They had an incredible Onsen. After a long day sightseeing, an hour in the Onsen makes you feel restored. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were exceptionally clean. Breakfast had a decent selection and catered for all tastes. I would highly recommend staying here, the location is perfect for Kyoto station and the public transport network was superb and easy to navigate.

The location was excellent, we loved the spa and the New Year's Eve mochi-making event was a lot of fun.

However, the rooms were very small with limited amenities.

AC was a bit difficult to properly adjust, and turned off when leaving the room so it was a bit too cold during our trip in January, especially after we checked in. The window also had a very small gap that let some air in from outside

都心でコンビニやご飯屋さんが沢山あり、駅近でバス停も近く、観光にとても便利でした。施設はおしゃれで、宿泊棟入り口、お風呂場の入り口がセキュリティがしっかりしていて安心安全でした。

部屋に造花が飾られていましたが、埃をかぶっており少し気になりました。 でも、それ以外は清潔にされてて満足です。

The breakfast was comprehensive and would suit every taste, the french toast was such a happy way to wake up each morning and eggs were cooked to order. The public bath (onsen) was exactly what we were wanting each day to wash away the day. Our room had a great airconditioner, the shower and toilet were separate and roomy and not one of those combined style that you find in small hotel rooms in Japan. There was plenty of room to walk around the beds and for 2 large suitcases. There was a wardrobe space as you walked in the door which was very useful for hanging up your coats etc. The beds were perfectly comfortable, but we did change our pillows which are available at reception. The rooms don't really have much of a view, but while that would have been lovely, it didn't change how we used our rooms. Opposite was an amazing Temple that needs to be seen to be believed on a wide French style boulevarde. We were close to 2 train stations to make it a really pleasant place to be. It was super easy to find. This place is absolutely worth staying at and had perfect Japanese charm as you entered. We could get anywhere we needed so easily from this location.

It was all fabulous, but spare towels in the public bath (onsen) would be convenient.

The room was not clean (stains on bedspread, glass imprint on wc paper holder). The toilet control did not work (lid cold and water ice cold). At least the staff was eager to help. The beds are too hard

The staffs were super polite, kind and accomodating. Not all of them speak English well but they were trying to help us in many ways. The room is also spacious and comfortable. They have onsen in the hotel itself so its additional value.

The location of the property is very good, 5min walking distance to Kyoto station. It is just across a very big temple/shrine. Onsen is very good, there is one small, and one large one, and they alternate them between men and women. SO if you are staying for one night, you might only experience the small one, which is still good.

Breakfast buffet is overpriced if you are looking for non-Japanese breakfast. Very limited buffet, one type of jam, no cheese, no tomato/cucumber, two types of cereal, and eggs.. they provide chicken meals (skewers etc) which typically westerners eat for dinner. Lobby is very small, there is no place to chill except for the rooms The temple view from the room is not worth the money, there is no flyscreen, so you cannot leave the window open. and there is metal wire on the glass, so the view is not breathtaking. the temple view room is facing a major road, so it is quiet busy if the window is open

Terrific location! Right opposite the Higashi Hongan-ji temple which made hotel very easy to find. The onsen (sento) facilities were great. There is a large and small onsen which alternate between days for use between men and women. The larger onsen has a nice outdoor plunge pool as well as a sauna and cold water plunge indoors. Very relaxing after a hard days sightseeing. Rooms were a good size. I was sharing a twin room. Breakfast was very nice with a selection of mostly Japanese food however there were also western style options so you won’t go hungry.

Bathrooms were compact but comfortable. It is Japan after all and space is limited.

目の前が東本願寺で、夜はライトアップ素晴らしい見晴らしでした 子どもが一緒でしたので畳でお布団もとても良かったです 3と1歳で寝相が悪くても怪我する心配もなくぐっすり眠れました

大浴場の床がかなり滑るので、小浴場の床のように畳だと安心して入浴できたかと お部屋の排水が詰まっていて、すぐにスタッフさんに改善して頂きました

The room was perfect and across from a temple!! Great view! The room was super comfortable and enough space for the 3 of us. All staff was so kind and we enjoyed walking everywhere!!

It was quite spacious compared to other hotels in Japan and the bath was really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. It really did feel like a cross between a Ryokan and a more western style hotel, which we appreciated.

A few steps from the station, useful for different movements, both for the city and for visiting other cities. Located in front of a temple, with an incredible view. In the area close to several places for dinner. Very kind and helpful staff. Clean room and good breakfast.

Room was very spacious and clean, and located very close to Kyoto Station. It's a great spot if you'll be taking a lot of day trips on the Shinkansen, but its a bit farther from a lot of the main spots in Kyoto. The neighborhood is nice though and there's not many tourists. The baths are wonderful, especially the larger one which has both outdoor and indoor baths (men and women switch between the large and small baths every day). Bed was comfortable. Overall, would highly recommend.

amazing hotel - riokan style, great atmosphere, very professional and helpful Staff, very polite, ready to answer all your questions. I recommend using the Japanese bath in this hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance from Kyoto Train Station. In front of the hotel there is a huge Temple complex [and it is free of charge to visit this amazing place!]. When you are in Kyoto, you definitely should visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and old part of Kyoto.

We loved this hotel with the nice rooms and especially the the public baths. The location is very convenient for travelling to and from Kyoto Station.
