The staff seemed to be nice, the breakfast was also great, we did not expect that at all.

This hotel is really outdated, we could not wait for us to move out. It is humid, the rooms smell like mould. We requested the room change and it was accepted, but this did not help. The furniture is old, only 2 working sockets in the room. The bathroom facilities were in a tragic shape. At one point the shower head broke into 2 pieces while taking a shower, it was also dirty. Got replaced the same day, but it does not save the fact how worn this hotel is. Never again, avoid at any means.

Facilities: Unfortunately, the hotel's facilities were outdated, with walls showing signs of discoloration and a shower area lacking a separate door. Despite their promise of upgrading to a landmark room, I was allocated one that did not meet my expectations. Furthermore, the room had an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing. Service: Regrettably, I encountered significant issues with the service throughout my stay, from check-in to the subsequent inquiries made during check-out. Despite checking out yesterday, I have not received a refund of my deposit. When I sought assistance from the front desk, their response lacked the desired level of professionalism, and their dismissive reply was, 'It may take 1-3 business days.' Moreover, I was disheartened to discover that the promised departure gift was not provided as stated. Considering the overall experience, I cannot confidently recommend this hotel for future stays. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to the pending refund matter （as of the time of my review) , as it has negatively impacted my perception of the hotel's service standards. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Love Andaz Xintiendi, always my first choice visiting Shanghai. Great service, super friendly staffs and really helpful especially "Ken" concierge dept. He's phenomenal in term of solving problem.

Too many broken facilities in the room.... Broken cupboard door to refrigerator, Sharp edges of the bed, Wall socket didn't work, Tap in bathroom hang loose, Switches awfully installed (like a 2-star hotel).. Breakfast - nothing but coffee served reasonably hot, Bread old and dry, Chinese buffé - old food and cold!

The Andaz hotel is a beautiful hotel, located next to Xintiandi and other important shopping places in downtown Puxi. The breakfast is fantastic with a wide range of food available.

There is an enormous construction site right next to the hotel which not only ruins the view but also make a fair amount of noise, especially if you cannot sleep with the provided earplugs. My room had a few technical issues which I discovered too late to ask a change of room: no cold water from the bathtub tap so water was more than 40°C only, strong smell of damp, broken ceiling lamp which flashed all night. When issues were reported to reception, no apologies nor form of compensations were offered. I barely slept and I am not sure I would go back here for another staycation.

Very overpriced for the quality of hotel. Couldn’t use the swimming pool. The bed was extremely soft, and the light and power switches in the room were unnecessarily complicated. Charged a very high and unexpected deposit on check-in which was not returned until more than 2 days after check-out. There are plenty of equivalent but much cheaper places in Shanghai.
