sleeping with just a sheet but hey we improvised and used beach towels. I slept in the down stairs Master Bedroom and about 2 am I woke up to water dripping on my forehead, well there's an AC vent right above the bed and it drips all night long, and it dripped every night the entire time.

As relaxing as we hoped. Mr. Wiggles was a special loving addition. First time we ever brought the dog on vaca!

This was the perfect place for my family with two young children. Close to the beaches of the Outer Banks, and even better to be able to walk to the Pirates Cove pool. I would stay here again.
