Superior unit at Pirates Cove Marina. Great location for all OBX has to offer!

Our third year attending the bluegrass festival here. This by far was the best place we have stayed. Well stocked. Better than most. We’ll be back.

Great getaway - long weekend. The condo was great - well furnished and comfortable. Met all our needs. In a great neighborhood, great walking, and fabulous views everywhere!

The condo was terrific. Had everything we needed. (could use a few mirrors in the bedrooms to make getting ready easier but not a big deal!) We loved the view and the location. It was a great week away and we would definitely rent this unit again!

We have been staying at Pirates Cove on and off for over 20 years. We have stayed at this condo the last two years and have loved it in so many ways, from the location by the marina, to the quiet and relaxing environment, to the wonderful hospitality and quick response from the owner. This is a great place for a family vacation!

Newly remodeled place looks great. Convenient access to boardwalks and nearby sites. First time in the OBX- loved the sand dunes at the state park!

We stayed a week at this property. The condo was extremely well maintained and furnished. Its central location on the outer banks allowed us easy access to every part of the islands. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was a great location in Pirates Cove, close to restaurants, the community pool, and beach! FYI you do get quite a bit of bridge traffic sounds when you’re on the balcony but it’s totally quiet indoors.

This condo was just what we needed for our vacation! Beautiful place in a beautiful location. We could walk out on the balcony and watch the boats come right by! The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. We loved the condo so much, we actually stayed an extra night! This property is very close to all the attractions which was another plus. So if you're looking for a great place to stay, on your vacation, look no further!

Excellent beach condo! We had great communication with the host and the house had a wonderfully entertaining view of the boats coming in each day! We would definitely stay again!

Great place and location to marina

The pictures of the unit were accurate. We had two king size beds with one en suite. We could set on the balcony or in an inside area and watch the boats in the marina. We will definitely stay here when we visit the Outer Banks again!

Condo was perfect for my elderly mom, sister, brother and I. The condo is spacious, modern, open and and filled with light and wonderful views of one of the many marinas. Condo had three bedrooms, two baths and elevator, and was perfect for our group of 60-85 year olds. We used the Pirates Cove fitness center daily and enjoyed walks along the five miles of boardwalks that loop around the lagoons within the complex. Convenient access to Manteo grocery stores, many seafood restaurants nearby, and attractions like the aquarium, lighthouses, Cape Hatteras, Wright Brothers Minument and Corolla wild horse tour. Host was easy to connect with prior to trip to confirm details and access to condo. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to the Outer Banks.

My family and I enjoyed our stay the view from the patio was very relaxing. We sat and watched ducks on the water and boats as they passed. This condo would’ve gotten a full 5 stars review had we not pulled back the comforter and realized that the linens weren’t clean. This was the case in both the kid’s bedroom and the 2nd master bedroom. We had to wash the bed linens in these rooms after finding what appeared to be blood stains on one of the kids comforters set and hair and more stains on the white linens. In the kitchen a number of the drinking glasses had food stains. Beautiful condo, however more details must be focused on the cleanliness of bed linens and dishes.

As always, the Thompsons were amazing hosts. This was our 3rd NYE at their home & we have already booked our 4th. They are kind, accommodating, super friendly, and the home is clean & very nicely appointed. Highly recommend the property and the owners.

We stayed for a long weekend and really appreciated the fine details with the decor. There was plenty of space for our family of five. It was clean and in “like new” condition.

This was a great place for our time in the Outer Banks! Centrally located, we were able to travel from one end of the islands to another. The condo was well-decorated and provided plenty of space. The best part for us was that somewhat accessible — a great gift for my husband with physical disabilities. Elevator access and shower. Note: there is a slight step up into the condo. Wheelchair access was difficult .

This rental was prime location for our wedding event at The Pavilion @ Pirates Cover. Maybe 100 yards from the venue made it perfect. The beds were comfortable, along with the pullout sofa bed. Kitchen dishes, utensils & cookware were sufficient for us since we didn’t cook any large meals. Beautiful renovation and the deck overlooking the Marina is relaxing. Blue water grill was fabulous and walking distance. Gift shop was great as well. Twin bed room doesn’t have a ceiling fan and can be pretty “stuffy” when the doors are closed. There were a couple of small table fans but I’d bring extras. When we stay in Pirates Cove again, we will come better prepared as this was the least stocked vacation rental I’ve EVER experienced. Friends staying in other units had the same experience so it must be the area. Here is a list of things to bring with you as there was backup/refill provided: - Bath linens (only 2 per room provided) - Kitchen/Hand Towel (none provided) - toilet paper (1 roll in each bathroom on arrival, no extra) - paper towels (1 small roll provided) - laundry detergent (none provided) - dishwasher detergent (1 tab provided) - dish soap (2 oz bottle provided) - kitchen sponge/wash rag - trash bags (no extras to refill) - cleaning wipes or spray for any spills (none provided) - any kitchen seasonings needed (none in unit) - coffee filters, coffee & sugar - foil &/or plastic wrap & storage bags - kid friendly plates/cups/bowls to prevent breaking any dishes We’ll bring a wagon or cart for hauling luggage & items up on the elevator & down the breeze way. You are on the water so expect some bugs. Overall a great stay, just was less stocked than I expected. We’ll know for next time.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Pirates Cove. The facility is beautiful and the neighborhood is so clean and quiet. I look forward to coming and staying again.

This property was very clean and well appointed. It was very nice and we would stay again. It overlooks the marina which we like and there is some road noise from the bridge (which can't be helped).

This property has it all - and made everyone in our party - a senior citizen, a teenager, an 8 year old, and two tired parents - so happy! The senior loved sitting on the comfy chairs on the balcony watching the boats go by or inside in a perfect little nook with a view, and the elevator to get to the unit. The kids loved having the space, plenty of entertainment options (TV and games) during down times, a pool and hot tub to use, and walking around the marina. The parents loved the fully stocked kitchen but also an on-site restaurant (Blue Water) when we didn't want to cook, easy access and drives to all that the Outer Banks offer from beaches to food to historical places to visit, a washer/dryer, and just the relaxing place to stay that we needed. The whole process of renting and staying at this property was friendly and easy throughout, and we will be back!! Thank you to our hosts!

This was my first time going through VRBO so I was nervous but, it was wonderful. The process was easy and the property was beautiful! Very clean, well stocked with supplies you would need for a nice comfortable stay. The host was very nice and responsive. The resort was nice and had lots of things to do. Loved the location as well! Would definitely love to stay again.

Very nice condo with a great view of the boats on the pier. Very close to the beach, dining, etc. Place was clean and much larger than we expected. Getting in and out was easy. Never had any issues, but owner was very quick to reply to random questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for us. 2 miles to town or 2 miles to beach. Ample parking, elevator, clean and newly updated, tasteful decor all with a view! Thank you owners for sharing your property with us!
