Not much of seating area, only three chairs and one sofa seat.

The location was absolutely amazing. Very comfortable and clean . The host was absolutely lovely and so helpful.

I wish that they had a way to dim the outside lights to reduce light pollution as it’s a perfect place to watch the northern lights.The evening meal was not warm although tasty.

Our stay wasn’t long enough.

Staff was really friendly, they even called us during the night to warn us about the northern lights. Bed was comfortable and the room was quite spacious.

The room was not properly cleaned. The lights on the outside (and the lack of decent blackouts).

Staff is great, rooms are comfortable and location is superb for having a dark sky to chase stars & northern lights. You of course need a car to reach the place and closest area with restaurants and supermarkets are around 10 mins by car. However the hotel has breakfast, dinner and a bar you can enjoy as well. Although the dinner was a bit pricey (like everything in Iceland) it was really delicious home-made food.

Gorgeous, quaint cabin in a beautiful remote location. It was so quiet and having the hot tub and sauna to ourselves made the trip extra special. The bed was really comfortable, had a wonderful nights sleep despite the wind and the cabin was really warm it was a nice bonus that you could manage the heating control yourself. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the ladies working there were extremely lovely and hospitable.

We had the top choice of accommodation at the property and I believe based on this and the cost the breakfast should automatically be included in the price. Although the dinner was faultless and service was fantastic, the price is on the expensive side. Our TV remote wasn’t working which was a slight inconvenience however the team were quick to sort a replacement. I understand it was low season but would’ve liked for the hot tub and sauna to already be up and running when we got there as the sauna didn’t heat up fully.

Completely out of the way a quiet but perfect to see so much in Iceland. Really warm and peaceful place and we got some great pictures of the northern lights

Location and peace

I wish our stay was longer, we only stayed for a night and I can say it was great, the food at its restaurant is great and delicious with a service that elevates the food, the place is beautiful and charming, more than the photos reveal. I really loved this place and the sauna and jacuzzi area were a great way to warm my body after a cold day in Iceland. My wife and I had a great time, only thing that I would have wished was to be able to see the aurora there, we were in a cloudy night so there was no luck, but given the area they are in I bet it is a wonderful sight.

The location had on site food service which is rare throughout the more remote areas of Iceland. There was also good amenities such as a lounge and hot tub area.

The shower drainage could have been improved as well as providing shampoo and conditioner.

Heated floor in bathriom

The room was simply furnished but it was very comfortable, clean, and homey. You can control your own heater in the room. Beds were so comfortable my husband slept 13 hours after we spent a day touring Golden Circle (and I slept 12 hours). Shower was nice and hot.

Location was quite remote (as clearly advertised and expected) but even knowing this, the drive there late at night in the dark with the fog and no other cars around made me a bit nervous. The blackout curtains were not wide enough to cover the whole window so other people walking by outside could see you in the room through the end gap. We had to choose between potentially being seen lying in the bed or coming out of the bathroom. Water must have been very soft because I kept feeling like my hand was slippery and still had soap on it. FYI No toiletries other than a bottle labeled "hand soap" in both the sink and shower area. I expected this based on other reviews so I brought my own soap, shampoo, and conditioner so it wasn't a problem for us.
