I liked the space and facilities, also the quiet location

Great quiet place to relax and unwind. Plenty of space and well equipped kitchen. Loved watching the bunnies running around in the afternoon/ evening.

The lovely rural setting and yet close to town. The fire place was a bonus. Self-contained laundry facilities were appreciated. Friendly and accommodating hosts.

Voted the most heated bathroom on our journey so far. Plus the fireplace and heat pump made a most comfortable night’s stay in sub-zero temperature. Kitchen was well-equipped. It even had a rice cooker! We love this cosy home-away-from-home.

Margaret met us on arrival and instantly made us feel extremely welcome. The cottage was like a home away from home and had everything we needed. It was the best accommodation we stayed at during our travels around New Zealand. We hope to be back. Looking forward to meeting the new furbaby Coco on our return.

We loved everything about Gladstone Cottage.

Very cosy, clean with all you need for a home away from home. From the warm fireplace to the warm welcome, this accomodation is a gem.

Everything. Margaret and Peter made us very welcome. We spent 55 days touring New Zealand and stayed in 25 different places, this was was the best, it was the gold standard for our trip. Lots of space and all the facilites we needed. Good washing machine and safe place to hang out laundry. Big kitchen, nice bed, comfy sofas and chairs, lots of character. Good sized dining table and nice place to sit out. Excellent value for money.

That we didn't stay here longer and use it as a base for the Mount Cook walks. Mount Cook village was expensive and had limited facilities, while Twizel is an nice small town has lots of places to eat, cafes and good supermarkets, 45 minutes scenic drive to Mount Cook walks.

Very nice place and very nice owners

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Lovely great sized cottage not too far from the centre of Twizel. The cottage had all the facilities we needed for a lovely stay. The owners are next door, but face away from the cottage giving us privacy. Highly recommend.

It was clean & easily accessible to town. Comfortable beds. It had all the amenities you need.

Although the owners were lovely, helpful & gave us loads of privacy we didn’t like being in clear sight of them. This is just a personal preference and probably wouldn’t bother others.

only thing to change would be a little milk in the fridge for hot drinks.
