Einzelzimmer ist klein, Blick auf den hinteren Parkplatz und Fuß weg, obwohl im 1.Stock..liegt das Zimmer auf Erdgeschoß-Niveau
Primitive Fenster-Sicherungen
Für den Preis ist das Einzel- Zimmer..zu teuer !
Zufahrt im Bereich der Straße speziell für Motorrad wegen enger Kurve gefährlich,
Es gibt auf der Zufahrt zum Hotel keine Spiegel ! Keine Sicht auf Fahrzeuge von links oder rechts kommend..!
(Chinesische Gäste leider im Frühstücks-Raum sehr laut)

The hotel room was beautiful, luxury and very clean with top-end finishes. Huge bed, great view over bowness and the lake (langdale room) free-standing bath (with TV!) and separate big shower too. Swimming pool and sauna was lovely. Staff were fantastic too, very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Really nice hotel, high up on hill so views were great.
The breakfast process was fine (order tea coffee juice toast before sitting down), fresh toast and pastries too. You then order your main breakfast, which I ordered a full English. The food was not on par at all with the hotel itself - burned hash browns, undercooked sausage and mushroom, and scrambled egg was not good. Some attention needs to given to the food and its quality. If this is improved, then this hotel will absolutely be our go-to whenever we go to bowness.

Very clean, warm and friendly staff, well appointed rooms (with a lovely view) - excellent location and proximity to Windermere. Breakfast was very good too. Definitely excellent value for money.
Nothing, I really liked it. The décor wasn’t necessarily to my taste exactly, but it was modern, fresh and clean.

This hotel was lovely and very friendly, beautifully and tastefully decorated with a very warm and inviting ambience. The views from the hotel are breathtaking even on a wet day!

Room was large and clean Good location above the town and away from crowds but easily walkable to restaurants etc.
Too many rules. Have never stayed anywhere where I’ve a) been asked to book a specific breakfast time slot and then b) been told that we couldn’t have the time slot we wanted and moved to a time 30 minutes later. In the end we didn’t bother having breakfast even though we’d paid for it - just felt like too much trouble (for both the hotel and us). For £230 a night, had expected a better and more welcoming experience.

Would have liked a small fridge in the room to keep water cool. Plus more choice of tv channels. Wanted to watch the football and had to resort to YouTube on my phone.

Splendid location. Clean and comfortable with attractive decor. Room good with view and comfortable chairs. Bathroom well fitted out and good shower. Good lounge and terrace with magnificent views. Pretty garden.
Too regimented - having to pre-book breakfast times. Would have preferred some self service at breakfast.
Bathroom was constantly heated and so much too hot ( we were blessed with exceptionality hot weather - unusual in the Lake District?)

Hillthwaite was the perfect property for my stay in Cumbria. they were extremely gracious and accommodating. I could not have dreamed of a better place to spend my nights. Breakfast was superb and the staff were warm, welcoming and personable. My room was clean and comfortable, and I did not lack for anything.
My only regret was that I didn’t have more time in this beautiful place at this gorgeous property. I will be back and will surely book Hillthwaite again.

A shelf in shower to hold soap shampoo would be nice, but the shower was very good even without shelf.

The facilities are well equipped, has beautiful lake view and garden.
