Breakfast could have been hotter. Location excellent.
Duver cover torn at one corner. Dirty ashtray full of cigarette buts left on the window ledge outside. Patio area needed brushing.

location was very good - short walk into town
The room was sooooooo hot. We turned the radiators off and slept with the window open, but the bathroom radiator wouldn't turn off and also burns your leg if you try sitting on the toilet. They use a paper-based system for everything, so nothing is a quick press of a button to manage and everything seemed a bit much like hard work for the staff there. Breakfast was also not what we were expecting from other reviews - perhaps our expectations were too high, but I've have preferred not to book it and have spent the money in town

The hotel was well located for local facilities. Everything was very clean. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.

Huge room, light, full length mirrors, loads of hanging space for clothes, plenty of work tops, comfortable bed, balcony and nice sitting area. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating.

Everything was great! Great location.. closed to everything without the the noise. Room was exceptional and staff were very very welcoming. Breakfast was Michelin starred! It was really amazing! Every small details was taken care of. Loved it! Will be back for sure.

It's a brilliant what looks like family run hotel and the location is fantastic. Bedrooms are big, well decorated and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is really good and you have plenty of healthy choices from loads of different fruits to healthy cooked choices as well as the usual, all served by really friendly staff.
If we had to think of any negative it would be the bathrooms on the two rooms we were stopping in could have done with a liitle bit of modernisation but that's all and It didn't spoil our stay because we have booked to stay again.

warm, comfortable and perfect location, 2 min walk to town or lake. great shower. spacious room with balcony. breakfasts delicious. hosts so friendly, took time to chat to us about local walks. plus car parking! pretty perfect really. we’ll definitely stay again when in that area.

The hotel staff are superb.
The first day breakfast was absolutely amazing, very busy, but plenty of staff, however, the second day was very poor, noticed by a few other guests.
Our superior room was clean, but certainly could do with a bit of a refurb.
The porch into the rooms outside was vwey dirty, which oa a shame because it would only take 30 minutes to power wash the walls and top.
Location is terrific.
I would stay there again, simply because of location and price.

Great location with a lovely large room
Staff are very good, attentive and friendly. Fantastic breakfast selection in a lovely dining room. The guest lounge and bar area is very comfortable with good bar selection. We were looked after very well
They even posted a jacket to me I had left in the wardrobe ! Loved it, we will definitely be going back.
Only that it was a cold brief walk outside from the chalet style room to breakfast. Only a downside because the weather was so cold during our stay.

beautiful, period house. we were in a superior suite. very close to everything. breakfast was amazing too. staff were accommodating, informative and it was clear nothing would of been a bother to help us with.
only thing we had a problem with; gap under our bedroom door, it was a really cold day. nothing a towel couldn’t sort. Maybe they might want a stick a draft excluder behind the door. it was up a hill and it was very icy, they did grit everywhere though.

For just one night the people`` who were above us every time they walked across their room it sounded as if they were coming through the ceiling however I explained that to reception who were sorry but the occupants above us were leaving that day so there was no need to move us which reception said they would do if so required. Other than that the stay was superb and the staff were exceptional if we ever come to the lakes again we would always book with this hotel.

Fantastic location just a couple of minutes walk to town and lake, allocated parking, large comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely lounge area looking out onto the gardens. Great breakfast, large choice of Lovely fresh fruit, cereals and beautifully cooked breakfast.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and very welcoming. The staff when we'll and beyond to sort out everything I needed. Also the location is a 5 minute walk from the waterfront. Also the room was amazing and spectacular and the shower was the best. This was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. And I will be returning in the future.
