Quiet comfortable safe location. $13 taxi from Night Market, Abbot Street when too lazy or full to walk.

Julie`s is in a quite area, just about 20 min walk from the Lagoon & cbd. Even if you travel without a car, the city centre, supermarkets, etc are all in walking distance. I had the good luck to stay in the granny`s apartment with an own bathroom, kitchen & extra entrance which gave me a lot of freedom and flexibility. Beside this I could sit outside in the garden as well. Julie was a great host who is taking care of her place but also of her guests so that you feel comfortable right from the first moment.

The room is amazing, and very cozy. I'm really into its design. The host Julie, she is very nice. I like chatting with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stop over at ‘Homestay at Julie's’ in Cairns. Her home was exactly as described and suited my needs (relaxation) to a T! The place is extremely peaceful, very clean and quiet. I would recommend it for solo travellers and couples, because of the central location, access to facilities and beautiful garden terraces. Guests have access to spacious and airy bedrooms with TVs, free WiFi and views. The kitchen is modern, wood panelled, well-equipped and great for cooking. I felt welcome and comfortable here and would definitely book this place again. Julie was the perfect host, not only picking me up, but also inviting me to her Christmas day lunch spectacular ! which made me feel very much at home. She even provided a hand drawn map for the shortest route to walk to town. I can’t think of any improvements to the service and would just like to thank Julie for being such a friendly and thoughtful host!

The location was safe and easy to park, the yard was beautiful - every morning breakfast on the lanai watching the birds go for the berries on the trees. The kitchen is well stocked and no one else cooks so I had it to myself. The internet was good and room was comfortable. Julie’s cats are so cute!

Julie was very helpful, and I appreciated she was flexible for my odd check-in time, rearranging my accommodation situation, and giving directions for all places I wanted to go. The location was perfect for me as I like walking and jogging and to go everywhere I wanted to go; just within 35 min.on foot, I could go to Cairns harbor terminal, central shopping center, and botanical garden. It was reasonable price with even using Uber to go other places. It was quiet and confortable enough to have good sleeps as well. I also liked hearing bird’s’ sounds :-), though I hear noise of cars, which didn’t bother me.

If I may comment, I would say these can be improved; - smell and small insects in Kitchen, especially around kitchen sink. - it would be good to have more detail instructions at the beginning to fit Julie’s life style so that she would not be worrying about, eg. how trash/garbage needs to be separated, which towels to use to dry dishes, etc

I had a very great time at Julie’s Homestay. Julie was very nice to me. It was very clean and tidy. The Homestay is near by to most of the (or in my case every) pick up point of the tours. The reef fleet terminal is also near by (30 min walk - that’s ok). I also liked her two lovely cats very much. if I come back to Cairns I will stay at Julie’s Homestay again!

I stayed at Julie's place for a week and really enjoyed it. The house is comfortable, quiet, well equiped and kept clean. My bed was comfy and I really appreciated having enough space and furnitures to store my things. The neighbourhood itself is quiet and at reasonable distance from Cairns central and other shops. Julie is an active person and is always ready to help. I would definately recommend staying here!

Julie has created a really welcoming space in a good location just outside of Cairns CBD. Location is good as it's on a quiet street and walkable to everything you need. The accomodation is really comfortable with everything you need for a short or long stay, with all the amenities. Julie's super helpful with the check in, including helping with transport from the airport and information on the local area. Really recommend.

Perceivable noise from neighbour, especially upon watching television and expired food left in fridge by previous guests that was not disposed before we moved in

place had tropic feel with lots of trees. it was quiet and had a unique feel to it.

Very comfy and welcoming, the cats where the cutest. Julie picked me up from the airport and dropped me off as I left. She is very sweet clearly puts her visitors first.

Because it's winter the sun sets early. The street where Julie's place is located didn't have a lot of lights which was a bit creepy alone in the dark, but nothing she could so about that.

Quiet but close to shops, buses and railway station. The property was perfect for my needs.

I have no negative remarks about the property.

Truthfully l didn't feel welcome from the beginning

The host was so rude, while showing us the house she kept telling us to shut up and turn down the voice at 6pm, basically you could not even talk in that studio. No sink in the bathroom, you need to use the kitchen one. Mold on walls and next to the bed there was a leak. For the price paid you definetely could fine a better solution. Further more she didn't want us to use the aircon in order not to spend money. Unreal!
