very close to ferry and train station, breakfast is good (when it comes on time, not in my case). the two things that I liked the most: - the staff is very friendly, especially the man in charge if things and the young boy in the reception - the internet is very good which is unusual for Varenna.

I came here for work, all what I wanted was a cosy bed and nice breakfast. here are some points about this stay: - i asked for a cup of hot water to make my own tea outside the breakfast hours and I was told to go to a cafe instead - all three mornings the hot breakfast was late, in one of then the whole breakfast was late, I almost missed my train - the noise on that street is too loud during the night, you can hear every car passing by - the bed keeps shifting all the time if your pillow is to the wall. the bed is not attached and is very light so you cannot sit in it and work or watch a movie if your back is pressing the wall - the bed start shifting away.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with many offerings:eggs, cheeses, meats, pastries, juices, etc. the location was very convenient to the boat ferry stop. Restaurants were close by. The room and bathroom were very clean.

1 room NO cold running water, only hot. Couldn't use toilet & take showers. Two staff members came to fix and could not fix it. We had to share 2nd room facilities (downstairs). Later, I was messaged to go to reception (it was outside and downstairs) to change room, but was very late at night.

Breakfast exceeded my expectations. We were served with lots of cold cuts, cheese, cakes, etc. The hostess/owner Josephine is so friendly and approachable. She even told us you can take pastries for your trip.

Nice place, really friendly staff and good location in Varenna! The room was also really spacious and clean, would definitely stay again.

Wish it would have been made known we were staying in Hotel Beretta instead at the start! Small detail but we found it odd but the toilet was really big but had only a small shower as well.

Mateo was excellent at checking in and even helping me with finding an adapter for my cell charger and find info on tours, the staff and location are a 10!

I reserved a room în hotel Montecodeno but we have to do the check-in,în Hotel Beretta (just 15 m from Hotel Montecodeno) and the room what he gave to us was in Hotel Beretta (The room was the same what i reserved, so it was oké).

Hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. We missed our flight from the US so were a day late. They kept our room open and worked with booking.com to reduce our bill for the one day miss. The folks in the attached restaurant were also super friendly and helpful the three times we had breakfast and dinner there. 10 minute walk to the train station and 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal

Room was a bit small so it was hard to move around. Not a big deal though.
