The room was clean. It was warm (I stayed end of November). The bed was comfortable. Plenty of space in the room. Nice quiet road so no outside noise. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Only one plug socket in the room - too far away to plug TV and kettle in (I moved the kettle but couldn't do anything about the TV). Shower pressure and water volume could have been better. Bathroom door handle fell off as it wasn't screwed in enough - I had to reattach it. I was told the WiFi password but not the name of the WiFi network - I tried a few different networks before it connected.

Complimentary breakfast at the check-in Hotel was lovely. Bathroom was large and very clean.

Bed was broken (but usable)and covers stained. Floor wasn't the cleanest. And hallway smelt of damp. Small amounts of black mold in some corners of room.

Was a good location with good sized comfy beds. Staff that checked us in were very friendly and helpful. Was good value for money and easy to get to town.

Showers could do with an update as some didn't work correctly. Rugs in the room were nice if a little dated but also slid way to easily causing potential accident.

Good size room away from the main hotel. A good walk into the city but plenty of buses. Nice leafy area for those who would prefer less hustle and bustle. Lark Lane is a 10 min walk which is a little town in its own right with plenty of bars and restaraunts

Online the accomodation is listed as Beech Mount Grove Suites, see attached screenshot. The signage does not match this and your reception staff did not call it this, which made booking in confusing. We asked about the possibility of a late check out,12pm, and the reception staff said someone would contact us and let us know if this would be possible, no one did. The online description states that all rooms have a fridge. We booked the suite, £165 for one night, because of it's proximity to Sefton park as my husband was taking part in the 10k run. Due to the early start, we needed a fridge for his pre run breakfast. But no fridge was available, even in the small kitchen area which was baffling. The room was not clean, see attached screenshots of the dirty coffee table and of the towel I used to wipe the bedside tables and the shelf above the bed-head. The surfaces on the whole if the bed side of the room were covered some kind of gritty substance not just dust. The mirror was flithy, see attached image.The room lacks adequate lighting. A single low energy, low wattage ceiling light and one tatty, yes the shade is torn, table lamp isn't sufficient. Where are the bedside lamps? When going to bed we needed to get out of bed and go to the door to turn off the light.The room door, which is a fire door, has a big gap underneath it probably from a change of flooring, which means it does not function as a fire door, which makes it a safety hazard. The legal requirements for gaps under fire doors, a maximum gap of 4 mm, I could get my whole index finger under the door, see attached image.6- The bathroom extraction fan did not work. The hot tap of the sink is loose and sharp so difficult to use. The single bed headboard was not attached to the bed and has a large white mark across it which I didn't inspect too closely! We booked a twin but couldn't use that bed and we needed two bed due to use both being disabled. 9-the wifi codes did not work... awful

Receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, room size was great, with kitchenette, free parking, safe area

Floors weren't very clean, bed is very soft, the kitchenette was not well maintained, although all issues were dealt with by house keeping

The room was excellent and service from the Mountford Hotel staff was exceptional, such a friendly guy and definitely would book again.
