The hotel is excellent. Despite being located next to the road, it remains quiet. Windsor Castle is just a 5-minute walk away. It's clever of the hotel to provide detailed video instructions for accessing the property :) This hotel will be my first choice when staying in Windsor.

It would be perfect if the hotel offered luggage storage.

Very nice big room very well presented

A very busy road and on a major traffic junction was woken very early by loud traffic

We arrived late afternoon and the room was not cleaned from previous occupants. Unclean bed sheets, unclean towels, etc. We contacted the owners but took a while to get back to us so we booked a different hotel costing us more money. We were promised a refund but another payment was taken, so paid twice. We have had one refund but still awaiting another.

Squeaky bed

Not much in all honesty apart from the location

We had to swap bedrooms with our sons as the William double was extremely musty/damp and my wife can sense this as she starts sneezing. The bedside lamps in the Elizabeth twin we slept in worked intermittently and bathroom extractor was very noisey.

We had an extended (23 hour) layover and decided to come to Windsor, as it is so close to Heathrow and a little more relaxing than London. Charles House was perfect for this stay. I used to live in the area, and staying here I felt very much at home! Check-in process was smooth and we received instructions for access code well ahead of time. We arrived about an hour before check-in time but were kindly allowed to store our luggage in the house before our room was ready. The room was the perfect size, bed was comfortable, and there was good water pressure in the shower. Location was convenient - the street was quiet, but it’s a very short (5 minute) walk to the main shops. Overall excellent value for money and we would return again.
