Very nice place. We enjoyed a couple bonfires and relaxing in the hot tub. It was just my husband and I so we had l a lot of extra space but it was worth it to have some down time and quiet time.

My wife and I came here for 3 nights in late August and absolutely loved it! The area is very quiet and relaxing--the property is down a dead end gravel road which also has a good view of the Mississippi River at the end of the road. There was no truck or motorcycle traffic or businesses nearby, only the occasional sound of the chickens across the road. The neighbors were very friendly, too, and we enjoyed talking with them! The cabin itself was clean, spacious, and had good natural light. We liked the fireplace in the living room and ate several meals on the back deck/overhang. We appreciated the cabin is dog-friendly, too. I would definitely come back. Thank you!

The communication with Eric was great. Loved the location. The floor in the loft needs a sweep. Otherwise the house is really clean. Deck and the hot tub is real nice. Only complaint I would have is the fire pit is basically a pile of some rocks with no chairs.

Murph’s Hideaway is awesome! Very clean and has everything you need for a relaxing time with family and/or friends. Great location and the hot tub is really clean and nice! Lots of tables and chairs to eat at and very comfortable furniture. It’s like a home away from home!

The cabin location is nice, and well built / furnished. It is towards the end of a bluff. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars all around is that the pictures don’t show that there is a neighboring home quite close, right out the front door of the cabin.

My husband and I and our four adult children stayed for a fun July weekend. The cabin was well-appointed and cozy, and Eric was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay, and especially enjoyed the hot tub! Great property!

We had a wonderful time in a spacious cabin located on a private road and one very friendly neighbor, who also respected our privacy and the woods as a backdrop behind the cabin and large landscaped yard with a nice view. Modern appliances and and well equipped for pantry items in kitchen, linens and basic needs. A nice deck with hot tub and patio furniture on the upper level and exit to backyard and woods from the lower level den and bedroom. Overall, very pleased.

Cozy cabin, perfect for our weekend getaway

We loved our stay at Murph’s Hideaway! Everything was ready at check in and the location and communication with the owner was excellent! We enjoyed the hot tub and there was plenty of room inside the cabin for us all (pretty much 5 adults) to be very comfortable. We recommend!!

This was the perfect getaway! Very nice accommodations with all the amenities of home. They replied to all questions and made sure we got settled in. Would definitely stay here again.

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! It was a beautiful, peaceful cabin! The property manager was friendly and very helpful. My family and I felt like we were at one of our own homes when we were there! Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Cute little cabin. Great location. Communication was quick & easy. Loved having the hot tub for cool mornings and evenings.

The week we were here had the best weather we've had all summer, perfect temps and no humidity. When we arrived, we were a little surprised by the fact there was a neighbor right across the street, since we were expecting a very private stay. No need to worry, we hardly saw them and never heard anything out of them. It was very private and secluded in the back which overlooked a beautiful view of the valley and river. I neglected to take my rental contract which contained the key code to get into the house, but Eric, the property manager was very gracious and I called him and got it. The house had everything we needed, it was well lived in some areas, nothing major. The appliances all seemed new and worked great. I'm very short, so the high dining room table was a bit uncomfortable for me but didn't seem to bother anyone else. The grandkids took over the loft area and enjoyed that space. All in all, it was a wonderful place for a Mississippi River vacation and we enjoyed our time immensely.

Great location with great views. The cabin has everything you need amenity wise and is located in a remote area which will guarantee you peace and quiet. The night sky is amazing and you can really enjoy it by the well placed bonfire circle. Neighbors are kind and friendly, I'd recommend talking to them about firewood. All in all you will be satisfied staying here just like we were.

This was the best cabin ever. Me and my wife like to go to cabins. We have been to michigan and Tennessee and many others. But this 1 sure makes you feel like home. Also our 2 dogs loved the place being able to run around and enjoy. The hot tub was amazing. Clean upon arrival. Not may places keeps the hot tub clean but this place was good. If you like to watch stars and the moon at night this place just perfect, bought a telescope and can see the stars clearly. Would recommend this place just to get away from busy life. Glad It was secluded keeps you from going out . Just stay in and enjoy the privacy and quietness. Although there are neighbors across but they stay to them selves. Also 1 thing no blender. But it's ok over all perfect little vacation.

You’ll need more than a weekend to enjoy everything this cabin has to offer! Perfect for staying in and enjoying the hot tub, deck, fire ring, and living areas. But also a great location for adventures in the small river towns. Quiet and peaceful. Bird watching and star gazing on the deck. Plenty of space and everything you need! The hosts are wonderful.

Nice getaway for a few family birthdays. Intimate and nice cabin for those that just want to stay in and hangout. Not much to do on the property or In the cabin, so bring whatever you need to be entertained. Small kitchen, not connected to living room (wish we would have know this a head of time) also cheap/limited kitchen supplies…cooks and foodies may want to BYO kitchen supplies (pots, pans, knives, wine glasses etc.)

We were so thrilled with the experience and the cabin. It was a great price for an entire cabin, well-maintained, and very quiet and private. We will be returning!

We have been taking advantage of VRBO listings for many years and this one is one of the best! We property was everything we expected. Quiet, comfortable and beautiful. This cabin is in a secluded area that is easily accessible from the major road going through town. You can venture out and access the Mississippi, if you choose, or visit one of the small bars and restaurants. We had a blast for our girls weekend, taking full advantage of the hot tub.
