A car rental is a must unless you are not planning on leaving the house. This property is in a great part of Nassau (Cable Beach) where my wife and 20 yr old daughter were able to walk the neighborhood without worry. We travelled by car to all the popular beaches and never had trouble finding parking. We packed our own tent for shade on beach, and two collapsable high back beach chairs since this property doesnt have that amenity. Hand and dish soap was there, some toilet paper… In summary, it was a great deal (for what you pay, this was perfect)!

It was very nice

It was spacious and quiet in a nice resendential area of cable beach. The photos do not show that the kitchen cupboards are relatively empty. No essentials for a week's stay. Had to buy coffee filters, paper towels, kitchen scissors, ice cube trays and 2 cheap wine glasses that cost me the price of fine crystal. No blender, measuring cup or spoons. The bed linens need to be thrown out and so do the mattress covers. Bed linens while an attractive colour were sleezy poleyester and slid all over the plastic mattress cover. There was also only a comforter on the bed not a light quilt which would be suitable in a tropical climate. The main bathroom downstairs only had 1/2 roll of TP and no spare for a week really?!! The pool looks nice in the photos but no privacy from street. Would have been nice to have a small cooler (we brought our own) and definately beach chairs and we definately have to drive to the beach. A couple of lounge chairs at the pool would have been welcome also since we were not close to a beach. AND DEFINATELY A BETTER CLEANING STAFF. THE STOVE WAS DISGUSTING AND THE FLOORS WERE DIRTY. Took our shoes off as we came in the door and within hours the bottoms were black. This place has lots of potential if just a few $$'s were spent to make it worthy of a VRBO vacation rental. The townhome needs a Thorough cleaning. I read the previous reviews and I figured the owner would have made adjustments due to the different reviews of the home. Once we check in we were going to check out and rent a hotel however all of the hotels were booked and the ones that were available were two stars and charging over 5k for the weekend. The kitchen had little roaches which was weird to me because there was no food in the kitchen. We saw it on the first night that we were there. The same worn out food stain plastic dishes were still there we didn’t eat out of it. Let’s start with the pictures, the pictures on a listing is not the pictures of the home. There is three set of townhomes back to back and those pictures are maybe pictures of those townhomes but it’s not the pictures of the one that we rented. The painting of the were different, we rented were blue walls and a furniture were completely different the pictures on the wall will completely different as well. The upstairs bedroom was different also. The downstairs TV did not work, the townhome was very dusty the light fixtures had tons of dust on it literally tons you can wipe it with your finger. The upstairs bathroom was not clean, the shower upstairs clearly was not clean full of mold and the sink was disgusting, the handles were corroded And there were stool stains inside of the toilet . We didn’t use that bathroom at all ,we all (4) of us used the downstairs bathroom which was a little better as far as the shower and toilet goes. The same thing downstairs with the sink handles being corroded. The bedding was truly horrible there was a store right before the townhome on the main road we went and got sheets there and covered the bed, the towels were very hard and overused ,they had lint balls over them. The pool was probably the only clean thing there. The only reason we didn’t complain while we were there because we were in a different country and we wanted to protect our kids. However the owner needs to fully clean this town home . Thankfully the weekend that we were there we were out mostly the whole day and only came back to bathe and sleep and out again. I would not rent from this dion again. I took pictures of everything as well

There wasn't a sponge to clean dishes. There wasn't a chopping board. Found hair balls in bathroom. Very weathered faucets. And no paper towels. Afraidd to sit on the sofas due to their moldy looks. No shampoo, shower gel or bar soap for shower.

It was a community pool, that was completely open to the road, and for use by all the tennants next door. As a result, we chose to go to the beach, we did not use the pool at all. Overall, the location was safe and we were comfortable.

This property was immaculately clean and comfortable. We especially liked the fact that the unit was a "stand-alone". Everything we needed to feel at home was there. All of the equipment and utilities were in working order. Overall, we were very impressed with the property.

Great accommodation and location. We settled on this location because of all the wonderful reviews of the host, Dion. He exceeded our expectations. He picked us up at the marina, drove us around and showed us different places and even stopped at the rum cake factory so our daughter could buy one! His recommendations for food were spot on and the rental car made it very convenient for us to get out and about and explore (although not necessary as a lot of places are within walking distance and we saw lots of public buses). We did spend some quite time and around the pool which was a nice touch as well.

Great access to the island, especially if you rent a car.

Dion was amazing! Picked us and all of our luggage up from the airport. He had a list of fun things to go and do! We had an extra guest one night and it was no problem at all! He popped in one evening to check on us ( he lives next door) the pool looked nice but it was too cold for me to get in plus we were to busy! The location was close to everything you needed! His wife took us back to the airport and she was very sweet too! Thank You Dion!!!!

The hose is located at the end of a dead end street in a very good residential neighborhood with little to no traffic. The furniture was comfortable and and the place was roomy. Though i did not partake - the new pool is a very nice feature.

It started before we even saw the property when Dion's wife waited 2 hours for us to go through customs to pick us up from the hotel. Then, Dion was available for our multiple questions and renting his car was very useful as you will need a vehicle to do anything. He even agreed to take us to Atlantis instead of back to the airport when we left.

We had a great and relaxing time here. The beach was a close 15 min walk (wasn’t bad with 6 & 9 year old) and it was completely worth it. Quiet and beautiful shells and sea glass made for fun with kids. Many great restaurants around (Twisted Lime was a favourite) and thankfully Dion took a few minutes to drive us around and let us know the lay of the land. Otherwise we may not have known the best beach/food stops! Would definitely recommend

Nice house close to beach! Owner very helpful!

We had a fantastic time in Nassau, so much to see and do. Our hosts Dion and Indy were a wealth of local knowledge for places to eat and tips on excursions. The kids spent almost 24/7 in the pool. Other highlights were Jaws Beach, Stuart Cove for snorkling, crack conch, the Bahamas Rum Cake Factory and Louis & Stern for coffee, beignets and that view. Highly recommend hiring the car that comes with the property - makes for a much easier to explore.

Rented this home for my stay in the Bahamas prior to a sailing trip. Dion picked us up from the airport and being able to rent his car was a huge bonus. I cannot say enough nice things about Dion. He is absolutely the best host I have ever encountered. We were even able to rent his car after the sailing trip even though we did not rent the house. (We had reservations at a resort for the end of our trip.). Dion even paid me the deposit within 3 days after the end of the rental (without me having to request it) - First time that has ever happened. Home is in a great area and convenient to downtown, grocery store and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage on Yorkshire Street. The location was great it was very quiet and close enough to get around in our rental car. The owner was very responsive and hospitable. We were able to relax and spread our more than it we had stayed in a hotel. We used the kitchen to eat breakfast and snacks mostly and dined our each evening. Lots of great options. We were able to explore some of the off the grid parks and beaches. We spent one day with a beach pass at the Breezes Resort it was very decent. Only suggestion: look into the water pressure on the first floor bathroom the shower was not usable due to this so we used the upstairs shower - and there was 1 small beach chair provided we never did find a store to purchase a second one as well as a small beach umbrella - this would have been a nice touch. Overall, excellent experience!

Dion is very accommodating. This is the second time staying here. The place is always clean and the new addition of the pool is wonderful. Anytime we had questions, Dion was always available to answer them. We will be back!

The house was comfortable and safe. It was easy access to stores and restaurants. The host was friendly, informative, and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to my family and friends.

The villa is in a great location in the cable beach area. Two grocery stores nearby, Quite a few dinning options are a short drive or even within walking distance. Sandyport resort is a short drive away with even more dining options. There is even a full size gym in the Sandyport area. Starbucks is a short drive away. We could not have chosen a better location. Dion picked us at the airport and was attentive to all our needs. He gave great advice on what options we had for shopping and dining.. The vehicle we rented from him was efficient and the AC worked well in the car. It came in very handy for our trip. When he said call him with any concerns he meant it. Great host!

We cannot say enough about Dion's hospitality. From the time we booked until leaving, we received five star treatment. He knows so much about Nassau, its history and all of the great spots to eat and beach. Every place he recommended was right on point. Everything you need in a vacation home is available here....including the rental car! The house is close to all, but you still need a car to see all that this island has to offer. The bus service is limited and there is no actual schedule for the bus to stop. They come when they come. Lol. You will save money by taking advantage of Dion's rental car. He will even pick you up from airport and drop you off! That alone saves on taxi fare from airport which will cost $50 each way. We loved our stay in Cable Beach.

The house is nice, just hard to find the first time. Dion was easy to get hold and answered questions. I asked him if he could have some water bottles for us due to our flight getting in late. There was six bottles of water in the fridge and a few snacks on the table. The house sit about four blocks off of Bay st. and the #10 bus ($1.25 a person) will take you down to Fish Fry or Downtown. As for the house: The beds are firm, wasn't ready for that but slept well. Good size kitchen and two bathrooms. The up stairs bathroom shower is smaller but works. The washer and dryer (bring your own laundry soap and dryer sheets) work great, just in a tight area under the steps. There is two grocery stores with then walk distance (6-7 blocks). The pool is very nice and not salt water :). The A/C worked very well and kept the house cool for us. My family had a great vacation staying at this property.
