Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, haben uns aller ermöglicht, was wir uns gewünscht haben. Unterkunft und Pool waren sehr sauber. Frühstück sehr lecker. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens jedem empfehlen.

It exceeded our expectation. The host were the best that there could be. Place run by a young couple sees to every demand by guest are met. Can’t write enough about the place.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable! The pool was so big and lovely with great views. Breakfast was hearty and delicious!! Ruwin helped us organise an elephant tour for a very good price, and advised us on lots of local things - a present, helpful and friendly host. Thanks so much for having us !

Ruwan and his family who run the hotel are simply the best! So kind and helpful in every single way, could not have done more for us. Beautiful and peaceful location just a very short drive from Sigiriya Rock. Would absolutely recommend this clean, tranquil spot!

Nice place But food is okay.

The host was very helpful and genuine, he helped us with everything we needed including transport, dinner on the first night at nearby restaurant where the waiter was very helpful and food delicious, he also organised a trip to Sigiriya rock where the tuk-tuk driver waited for us. The host recommended and organised the best safari where we saw between 100-150 elephants! If we had gone to the park we first wanted to go to we may have missed this amazing experience. The host also gave us good tips and rates which was reassuring. The accommodation is spacious and clean and very calm and the surroundings are peaceful. The breakfast was very worth the money, huge portion and delicious!

Great pool area with sun loungers, perfect for relaxing. Ruwan was fantastic at organising all our transport and events, can highly recommend the elephant safari and going for dinner at his brothers restaurant. Very helpful staff and great breakfast!

Nothing - do need to tuk tuk to the rock / town but not very far.

Massive room and felt high quality throughout. The pool is great and location is also great. Quiet and close enough to restaurants. Owners were extremely helpful and booked us tuktuks into town whenever we wanted (approx £1-2 each way for a tuktuk).

Quiet and peacefull place to confortably stay near Sigiriya. Large and classic look rooms with all necessary facilities. Very friendly and helpfull staff who urge to satisfy all of our requirements without hesitation. Tasty food and beautiful location which I can recommend to any local/foreign guest regardless of the budget

We stayed in a brilliantly- designed cottage, clean comfortable and with a bath tub. The large swimming pool was very welcome after the heat of the safari park and Lion Rock. The owner and his wife were very friendly, provided great breakfasts and cooked an excellent dinner for us one night.

we enjoyed our stay at Sigirya Water Cottage. the host was very friendly and eager to help. He gave some good advice about a safari in the neighbourhood at a normal price! we enjoyed the pool (which is perfectly clean and nice). the room is big and has a lovely balcony. unfortunately (due to the rain) we weren’t able to use it that often. the food was very nice and looked like typical sri lankan.

not much to say as a negative point. Only (little) thing is that the restaurant looks a bit desolate .

Beautiful place with everything you need! Huge rooms, hot bath, beautiful surroundings. In the evening you can see a lot of fireflies, and it’s beautiful 😍

we had a wonderful stay at Sigirya water cottage. everything was perfect and the welcoming of Ruwan and his wife is incredible. They have a beautiful location with monkeys, peacock, lezard in the garden. the breakfest is very good. they offer also the dinner option which was delicious. the owner also organize a safari for us and it was really great. totally recommend the place!!!! you can also pay with credit card which is great

Superb place to stay, seriously don’t hesitate to book! We were only there for one night (unfortunately!) but Ruwan and his wife and their team made us extremely welcome and offered fantastic home cooked food for dinner and breakfast. Seriously great value and family run. All facilities as described and as shown in the pictures and the pool is super clean and well maintained. Away from it all and lots of birds/nature to enjoy including the amazing fireflies :-) Thanks Ruwan and team, we would definitely come back again if in the area.
