Air con worked well, quietness of the apartment away from traffic or other noise, good sized apartment near to the main transport hub. The owner was easy to contact and always courteous.

The boiler did not work so there was no hot water to shower, wash or wash up. The owner knew this but still took all of our cash payment, only to give some back after we involved Booking.com and asked him directly. He said that an engineer could not attend until after our stay of four nights. The apartment was tired looking with very cheap uncomfortable beds/bedding, kitchen utensils, pans etc. We were given a time slot to be able to shower in the adjoining apartment, also owned by the same person, but this did not fit in with our plans. My older girls were particularly (!) unhappy since the weather was very hot and we were sightseeing most of the time. The adjoining apartment was nicely refurbished, so we wonder if the high rating on Booking.com is for that one, not the one we stayed in? Most disappointing stay, which the aggro over the apartment nearly spoilt our trip. Since the World Athletics event was going on in Budapest at the time, a change of accommodation was not really an option, particularly as we had paid in advance and with cash on arrival. The owner was very apologetic and never rude, but we feel that Christian should have been more honest about the hot water issue at the outset, and should not have taken full cash payment on the first day.

good and fast communication with the host, nice and clean apartment, well equipped. Not far from the city centre. We enjoyed our stay.

Big apartment with separate bedrooms, air conditioning and kitchen.

Hot water is on gas boiler, which is very hard to control. The shower turns on and off constantly rotates hot and cold waves, It's very unpleasant.

I picked this location half-way through a 15-day trip to do laundry and relax in a hot bath. I was able to do both.

I booked a two-bedroom apartment because I was traveling with my brother, and we needed some space. The hot water went out in the apartment we booked. Thus we were moved to a studio with a loft. While the loft gave us a little separation, it was a disappointment.

Great location in a quiet street, very close to big tram station, pretty easy to find; clean and excellent accomodations, which ended up mattering a lot cause bad weather forced us to spend lot more time inside than we planned (I want to live in a place like this!) Host provided detailed instructions for everything and was quick to answer any questions we had, definitely give this place a try!

Excellent location! 10 minute walking distance to public transport options for easy access to all of Budapest. This property is on the Buda side in a very quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Two ample size bedrooms (split floor plan) with separate A/C units (and “black-out” window blinds) for optimal comfort. The kitchen is just large enough to sit a family of four for breakfast and it has all the appliances you need to prepare meals - or just store cold water and snacks you need for day trips. There is good free wifi and cable TV in the main bedroom/seating area. Christian, the host, is available to answer any question from time of initial reservation to the day you check out. He was there to greet us and even assisted us with our luggage!

The shower water temperature was unstable, going from hot to cold to boiling without notice.
