The location is good, and nice house Owner very helpful

Stove never worked properly, and the heating is hard to manage as owner had to set temperature remotely

Location was fine for our needs.

This property was disgustingly filthy. It had obviously not been cleaned or serviced prior to our arrival, there was dirt & dust everywhere - tables & working surfaces had not been wiped down or cleaned. Worst of all, the bed linen had been used and not changed - there was a stain of what I will describe as 'body fluid' on one bed's sheets, a dead insect and food crumbs in another, wet towels had been left folded on the beds. The bathrooms had not been cleaned, hair & used shower gel was in all wash basins, showers & baths. One shower did not work, toilet seats were loose and fixtures & fittings were in a poor state. Food had been left in the fridge which was dirty, washing was still in the washing machine, the waste & recycling bins were full to overflowing. I could go on & on. I tried resolving this with the owner directly but she only said there was a 'mismatch of expectations'!!! This property should be removed from Sykes Cottages Site and I feel it is not fit to be rented out in the condition that we found it.

The living space was amazing , comfy bed and great shower
