The location is perfect. Close to a shopping center, restaurants and on walking distance to the subway entrance. The manager, Mr.Kodera, is a very nice and helpfull man. He even helped us to book a restaurant. We really enjoyed the hotel's hospitality. There is coffee and tea available the whole day long. If you go to Kyoto, don't hesitate and book the L.A. Mart Hotel Kyoto.

You could slighlty smell the sewage in one of the rooms. But the other room was great!

Staff were very friendly really went above and beyond to help us with luggage, booking restaurants, directions which is really appreciated. This is very well located hotel. Excellent value for money. Rooms are generously sized.

There was a problem with damp/mould/insulation from the window, my partner was having some problems with this. If this was solved I would upgrade rating to a 10.

Fantastic little hotel. Attentive and friendly staff, comfy beds and great location right in the shopping district (but still quiet) and near Sanjo station.

Nothing - it was great

The location of the hotel was excellent, just a stone’s throw away from Nishiki market, the busy shopping streets, and many bus/train stops. Finding something to eat and last minute souvenirs was easy early in the morning or late at night.

Our room had a funky, musty scent that we could not aerate every time we returned to the room. We couldn’t open the window, so the only way to circulate the air was by keeping the bathroom fan on and the bathroom door open. There was some construction going on next door that we could hear at different hours of the day.

The location of the hotel was super convenient and nice neighborhood! 7-eleven was literally on the other side of the street and shopping streets are around the corner. Nishiki market is really close by as well. The workers of the hotel were so nice and the rooms are clean and spacious!! They have their own restaurant next to the hotel and it’s worth the visit! I would love to stay here again when I’m back in Kyoto :) Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Amazing staff, super friendly and accommodating. They even surprised my wife by arranging some honeymoon decorations. We had such a wonderful stay here. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in too! We will be back 100%

The staff was very helpful and English speaking. I was able to check-in a few hours later and after my stay hotel offered luggage storage for free till end of the day. The room was clean, and I was provided with basic hygiene stuff - including toothbrush and razor. The location is about 15 minutes or less by foot from famous Gion district and nearby shoping streets. Really good value for the price.

The robes were very soft. The beds were nice and plush. The room was spacious. And the shower was nice. The staff was extremely friendly. A really great location too!

We stayed at THE L.A. MART HOTEL KYOTO while travelling for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the manager Yasuhisa-san and Aki-san made us feel so incredibly special. From the honeymoon decorations in our room to the wine they delivered us, each act reminded us that they really cared about our stay. The room was also comfortable, modern and quiet. The hotel itself has an excellent location close to the major sites of Higashiyama and Gion. We enjoyed walking all over the area as there is plenty to see and enjoy. I highly recommend the L.A. MART HOTEL KYOTO and will be staying there again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you again to Yasuhisa-san and Aki-san for all the special treatment.
