The bathroom was clean

The room had a really weird damp smell. And there were dead mosquitoes and insects lying around the room. The bed linen wasn't clean enough to sleep on as well. The fan was not working properly. I don't understand the 9.6 rating given to the place.

Das Zimmer war sauber und großzügig - wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter! Die Familie ist super freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich, so wie das Abendessen (konnte optional dazu gebucht werden). Alle lokalen Gerichte konnten wir so probieren. Jetzt, nach 2 Wochen Sri Lanka, war es das beste Frühstück und das beste Curry das wir gegessen haben. Uns wurde auf Anfrage ein Jeep inkl. Fahrer vermittelt (für Polonnaruwa und anschliessender Safari) - auch das funktionierte einwandfrei. Der Gastgeber bietet auch seine eigenen Tuktuk-Dienste an, sofern erwünscht. Durch die gute Lage konnten wir zum Lions Rock laufen. (Der Gastgeber hatte auch angeboten uns dorthin zu fahren)

Teilweise waren Affen morgens auf dem Dach das kann sehr laut sein.

A lovely place tucked away from the main road harmonized with nature. I love the patio where I could sit there and look out to the garden. The room is spacious and clean, the bathroom could have been improved though. The service is excellent, the owner welcomed me with tea and cookies. It's also within walking distance of lion rock but A bit far from the restaurant area. Watch out if you hang around and come back after 6:30 pm, the locals warmed us there would be elephants wandering around. This place is value for money, highly recommend it.

Toilet is a bit smelly, but could be improved

The people that run this place are the living embodiment of kindness. The guy will help you arrange your travels and make sure you’re paying correct prices, and can offer tourist and tuktuk services also very well priced. The woman cooks very well- say yes to chicken and curry! They also have two daughters that are also smart and kind. The garden is lovely and you will enjoy taking your tea there. I could just go on and on. Look no further- this is the best place in sigiriya.

Very nice and spacious room, very helpful owner who has a tuk tuk and can give you a ride for much better price then street tuk tuk drivers. His wife cooks great, we had rice and curry, great :)

really great stay at Woodsy villa. the room was amazing, really comfortable and the host could not have been nicer or more welcoming. good WiFi, nice breakfast and really quiet and peaceful.

Couldn’t expect a better stay! Quiet location, large size room and super comfy beds. Family greeted us with smiles and made us a delicious abundant Sri Lankan breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.
