Great location opposite the river. Very comfortable bed and large room.

The room felt like a bunker as there was no outside window in the main bedroom, only a small window in bathroom and the balcony looked out to an internal space. So choose a room that faces the front. Breakfast was also very limited in selection with only vegetarian choices.

I enjoyed my stay there and the staff are so attentive especially Awang. The rooms and very clean and the location is very central and easy to walk about the Kuching city

Lovely boutique hotel with nice room size. Friendly front office staff. We checked in late and met Awang. Felt very welcomed and had a good night sleep at the Garden Suite before moving to another room the next day as we wanted to book the Double Deluxe Suite but it wasn’t available on the first night.

The Garden Suite room tv channels were very basic and no international channel hence they can add Netflix for more selections.

excellent staff and a great location

Even on the lowest setting the aircon was absolutely blasting. lots of stairs up to the room. also they were doing extensive renovations at the time, so sometimes it was impossible to stay in the room because of the drilling noise. we were told by other guests that they were offered a free upgrade to compensate for the noise, or a refund. We weren’t offered anything.

Location was perfect. I really liked the decor. Nice big bathtub was great. Breakfast was very good - cooked to order and both western and Malaysian options.

Good breakfast with daily fruit. Especially appreciated the local bananas. Staff were courteous and did their best for guests. I was grateful that they changed my bedroom after my daughter asked for this. It made the stay much more pleasant. Altogether the stars of the hotel Ranee were the the staff.

Mosquitoes managed to get in! Possibly because this was during the rainy reason when we visited. Ask for the mosquito repellent, staff will provide if you ask. In line with the experience of other guests, the water pressure in the showers not always consistent.

The location was very good. Walking distance to most tourists spots. And lots of good restaurants around the hotel.

The room was run down. Leaking aircond and told not to switch it off even though it was very cold. Some of the staff wwas friendly and the others not so. Breakfast was a sad affair with bananas as the only fruit available.

Well kept heritage with large attractive rooms

The electric supply was poor. we had to change rooms as the air con and fans were erratic and the tv connection was poor. No English speaking channels! hot Breakfast ok but poor choice of cereals and spreads with stewed tea and coffee.

No TV channel due to weather conditions in Sarawak for the last few days.. surprisingly other hotel tv channel doesn't have tv channel problem for the last few days.

Location is great. Room was very clean, much better than 5-stars hotel chains. Good internet connection. Breakfast was simple but elegant, staff was helpful.

No TV. The TV system was down for the whole 5 days. A/C in the bedroom was not working. Noise only, no cool air. This was known to staff as we were told at checkin to leave the A/C in the living room on at all time. Living room not bright enough. Can's read book at night.

The lift didn’t go up all the way to the room so there was a bit of stairs to get to my room

Would have liked some fruit on the breakfast buffet. The only fruit was the banana on the French toast option. But otherwise everything excellent.

Perfectly situated overlooking the river . If you don't mind stairs try to get top floor . Otherwise either rear or front facing rooms .very friendly helpful staff and as things open up so will the restaurant on the ground floor .
