Lovely staff, fantastic communication before the arrival and good value for money as we managed to book it as our cheapest option among other pricey hotels in peak season! The interior and amenities are bit old and you can see that but it has its charm. Nice and simple breakfast you can get in the morning before carrying on with your day is always a plus. Obviously, it's not located in the city centre, locals live around and there's a rubbish on the street every now an then but that's how it usually is in that neighborhood and quick Uber or bus drive can take you to the centre!

There wasn’t anything to like, the staff on reception desk where only positive thing!

Where do I start, the rooms where dirty, the shower was broken, the hot water worked intermittently and to top it all off the constant pigeon noises in the roof which meant we couldn’t not get any rest or sleep.

Having to have a pre payment of £50 authorised on my credit card in case of damage ect to fixtures and fittings, which will take upto 30days before it becomes available again on my credit card, on completion of a inspection of the room, after booking out of the hotel,I was not given the opportunity to inspect the room to ascertain if there was any damage to fixtures and fittings after booking in.I have never come across this practice in all the years I have been staying in hotels, in this country and abroad.

Both rooms were quiet, we did get moved rooms for two nights. Friendly staff on reception. Good breakfast.

The area was a bit run down could be a bit intimidating at night time. We did have an issue with door lock and it was not sufficient that they didn't have someone on call that could open the door, we were left waiting for two hours to get into our room and then had to change our plans and had to drag all our luggage to the main part of the hotel and move rooms. Then on one of the nights in the new room the fire alarm went off at 2am in the morning, not a member of staff was available for us or other quests to allay our fears. The staff member on call did answer the intercom and told us the fire alarm issue was a regular occurrence.

Breakfast was v.good. Room was comfortable but window wouldn't stay open so lack of air to the room. Shower in need of attention. Staff very friendly and helpful where possible.

Room wasn't cleaned and bed not made up after our first night. Dirty cups and saucers not replaced and left in room. Staff offered to rectify these issues but timing was not convenient.

Nice clean hotel. Staff were very accommodating and friendly when you arrive and throughout your stay. Nothing was an issue for them.

The breakfast on offer was very basic being continental. Not much in terms of hot food as used to having a choice of both hot and continental breakfast rather than just continental. Felt the rooms could have air conditioning fitted automaticslly installed especially in the hot weather.

A beautiful listed building. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was not an issue as, beside the hotel car park, there were no restrictions on the road outside.

Whilst the breakfast was limited, I think you should understand this is a budget hotel. If you want a full English, go to a pricier hotel.

The breakfast was awful, no English breakfast at all We ended up going to wetherspoons for our breakfast.

The rooms was dirty. When we arrived we asked for a different room, slats on the bed broken, used santitary stuff in the bin.

Off-road parking and accessibility was lovely and the decor was really nice.

Everytime taking the lift made us both feel it was about to break. It was juddery, shaking and would drop slightly when getting into the lift. The hallways are extremely noisy and the sound resonates throughout into the rooms. Made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was awful. Crossaints was mouldy and stale, apples were soft and slushy while the coffee machine was broken with no regular tea bags. The staff appeared dazed and confused throughout, on arrival and departure. The bar staff were even more confused at the request of some ice.

Close to public transport

Room was not clean, there were dry milk stains on one of the side tables. One of the sheets had a stain. Toilet was not cleaned upon arrival. Breakfast cereal was stale. When we arrived back at our room on the 2nd day of our stay we found bed not made and towels thrown on bed.

I was moved to another hotel as the heating was not working. Although the hotel was the same price the room was in a bad condition.

Very basic, wouldn’t need much more but still not at the same level as other hotels I’ve stayed at. The area is not comforting or overly safe. Obviously not the hotels fault. Doors don’t feel like the lock wouldn’t be happy if I was a solo traveler
