Room was comfy and clean. No problems caused by Cyclone Gabrielle in way of water etc. Welcoming staff.

pool was out of action main reason i booked this motel, Beds were super hard not nice Cobwebs in bathroom, crack in head on of shower which made water spirt out back

Easy to find, very handy to where we needed to be. Clean, but very dated.

Other noisy guests late a night. Close to main highway. Pool closed, Spa closed, playground closed.

The room we stayed in had white patches and stains on the couch and the arms were filthy. Bathroom old and moldy, beds were terrible could feel springs. Floor in bathroom was sticky, and the shower moves. Extremely outdated! Won't be going back.

That it was close to my home where we couldn't stay because of home renovations that evening

We were unable to stay at the place we had booked while renovations were being done in our Whangarei whare. I booked accommodation as available on Booking.com. Arriving at the Motel approx 6.30pm we were faced with a number of issues. 1. We were told there was no vacancies until the woman found the right booking on her database 2. She quickly mentioned where we lived which was just around the corner - telling us that they don't usually take bookings from local people. 3. She asked me for everyones COVID vaccine record, stating it was very clear on the website. Checking back on the website Im not able to find any such information. 4. She asked me why we accommodation i explained. She noticed my husband wearing a health uniform at the same time and said ' oh I see you work on health you've given me a good enough reason'. Her manner was rude and became ruder when my husband appeared. We are a Maori whānau, both of us are health professionals living in Whangārei. Not impressed and would definitely not recommend.

There was no smiling face to welcome us – just a grumpy woman who was quite stroppy. It was cold and the heaters seemed to be on a timing system. No instructions for that.

very nice big bed!! room was nice and spacious!! and even though me and my friend was sharing a bed!! it was a very big bed!! will definitely be booking with Motel Sierra in the future ❤️ Also to the lady at office even though she had a sore back she was still very lovely ❤️❤️
