Cleanliness, food and a nice staff. Especially Pepe the shuttle driver.

Nearly 3kms off the main road. There was a shuttle charge to get to the main road and back. We took advantage of the scooter taxis which are much less expensive and more fun.

The nature and the calmness is incredible! such a nice place to relax and feel the nature and the peace of the Sierra Nevada.

It was no where near the beach, it was listed as being 1300 foot from beach. I booked because it was near the beach. The staff was inattentive and there were was no other guests while we were eating. I had to get up every time I needed anything. The food was terrible. Arepas were terrible. They didn’t even look or taste like they are supposed to.

everything. it’s really easy to just be there. to exist. the bungalow we had was right next to the creek and we got to listen to it flowing all night

it was perfect. the road to the place is rough. but it makes you just want to stay even more.

We knew from other reviews this was an off the beaten track place - we took a Moto-taxi with our bags up the hill and were rewarded by a charming spot high in the forest with a pretty garden and great pool, and very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was small but it was very clean and the beds had good mattresses and were very comfy. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were delicious. I would especially recommend the spaghetti Neapolitan which was delicious. We also went for a walk to a local spot in the river for a dip, about a 35 minute walk up the track. When we left the hotel arranged for Moto taxis to collect us to take us down the hill (8,000 cop each) and we were back on the main road and on to the bus in no time. The hotel also sent us excellent directions in English and Spanish of how to get to the property which made it easy for our shared taxi driver to drop us off on the main road.

Not surprising for being in the forest but the biting insects were quite bad. I would definitely recommend you bring bug spray.
