Loved every part about staying here! I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when I come back to Fiji. Staff were super professional & so friendly. The rooms were nice and clean and nice and close to everything on the resort. Loved the food, service, staff and overall everything.

Love the adults only pool, no kids and cocktail hour was nice

The food at every restaurant was terrible and extremely expensive… we ordered room service the last two nights (which also was terrible but half the price as we couldn’t justify the restaurant prices and inedible food)

More local food,need to understand peanuts/nut allergy

Paying premium prices for meals which were of average quality. Cocktails were all pre mixed no option for anything else.

Service not great (not considerate for guests arriving early morning, not our choice to choose such arrival time!!!), not much choices for restaurants (and don’t have 24x7 foods service ??), rooms not great for the price pay for, TV programmes so limited (almost nothing!!)

Schlechte Qualität des Essens besonders das Frühstück bestand fast nur aus billigen Kohlenhydraten- Massenabfertigung- heiss und laut, Gurken waren immer bitter, spät am Abend gab es kein Eis mehr- tagsüber dafür keine Waffeln bei einem stolzen Preis von 12 Fidschidollar … pro Kugel Eis überall anmelden und extra Zahlungen…

Breakfast was great, enjoyable. Room was very clean and pleasant. Enjoyed the lower level for our toddler to run around and have easy access. Room service and staff were very friendly and helpful. Little gift pack for our toddler was so sweet.

Gorgeous hotel with a lovely pool and facilities, we didn’t use the kids club but it was very well fitted out. Beachside location but the beach is not as nice as along the Coral Coast. Room and amenities very nice. Great buffet breakfast.

Our room had a slightly musty smell due to being at the end of the wet season. Restaurants within the resort are quite pricey, menus are available to review this kind of thing before you go.

We absolutely loved the breakfast. The menu was great, honestly it was my favourite meal of the day eating at the Wautiu cafe/restaurant . The pool in the adults only section is amazing. the service in the area is also fantastic. the staff are all so friendly, each and every one of them are great happy people.

As mentioned to one of the staff we stayed in the adults only wing, the wing that runs straight towards the ocean not the parellel wings. the issue was the smell of mould/dampness when you enter the corridor . i am not sure if this is the wet carpet ? it was unpleasant smell. that is the only negative i can think of .

Breakfast was very good, Swimming pool, especially for the kids was exemplary and room was very good with mini freeze, locker etc. Overall excellent/superb. Tour guide/airline desk was excellent provided excellent services.

The first time I checked in the room was smelling mold. I reported at the front desk at the office and they moved me to a cleaner room.

Breakfast. Staff are quite good and they try their best to give you a good experience.

Location is secluded, and everything is very expensive. Taxi fare is way more than double. Internet connection is absolutely hopeless. They would not recognise Accor plus membership and not give discounts on public holidays and additionally will charge even surcharge! 🙄. I feel that it is a bit of a run-down place.

Private club staff were very nice

As a guest who is currently seven months pregnant, I made a courteous request upon arrival for a one-hour extension for check-out, and I expressed my willingness to cover any associated fees. However, regrettably, I found that the reception staff did not extend the level of cooperation and friendliness I had hoped for. Given my condition and the additional needs it entails, I urge you to review your staff's approach to guest requests, especially those that concern accommodations for guests with special circumstances. Your understanding and prompt attention to this matter would greatly enhance both my current stay and the reputation of your hotel.

It was beautiful and everyday has different activities for everyone like kids and adults. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Cleaners look after the room day and night. The staffs at the bar had a great customer service. They looked after us and wherever you go there are someone there looking after you. They are magnificent! We love the drinks at the bar and if you do not drink alcohol they have a lot of choices for non-alcoholic mock tails which was great!

We do not like that at the balcony, smokers can just hang around and smoke. They should not allow people who smoke mixed with non- smokers. We love to stay sometime at the balcony in our room during afternoon but when someone occupied the other unit beside us, we cant stay much longer due to full on cigarette smoke. We have health conditions that cannot tolerate that. Hopefully they should have rules for that.

This review may be long but please read it’s an honest review and will help you out loads. First the Pros The staff are the best you will ever get. Bai,Lai,Tracey are just a few amazing people who work at the resort. But every single person are unbelievable. Sofitel is by far the best hotel on island. We done the Bula bud that takes yiu around the Hilton, Radisson Blu etc and the Sofitel stands out from a mile. The pool is huge and super clean and so many loungers. Out of all the hotels the Sofitel has the best beach seating and bar area. Hotel is super clean. Everyday yiu will always see someone cleaning. Beautiful restaurants on site strongly recommend visit them all. Especially Solis and the Waitui restaurant and bar. Hotel rooms are a standard size but beautifully designed. The beds are so comfortable and clean. Unbelievable lobby and so impressive when you turn up. Eddie and all the greeting staff are brilliant when you first pull up. A few shops on site and my partner loved the pure Fiji brand with body creams etc. Malamala island is one of the best excursions I’ve ever done and probably the most amazing island I’ve ever seen. Please book a day bed though it’s worth it By far the highlight of the trip. Food at the solis restaurant is very good but the waitui beach club restaurant ( Adults only) was amazing and very romantic. With a beautiful sunset while having amazing wine and food.

Cons Baazar restaurant is pretty average but you expect that form a buffet. Some stuff are really nice but then some stuff and awful. recommend to go around 6pm as food goes very quickly if busy. Sounds obvious but Please bring loads of sun lotion as the sun is outrageous and I found that out the hard way. we went in the wet season and the weather was booming all week. I went 28th Feb to 5th March. Drinks are expensive and the cocktails are very average. Probably the worst cocktails I’ve had. Although we found a Malibu and Coke was our go to after we tried most of the cocktails. Waitui beach club adults only section can be a package. But you can also get a day pass for $199pp if you are not in that section of the hotel. However, to be honest I feel it’s a waste of money as you only get 1 hour free cocktails and canopies. There is no difference between the standard pool than the waitui club. Pool is that big the kids don’t affect you. This is probably the biggest mis leading thing is that when we booked our booking.com package we booked the standard room with half board including breakfast and dinner with an extra $125 FJD per day for wine food and spa. THIS DOESNT exist and is very misleading. It’s breakfast included and the $125 FJD is for your dinner bill at the end. We found this out the hard way. But again this isn’t the hotels fault and I would say it’s more booking.com for misleading information. Overall the Sofitel is a 9/10 in total. You can easily see how this is the best resort on the island. I will always strongly recommend this place.

The reception staff was amazing and very accommodating. Special thanks to Levai and Marika for excellent services and Helen for accommodating for extra night in short notice. Excellent customer service from all staffs at the reception area. Breakfast was above our expectations in value and quality. Room service was excellent, special thanks to Lega and all staff in that area. Room was nice and clean, refreshed every day with lovely and friendly staffs. Pool area was nicely maintained, clean and staff services were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent food in restaurants with lovely and friendly staffs. Outlook was beautiful and beach front was amazing. Lots of places to relax and unwind. Clean and beautiful atmosphere.

We don't have any negative experiences during our stay. Everything was perfect for us.
