Near the sea

Couldn't speak or understand English, couldn't assist us with anything. It was our first visit in Albania. The bedding was torn, drawer broken, water on the balcony. Breakfast poor.

The Hotel is located right on the promenade and offers a central location for access to the city. The beach front is visible from the rooms and you are still in easy walking distance of the ampitheatre and city itself.

When we first arrived, it was manic trying to find somewhere to park; there is effectively no parking at the hotel and the main road runs right alongside it which was immensely busy. After about 15 minutes of trying to find somewhere, we eventually had to pay for overnight parking in a nearby car park. When we arrived to our room (mid-evening time after an extremely long and hot days transit), we found that the air-con in the room did not work. When we asked the lady at reception about getting it fixed she was unable/unwilling to provide very much assistance, commenting that she would phone the manager, but could not provide any guarantees that it would be fixed or even looked at. When we returned from dinner, we asked again and it transpired that the manager did not arrive until 10pm and that we would have to wait until then for him to look at it. When we asked abnout switching rooms (depsite being assured that we had one of the best rooms avaialble) we were told that this was not possible until the manager had looked into it. After 10pm I went back to reception to find the lady previously there gone. There was a gentleman who was there who commented he was not the manager, but was incredibly helpful and tried to get the air-con to work before conceding it was broken and helped us move to another room without issue. Even once moved, he offered to continue to try and fix the unit so that we could move back to the original. He was a joy and saved our experience of the hotel.

Hotel is we can say on the promenade near the beach - really super close. There are of course dark side of it, if some of you want to work online on balcony then as all the day is laud from the street. But for chilling It should be perfect. Breakfast was ok mostly sweet option.

We was 4 night and nobody clean the room during that time.

Breakfast have small, but there have enough of everything. Fruits, bread, cheese, vegetables, yoghurt and eggs, sausages etc. Fine!

No beach there . It is by the sea.

The location is perfect in front of the beach and near to restaurants. Historical site is also a few minutes away. Great breakfast. Highly recommended in Durres.

The room was nice, however we did not get the full-view apartment first, but after claiming we were offered. Finally we stayed at the original side-view room because it had a better terrace. Otherwise it had a nice view and was comfortable. Good price / value. The breakfast on the hotel's terrace was nice.

The door of the shower ran out of its place when tried to close. The place was noisy in the evenings because of the crowd outside. Breakfast was a bit simple.

Hygiene was good, rooms were clean and foe the price you pay its what you can expect do get in durres

The beds are pretty uncomfortable, the matresses have springs in them which is definetly not ideal. Also the door to the balcony didnt close all the way so you could hear everything on the streets all night.

The location is in a pedestrian zone and it is very quiet. It is a 2 minute walk to the town beach. In July it was too hot to be outside but In the evening many families walked in the area and sat in pavement cafes. There are small grocery stores and a bank ATM just a few minutes walk away. It's about a ten minute walk to the charming town centre. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The young ones spoke some English. It is a family run business and I felt relaxed and welcome. On the fourth floor my room had sliding doors to a large veranda with table and chairs. It had a panoramic view over the seaside promenade. There was plenty of variety at breakfast including western and Mediterranean, hot and cold. It is a short walk to several restaurants if you want variety. The owner was very kind to me when a taxi could not be found to take me to a nearby hotel. Thank you! Someone also helped me bring my heavy suitcase down from the fourth floor.

There was no lift (elevator) which was difficult for me, but I was given help to carry my heavy suitcase. On the fourth floor there is a very small step down in the middle of the corridor which you don't notice. I almost fell several times and once I jarred my back. I recommend painting the edge to make it visible. In my room the sliding doors could not be locked shut due to a maintenance issue. There was no flat surface in my room for using my laptop or for doing your make-up. In the shower room there was no shelf to stand my toiletries on.

The location is great, the small beach is in front of the hotel without crowds, but without shade. Promenade, restaurants and cafes also in front of the hotel. The city center and all you need to see is a 10 to 15 minute walk. Breakfast was good. Private parking across the street for 200 leks a day.

We didn't get the room we booked, the pictures are different. There are no glasses in the room and only one towel. On the terraces with a partial sea view, you can not sit, because the outdoor climate unit heats the terrace itself.

The location was great, the rooms were pretty nice and the breakfast was awesome.
